sodi wet kart race inc crash
enter a D40 min race in the wet for some practice.
never been in these new sodi karts and never been around tamworth in the wet so have a few moments trying some different lines I manage to build a gap to still win the race even with the delay getting out of the tyre barrier thanks to quick recovery from the marshal thanks mate.

I drove in the D40 later on in the same afternoon, I really enjoy these sodi karts both in the wet and dry, although I've not driven DMax or anything such like to compare it to. Glad to see my lines were similar to yours! I'll be uploading my video soon too :)

Mark Bramford I prefer the dmax to be honest but this was my 1st time in these new sodi karts.

GoProKarting thanks I didn't like the balance with these sodi karts too much understeer but they did have really hard dry tyres on I prefer to be hard on the brakes and power to help get the back end to oversteer around the corner but with the negative camber of some corners on the track the karts didn't like it just gave me understeer.

Went Saturday in SODIs. Rained for an hour before our session and we had dry tyres... Rediculous understeer at times, our 10min quali session was a complete shambles! managed a 1:17.8 in the race Nice driving on your part!

yes I haven't driven much with the sodis but last time I remember them being tricky to get the best out of them

@@SASraceCAM heading back in Sept to try the DMAX karts. Fingers crossed it's dry!

yes the Dmax on the full track is nice watch out for the brakes very sharp

***** no the rain wasn't that bad its just the karts have a hard compound dry tyre on so not much grip out of the tyre.

+Christopher Homer I minute 15 secs near the end of the race as the track dried a bit i didn't like the grip from the hard dry tyres they gave me a lot of understeer

+SASraceCAM Thanks. Went last night for the first time. It was very wet and very dark. Best lap was 1:17 so just wanted to see how I compared! Totally agree about the under steering.
