WH40K Rogue Trader E13 - This is my planet now (and Idira crosses a line) 

In today's Adventure of Warhammer 40,000 Navigator, Cassia takes her rogue trader places.

Once this mess is done, you should talk to your crew members about their disagreements with Cassia.

400 willpower Cassia on a whim; "do you think they have a bird i could keep as a pet? i hope that's not too much of an ask." *blushing and awkward glances* **Quartermasters eyes glaze over and the whole deck of the ship where this was said stands to attention receiving a vision of Emperor's angel demanding birds of finest breeding by the hundreds and that's now their holy quest that will be met, damn the consequences.** "I think I can manage to find something suitable your ladyship." Boom, hundreds of birds, confused Navigator. I like how Perun's stacking willpower build meshes so nicely with the canon of the game. :D Well, in hindsight, nobody should be surprised Lady Navigator is warping reality by trying to be nice. I did kind a call it was gonna be a thing, her willpower just bleeding into simple words to become divine mandates, internally consistent shenanigans. At least she's not even remotely corrupted or mean person, that's how sectors fall. Best option would probably to make sure people who serve Cassia also talk to someone else before acting on ANYTHING, she is just forcing shit to happen accidentally and is utterly confused about the results as much as anyone else. Innocent but dangerous to extreme. Hard lyfe but that's what genesplicing warp into humans and ten thousand years of inbreeding and added coddling away from eyes of all other authority figures results in; wierd wacky shit and ditzy clueless heiresses. She likely needs a rude Blank as her personal Head Servant to make this problem not repeat itself, sadly those are even rarer than Navigators.

One thing that will save you a lot of time going forward is you don't need to fly all the way back to Footfall whenever you want to buy/sell with the merchants. Once you've located a merchant, you can use Janris Danrok on the bridge to interact with them remotely at any time and sell them cargo or buy their stuff. Also, really curious to see how all this stuff with Idira finally goes down and I'm sure you'll figure it out yourself, but... it sounds like, to get the option you want, I recommend keeping her alive through this particular ordeal and then talking to Heinrix on the bridge afterwards.

So hey, when you have those choices of what to do and you see the little arrows next to your options, you can hover over those to see what you get or lose from picking it. You might know that already but figured I'd mention in case you don't. Edit- Also, some planets do have more buildings than you see slots but it actually isn't a limit like it looks like it is. I was able to continue building so long as there were still valid things to build.

Oh boy, can't wait to see what our precious navigator and her very loud Rogue Trader pet are up to this time! And the other cast of colorful characters of course...

Quick PSA: during colony events, you can hover over the little double arrow next to the choices and see the mechanical effects that the choice will have.

Cassia is on the one hand really terrifying. She led a person kill their family and themselves just because of a sentence she said that she probably not even really thought about. On the other hand she is a kind soul who lived her whole life complete sheltered by mute servants as the heir of a noble house. It is as always just the Imperium being a shity place

If there's a planetary choiche like this, always ask your advisors opinion, that chages many outcomes in a positive way. Also, i think you already have the dialogue option with Heinrix, to get rid of Idira (but a bolter shot is prolly much less painful option...)

I am uncertain about the effects of Complacency. From the description, it would mean (per point) a 10% bonus to PF (for the planet? The whole? How does rounding goes?) and a 10% malus to build speed, not bonus (which would make sense for the modifier's name, complacency). Not sure either how time operates, could it be on a per-jump basis? Mission related? Can Footfall starve if we take too long to reclaim Janus? Edit: It was confirmed in the replies that complacency does increase build speed, and as such is entirely beneficial

You should have used your ship's ram against those chaos scout ships. If there's one thing I learned from Gothic Armada, it's that using your own ship _as the torpedo_ is often more effective than actual torpedoes

I do like how Perun finds a planet full of a rivals unwanted refugees and yoinks it with no thought to the admittedly probably minor political repercussions

We still don't know if our inquisitor interrogator friend is a puritan or a radical. His lord inquisitor could easily be a daemonhost using radical. No one goes full heretic like an inquisitor.

I like the void combat in this game... after you get a few abilities. It's frustrating as hell until you get to that point 😅 Also: if something launches torps at you then the best option is to head in the other direction, if you do that then the torps will fizzle before they get a chance to turn around.

Hey @PerunGamingAU, you can talk to ur Quartermaster guy to buy stuff from the rep guys without needing to go to each planet. Its one of the guys by the holo-table in ur bridge. Also more projects become available in the future.

This is the first time I've seen a videogame actually depict Aeldari holofields in a way that makes me believe they'd make targetting a nightmare.

Love these videos, keep them up! One small nitpick, you're misreading complacency, +2 complacency gives +20% profit factor but slows the speed at which projects complete by 20% so you want to do +complacency projects last

But Perun... I don't want you to kill or get rid of Idira. I personally like her!

A small bit of advice going forward that you'll probably want, Perun, is that reputation rewards seem to be really undertuned at the moment. To the point it can be a struggle to max ONE faction, yet alone multiple. So if you want the REALLY good goodies at the end of their stores (which expands in Chapter 4), you should dedicate all your goods to one faction, and only trade your spares that they're not interested in to another. (Even taking one other faction to level 10 can prevent you from maxing one). This also means anything that gives you reputation with a faction is VERY valuable. (Also as an FYI, the only Power Armor you can get for yourself or your tank of choice in the game comes from the Drussians).

Not sure if you notice later, but complacency decreases build speed. So more profit, but less construction.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Complacency in colonies is actually a good thing. It increases your profit factor with the alleged downside of making the planetary projects take longer to build. I think that second part is bugged.

FYI if you get Cassi killed, your ship can still travel through the warp, so she not that important

Loving the series! It might be a good idea to do a character build guide at some point, especially now that you've played through a bit of the game and gotten a handle on the system.

Do you ever get anything better than a frigate? From what I understand,some Rogue Traders have battlecruisers highly decked out with all the bling they can buy or steal under their control,if not better.

In regards to the ending of the episode... Very mild spoiler: There is an achievement for handing over... Blasphemous party members... To the Inquisition, by talking to Heinrich. You just need to be a snake. Pretend all is well with these companions until they've outgrown their usefulness to the Empire and then... Have them removed.

Happy New Year! If I may offer a few observations about colony management; you should be somewhat selective regarding construction projects since you will unlock new, higher-tier ones as you progress through the story & in later chapters and you will not have enough slots to build everything available. Also, during those colony events where you are asked to make a choice, it is generally advisable to have as many story companions alive onboard as possible (*cough* Idira *cough*), as their opinions sometimes unlock more beneficial/less detrimental resolution options than the ones available by default.

One thing to note about Living Saints and powers of Faith in general is that until the Fall of Cadia book, they weren't affected by Blanks at all. There's even a story of a bunch of Sisters of Battle being captured by Drukari and basically sewn together to torture them transferring their souls into one sister who was freed. A Calexus Assassin was there to kill someone and when the assassin pointed his weapon at one of the people the Sister was trying to save he suddenly burst into golden flame. Of course, if this were a regular psychic power it shouldn't have been able to hurt him but the faith of a thousand Sisters of Battle merged into one will was more than enough to fry him. Unfortunately, with the Fall of Cadia and necron pylons making Celestine flicker it seems GW is moving in the "Emperor Daemons" direction which is much less interesting to me than the idea of human powers of faith being drawn from somewhere other than the warp.

Just an FYI - more planet projects appear later and those aren’t all of them.

I thought complacency reduced build speed. doesn't it say it "affects the profit factor and build speed.... Increasing and decreasing them by 10% for each point of complacency respectively" respectively means that the first modifier applies to the first thing to be modified and the second applies to the second. so in this case that would be increases profit factor by 10% and decreases project speed by 10% per complacency.

I thought the theory was that the Living Saints could be Daemon Princes of the Emperor? and the Legion of the Damned could be Daemons of the Emperor? and the Sanguinor could be a Greater Daemon of Sanguinius?

You should make that long northern route more stable, you're going to being travelling a lot along it, there's two worlds and many routes

"imagine A society without a police force" so Britain until 1829 ... A society without Police and fear is possible. Police is a simple and bad solution to a complex problem. Especially if you look at how we do police today. Of cause you need things to keep the law up and to organize fire protection / emergency responses. But those things can be done without the need of violent repression. (like it has been done in London back then where the Citizen e.g. Everyone was able to bring a crime to the court and have it be judged. That is actually how Scotland Yard started. It was a group of citizens that, through donations, financed and contacted investigations and the fight against crimes. And people where extremally suspicious against Scotland yard and police in general at the beging. 1) because they where always a force of supression. Often being a military branch even (like in Prussia and France) 2) they recently got rid of a "police" that was led by the "thief general" so called because he used that police to organize his gang. People in general won´t do crime unless they feel they have to. Either because that is how society works (and the solution for that is to have honest people be able to bring crimes to the courts). Or because they are missing an alternative to survive and the solution here is to give them an alternative. Have them not starve to death (or not be attacked by people with gun... which OH dang the police has guns ... BAD IDEA) Society has for the largest part of itself functioned without the need for an Organisation whose sole duty is to suppress people. And to reproduce and strengthen cliches against minorities and use these against these minorities. And of cause there are people who get tricked into, or trick themself into, believing that the crime they commit is justified or doesn´t harm anyone. And that is what the bringing to court is for. But the solution is not to send a force meant to suppress people into there home destroy there life and put them into a place where they will meet other criminals and organize. The solution is helping them understand why what they did was wrong and how to be a better person and not to suppress them and create a feeling of "justified" anger. As a ruler as the powerful or status quo you of cause want Suppression to exist because any radically different view will put your position at danger. It can, and will, change Society and with it your ,comfortable, position in it. It is then no surprise that police in many countries act so violently against bigger protest groups (like Climate Change, Black Life Matters, and justice reforms (think defund police and so on)) because there job is, and the only thing they now and are educated for is Suppression. People in it aren´t even the bad guys. They surely Believe they are doing something good. And they might even push to do the best they can. But there job is, by the nature of it self, to suppress anything that is not in accordance to the status quo.
