I feel like i would love if the b&w tweeter was on the wharfedale because the top end sounds more open. The tweeter on the linton85 gives me bluetooth speaker vibes.

mids and bass better on the Lintons for obvious reasons , but on the hi’s the bowers ! i liked bright in your face treble speakers, so for my tastes i preferred metal dome tweeters than soft domes.

Linton sounds rich and the bass is amazing....not bad for the small speakers from B &W

Great video on the Lintons I have these along with the stands too I have them hooked up to a Cyrrus One 100 w per channel amp & sound superb 👍 As you & other reviewers have mentioned yep you can listen to these all day & not get fatigued ( need to change your doctor me thinks !!😂)

I listened to the sound test again. The B&W are very aggressive, suitable for parties, whereas the Linton are perfect for more subtle and refined music, like classical or Pink Floyd...

@@AlexanderG-mi7ip I'd say the Lintons are better for parties too. Deeper bass, most likely much higher volume without sounding stressed, less treble so you can listen loud for longer without ear fatigue.

the room sounds very lively with a lot of reverb, the B&W sounded too small for the room as expected, the Lintons sounded effortless, much better size speaker for the room.

Miss your funny stuff. The b&w's get the extra corner bass. The Warfie's sound very clean. Maybe try the Wharfie's in the corner.

Hi, thanks for the vid👌 That answer my question that Marantz Model 50 should be a great association with the Linton Heritage i think. I'm looking for this pack with CD60 player ( no need streaming for me). Just one question, could you tell me if it's bassy enough at low volume level (with increasing bass on the amp of course) without the need to add a subwoofer? I loved my old Pioneer sa 520 for its Loudness button with low volume... Thanks for your answer my friend.

You have to understand that two colossi are facing each other, one of them is a giant killer like the Linton speakers with 59 years of musical tradition and world best sales, against another marvel of sound that is the B&W with new sound technologies and new materials and prices. much more expensive. The decision is not easy, because we do not all hear the same, each ear is different.

Andrew Robinson was right. Those B&W are crap. I became Wharfedale fan since I got a pair. Before I had Monitor audio with a same metalic tweeter 🫨😵‍💫
