They are on duty 24-48 hours. They have sentry duty (what you're looking at) 2 hours on 4 hours off. If you can't stand for 2 hours then take a 4 hour break you probably should seek medical attention. People stand at registers for 8 hours a day every day.

I've gotten close to fainting in the army fortunately I'm super short just barely met us standard so in a sea of green uniforms the guy behind me just propped me up an said "take a breath and force your face red for a sec Bud, an stop locking your knees, slight bend" he meant for me to basically force blood to my brain by inside grunting to reverse it. Lol fortunately nobody noticed but the few around me😂😂😂 so embarrassing.

As an American, we are certainly full of our own military traditions that can seem to make no sense but once you take a moment to appreciate the history of every movement, every portion of the uniform, and or his acceptance of the duty and his relief of duty. One begins to feel a bit more weight of past souls giving to the ideal. Congratulations on a wonderful military tradition while not imposing said tradition on the public. Good on ya'll.

I think that guard is just struggling to stay awake but you can’t blame tourists for recording as police and military come to assist him.
