You might’ve been thinking of the Smash Bros Melee stage called Hyrule Temple where this theme makes its comeback. So good. But in Zelda 2 they’re called palaces.

Agahnim’s theme has a slower tempo for the last section (where it rises back up the scale - 1:48 from here onwards) compared to Ganandorfs theme from Ocarina of time. It’s subtle but a slight change.

8/10 The Ganondorf/Agahnim theme I said it comes from Ocarina Of Time. I played to ALTTPast a long time ago on game boy advance And the other one I missed is I had totally forgotten about the Milk bar of Majora's mask but now I perfectly remember. I haven't played MM since I was 7-8 (yes scary game for that age) and now I'm 26 so it's been a very long time ago for me.

I love how it's so Pavlovian that I just say "Zelda chord" whenever you ask what chord that is xD

Man I totally agree with your opinion on hyrule field from Twilight princess, to me it’s got so much energy and power in it enforced by the brass that is quite scarce in Zelda music for the most part!

The more you mention the bVI "Zelda chord" the more I hear it in every soundtrack. Can't wait for that video!

The only reason I was able to guess Agahnim over Ganon was because I've played enough OoT to know that it didn't sound exactly right and not the other way around. That being said, LttP is coming up on my to-play list. My favorite song from this selection probably goes to Lost Woods, but Kass's Song holds a very special place in my heart as well. Maybe in another 20 years I'll be more nostalgic for it and rank the song higher!

I'm 9/10 on this one! Aganihm's theme got me. I thought it was one of the Wind Waker's variations on Ganondorf's theme, when you're infiltrating the fortress for the second time.

TOTK lookout landing? 24: Gotta be Twilight Princess, Hyrule field maybe? Didn't we have that in a prior video? 25: This is from BOTW. My first thought is Hateno but I think that's wrong. (yep, it was wrong) 26: This sounds like Ocarina of Time Hyrule field, but I thought we had that already too? XD Maybe from an older game I guess. 27: Gotta be an adaptation of the LTTP game shop theme, so I am going to speculate that it's a later game's game shop theme, but I have no idea XD 28: Can't place it but definitely sounds like a boss or serious dungeon theme. Please do a deep dive theory video into the music of Tarrey Town (specifically in BOTW) and the variations and how it changes as the sidequest evolves!!!

I definitely count the Palace theme from Zelda II as being correct (it's called Temple in Super Amash Bros. Melee, btw.)

The insight into the Avengers and James Bond themes sharing simularities is why I subbed to this channel, love those little tidbits!

I also guessed oot kakariko and I didn't recognize the milk bar (but mm is one of my least played) but I got all the rest! Excited to play this game some more!

At the end of this video I am 24 for 30 not bad for not completing some of the older games in the series but Twilight Princess is my favorite game, it has some really great music in it and it has respectfully filled my playlists with its majestic songs. Every song so far that came from it I have gotten within mere seconds of hearing it. Also great job on this video! I love what you do keep it up!

I was having such a bad and crappy day, so I wanted to indulge myself in Zelda content to make me feel better. The message at the end of the video caught me offguard, it made me cry! (In a good way I guess? 😅)

In regards to the word "Palace" being used to describe the title of the dungeon theme from Zelda 2, unless if you were playing in European Spanish, each localized version of every Zelda game prior to Ocarina of Time localized "temple" as "palace", while Italian versions strangely went back-and-forth on this. This is because Nintendo of America had a strict "no religion references or iconography" rule at the time prior to 1998. Simply put, they went the 4Kids route on pretty much everything. Though enforcement of this rule was never consistent, and by 1994, the year Final Fantasy 6 was localized in the West, Nintendo of America seems to have eased up on the rule. It's safe to assume that, by 1998, that rule was abolished at some point, due to the references and iconography present in Ocarina of Time.

Yeah i totally missed Agahnims theme, also i thought the Kakariko theme was the fishing hole theme, which ill actuallycount, since the fishing hole uses the same theme if im not mistaken.

I nearly forgot it. 5. No idea. Didn't play it yet. 6. Hyrule theme OoT. Easy peasy brother. 7. The milk bar in clock town from Majora's Mask. 8. Palace theme from Zelda II. Easily one of my favorites. I agree with the other commentor that you were thinking of smash bros. 9. No idea. 10. Saria's song from OoT. Also lost woods in both OoT and MM. 7/10 unless you count the first one. I'll take it because I've been 7/10 in for the last two videos.

There are a few subtle differences between the Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time versions of Kakariko village. There's the funny little grace notes(?) in the melody, and most notably I don't think the Gmaj chord was in ALttP. Maybe it was like once but not all of the times it was present in the Ocarina of time version. The Hyrule Field theme from Twilight princess is also in a different time signature than Midna's lament, and I think it also has a few more melodies. BUT the second melody in that theme/midna's lament is very similar to the second melody in the Dark World theme... so you're probably right.

Where do you go to learn music jargon? One of my biggest gripes with my elementary school music teachers that "taught" the recorder was never explaining what a 1/2 note vs full note is... Let alone what a chord is lol.

It's "sah-ree-ah". As you've said before, Japanese is very phonetic, particularly with its vowel sounds. And the standard romanization spellings reflect that. "A" is always "ah", "I" is always "ee", "U" is always "oo", "E" is always "eh", and "O" is always "oh". And all vowel sounds are short (one syllable or mora length) by default (unlike how Westerners often draw out "ee" and "oo") but do have longer forms, usually identified by a doubling of the vowel (or appending "u" in the case of "o" sounds) or adding of a macron (as in "ō").

Is there a significant difference between the Ocarina of Time and the Link to the Past version of Kakariko village? It always seemed like a Transliteration of the LttP version to the N64 sound font.

And BTW Twilight Princess Hyrule Field theme is the best Hyrule theme. Change my mind and fight me lol.

I'm giving myself a half mark for aghanim because like... it's the same song as ganons theme so they sound way too similar when they're both played on piano. other than that I've gotten them all
