Ihsahn was only a guest on this track. But, fun fact. Ihsahn's wife is Einar's (vocals) sister, so there's one reason 😊 Einar has such an amazing voice. I like more of their earlier works, but it's a great band nonetheless. Also Leprous (current and past members) is basically Ihsahn's live band

One of my favorite bands for sure. Suggestions for songs to react: The sky is red, Slave, Illuminate, The Valley, Nighttime disguise, Castaway Angels, Rewind, Moon, On hold, The price.. and many more.

I started listening to Leprous in the middle of the pandemic when I was working on fixing up my house to sell it(ahhh the memories), so they will always hold a special place in my heart. I don't know anything about this particular concert, but it's awesome that Ihsahn is there too. This song was awesome! 🤘🤘

Ihsahn is not in the band, but he fit so well here!!! And Einar's voice is from another world, he sounds powerful, yet so sweet!!

Ok, so I wasn't imagining it, there really are two drummers! I thought my mind was playing tricks on me! I'm impressed! Wasn't sure I would like it at first, but it grew on me ❤

This was really good. The first vocalist reminded me of Devon Townsend a bit. Yea, this was a cool track for sure, and it was live, and they sounded epic. Greatness as always Tommy.

When Ihsahn played his solo stuff live Lepeous were basically his backing band. Excellent stuff.

This was like an awesome mix of Jinjer, Tool, Epica, Ne Obliviscaris and Muse that I didn't know I needed😂

THANK YOU FOR CHECKING THIS OUT. THIS BAND IS PHENOMENAL! THIS PERFORMENCE IS GREAT! This song doesn't have a lot of Einars voice, but WHEN you find a song that does(Forced Entry or Nighttime Disguise especially), his voice is AMAZING! Einar and Ihsahn are brother in law too! They collabed in Contaminate Me, Thorn, Splitting The Soul, Arrival, Chronic, Bury, Celestial Violence, and Disassembled. (I think thats all of them) Leprous and their demo material is really good too at least for demos, like Silent Waters.

The Rockefeller center in Oslo has a capacity of 1300 people, isn't it insane that these guys put up this unbelievable performance in such a "tiny" venue? I live in Norway, this song reminds me of a winter storm that feels chaotic and intimidating, only to get more intense and worse and worse. Until it gets to the part where it sounds like a haunted torturing dungeon, of course

Many years ago I went to Wacken and I was super excited to see Ihsahn perform. While I was waiting with my friends in front of that stage, could hear some warm-up jamming happening behind the curtain. It sounded really awesome, but it wasn't from anything was involved in. Then when the Ihsahn's set began, and there was this amazing keyboardist singing his guts out. And the backing band were incredible. It was a highlight. Blew my mind. When I got back to the hotel, I googled and found out that the keyboardist was Ihsahn's brother-in-law, Einar. And the rest of backing band were Einar's own band, Leprous. Needless to say, I've been a Leprous fan ever since. And later on, I realised that the music I heard being jammed on was Leprous.

Acquired Taste from this concert showcases a lot of Einar's voice (uffff what a voice), it is unbelievable. He growls too, amazingly actually, on Rewind from this concert he does it I believe. The flood is an awsome one as well. I love them :) and I love Ihsahn as well, and you two do look alike. I much prefer the old stuff because it is heavier but the new songs are definetly woth it too. Hope you get to do more from them! Thanks for the reaction.

Leprous used to be Ihsahn's backing band for his solo work, while still doing their own thing, but probably got to busy with their own music.

I have thought you and Ihsahn do look alike. No Ihsahn is not a permanent member of the band, he is a friend of the band, more specifically the brother in law of Einar Solberg, who is the lead vocals. They have collaborated a few times. Einar's vocals are an acquired taste, but once you are on board, Leprous and the entire catalog is outstanding. Baard Kolstad (current drummer, the one without his shirt, which is very common) also happens to be one of my favorite drummers in prog music today. I hope others will offer up some suggestions from Leprous, but if not, I will be happy to assist. Great job btw.

Druumer on the right (with his shirt on) is the former drummer of Leprous, Tobias Ørnes Andersen. He also play on some of Ihsahn's newer stuff

Ihsahn is not in the band but this is such a perfect collab. Love this song. Einar is an amazing vocalist. One of the best voices in metal right now IMO. You should check out more from them. I like "Castaway Angels" and "Nighttime Disguise" from their newest album.

If you're looking for talent you're looking the right side by there! Leprous is so great with incredibly awesome musicians (especially Baard Kolstad, the regular drummer on the left with no t-shirt). You should go ahead with “the moon" or "the price" ♥️

Yea, Leprous is on another level. So upset with myself I haven't seen em live yet. Took me years to fully get into em.

I'm really happy you got to Leprous. I know there are a lot of suggestions in here but I highly recommend Slave, from this same live concert. That will give you an idea of what Leprous are like on their own. Einar's voice is something else. If you want to hear a solo song that he did featuring Ihsahn, it's called Splitting the Soul - great contrast of voices.

Some synchronicity here, I was just listening/watching Devin Townsend's "Juular" video and someone commented on that video that the Chorus of "Juular" was done by Ihsahn (I thought it was DT), never heard of him, and here he pops up on this video as well! BTW, DT's official video of "Juular" is worth the watch!

Wow, I saw Leprous live, many many moons ago, they were opening for Amorphis. I remember absolutely nothing from that event, for example I don't remember seeing two drummers, and I don't remember them sounding so insanely good. I am aware that they perform with Raphael Weinroth-Browne live, I think I'll go search for a performance within him, cause he's really cool. Tommy, you do look like Ihsahn. It's the beard and the glasses, I think.

I'll start with what I didn't like: both vocalists. Both the cleans and the screaming felt a bit forced to me, especially the harsh. I will listen to the studio version to get a better impression. I didn't like the two drummers. WTF? Why would anyone do this? As a result the drums sounded a bit mushy for my taste.... BUT: That being said, the song was impressive. I enjoyed it a lot. This is a band I wanted to check out for a long time, happy you did it for me ;) Please more from them!
