This is an excellent video on a wonderful species. One thing a lot of folks don't mention is that in the wild, males ultimately end up the larger of the two sexes. Morelia Bredli, like some members of the Morelia Spilota family engage in male to male combat. Because of that, larger males typically win those battles and the right to mate. Nick Mutton explains this pretty well. He relates it to mammals and gives examples where males are the larger sex for that reason. I consider Nick to be the top dog when it comes to Bredli and venture to guess he has the largest collection of Bredli anywhere in the world. I'm sure in captivity females may be generally larger but that is likely due to how folks keep them. Another factor may be the physical output a male breeder must sustain.

Just bought a pair of hatchlings! I’ve got over 500 ball pythons and 7 Retics, 2 dumerils boas. I predominantly breed ball pythons and Retics, but I’ve decided to branch out and decided to go with Bredli Morelia as there aren’t many guys in South Africa breeding them. As soon as I saw them, I was “I have to have those!” That look great! Can’t wait to pick them up next month!

This vid is awesome! Thank you for that! All these snakes are so beautiful and tame. It warms my heart a lot to see there are other people loving this species ♥️ it's so uncommon in my country, only one breeder I know about. I think I have to become the second one haha

Gorgeous! I have a bredli female who is actually about 6ft and she is quite heavy, I also have a Coastal Carpet Python who is a juvenile around 70-80cm

Love Bredl's! Such fun placid nature! Got five of them and they're all so calm! Except my hypo.... he's insane.

Beautiful species but they need a massive enclosure in my opinion as they are big and so active! I’d say at least 4x4x2 or 5x3x2 ft

I still laugh at people calling them carpet’s when they’re not. Beautiful snakes.

Wow! Beautiful. I just found out about this python. What length does a male get as a full grown adult?

Great snakes, but what is meant by "decent size" for a female? I have a young female who was a little flighty at first but she's calming down.

Maybe a dumb question, but what exactly is the stonewash morph? Does it enhance or mute the red pigment?

Both my males are snappy as shit! The girls are way chill but I got tagged off the larger female once as she thought she'd be getting fed. I can't just reach in like you do for any but my baby girl.

Not sure why you feed only once a month but you should be be feeding more than that. At least two times a month minimum.....
