Riot next passive: If you get a first blood you win the game, if the enemy does you lose the game. Its a balanced passive. 50% of the time you win and 50% of the time you lose. Doesnt matter if its fun.
Actually, they’re going to rework Twisted fate so that so that every q he had a 3/60 chance of obtaining a xodiae card and after getting five of them, the next auto attack one shots anything that is not Baron/Elder/Rift/Drake
Not really as Skooch said he's a hard champion. I mean it's not hard to imagine that half of the players using him will just E into 1v5 and die immediately because they're trying to get a scoundrel bounty
@@mifigor1935 Yeah. But if you have half a brain and you're coordinated there's not really anything the enemy team can do. @@mifigor1935 Difficulty doesn't justify potential power, just because Pantheon is easier than Qiyana that doesn't mean Qiyana has by design to be a better champion. Even moreso, if the difficulty curve depends on the average player being stupid and not the champion itself being actually difficult, then it's not actual difficulty: Akshan may have a shitton of lines of effects, but remember, they're all passive: they just exist, the player themselves has to do nothing wacky to activate them.
@@Tom-re6zo Akshan seems pretty lackluster in game, the only real value he has is that w, his q does no damage, he has very low mobility because that hook doesn't do anything realistically, his r has an INSANE amount of counterplay, and his stealth reveal circle is literally the size of the lane. You don't have enought tf value as an akshan until you kill someone and by then the enemy team, if they have, even less than half a brain will focus you down and kill you, and if they're playing anyone who isnt akshan and you aren't severely behind you will beat the akshan, because akshan damage isnt actually all that good unless you're fed

Akshan gets a Vayne skill at the start of the game and my favorite champ needs 15 seconds to be able to use the passive again. Poppy is trash compared to this dude.
According to their tweets, answers and QnAs it's not difficult to figure out that most of the people that works at Riot is powertripping. They all act like "Oh I'm the designer and you're not so I know better than you what you want". We've seen this extensively with Aphelios in LoL (the famous 200+ years tweet) and in Legends of Runeterra when they tried to deepthroat the Azirelia deck in the players' gullets and kept repeating that the deck was healthy, balanced and interesting and we were not good enough to figure out. The only difference is that the LoR team figured out the problem with their approach to the game, the LoL team not so much.
Please, when Riot implements the passive: "every time a champion attacks while Yuumi attached to them, they use Yuumi as a bat to somehow deal more damage but Yuumi takes that damage as well" then I'll be convinced.
Friendly reminder Zilean gets a 99% movespeed increase he can functionally double cast and he can use it on himself and allies and *still* doesn't slow himself :p
Boy, remember when killing a unit with Ashe gave her like, 2 extra gold, and Riot said "no she gets too much money for playing the game normally" And now there's Pyke and Akshan.

And their solution... was making him slow after he did all of that xD
I think Akshan would have been fine if they cut his W's passive in half and made the scoundrel bit his passive with a cooldown on the reviving. Heck, he could even do extra damage to scoundrels and I'd be fine with that.
Yes that's what I was thinking, like it shouldn't be a full revive they could just cut the revive cooldown in half, they could even make it scale with level so the revive cooldown gets lower and lower, but a full revive off the bat seems a bit unbalanced imo
@@cottoncandylol7175 Those are ability passives. His true passive (P) is just a flavoured Vayne passive with extra toppings. If you add up all his passives and ability passives you can probably fit 2 of Garen’s entire skill set in there.

@@rhetthayes5981 In lane sustain is always gonna be strong if not dealt with delicately. You can laugh at Nasus for having lifesteal as a passive but literally most champs will take bloodline as a rune just to they have sustain. Jax has ZERO innate healing. I would love it if they change it up so he heals a bit so he doesn't get bullied in lane in a matchup against a champ with healing. Imagine if Riot made it so Nasus has a flat 20% lifesteal at all levels. That would be stupidly broken. Because then all he has to do it fuckin take Tear and he virtually has infinite resources. Point is, the older passives are stupidly simple but strong in their own right. It's like comparing a fucking assassin to a bruiser and going, "huh i wish my x champ has Darius levels of durability while still being able to oneshot squishies in half a second" it makes zero sense when you say it out loud.
That’s why I stopped playing. They just can’t seem to balance the game. A hot fix comes out every odd week or so, nerfing Champions into oblivion, making others OP, two weeks later the same shit happens all over again. It’s so fucking stupid.
Yet they keep spamming out new Champs. It’s almost impossible to learn this game as a newbie, you need hundreds of hours just to figure out what champion can do what, further more estimate cooldowns and what not. It’s a joke.
That resurrection passive sounds really strange. It's going to be useless in like 80% of situations, but those 20% are going to feel like the most broken thing ever. End game with long queue timers, if he gets the right kill it'll be like catching the Golden Snitch.
As long as he revives one Champ in a team fight, doesnt matter if fight won or lost, it is already pretty strong. Becouse at the verry least this revived champ can farm and earn xp and gold and/or ward to set up vision for the next objetive. Depending on who survived the fight in the enemy team it might even completly deny a push or baron. In the early game, your jungler/laner beeing alive 10 seconds before the enemy can lead to such an momentum advantage. This has the potential to be a nightmare for highelo and Proplay. I guarantee you it is going to be nerfed.
He doesn't even need a kill. He just needs assist to resurrect and not only that, it grants bonus gold after the revive. But Akshan only need assist for that bonus gold plus revive your ally and not only that, he had 4 other passives.

@@jonasvogel3672 And I'd believe that if he were weaker than, say, Cait by a wide margin. His kit has so many goodies in it his starting stats and scaling should be hilariously bad... But it's not.
My biggest critique of Askhan was that reading his kit was reading 10 different champions abilities put together the only original things are they hook and the w passive.
Oh yeah, easy fix for this revive shit. Have it so that when the scoundrel dies, the champs they killed get their death timers reduced by the same percent of damage Akshan did to the Scoundrel. If he solo killed them from full, insta revive. If he tapped them with an auto and did 10% HP, they get 2 seconds off their 20 second timer.
Honestly that ability looks so annoying, imagine dying past 20 minutes and you tab out to watch a couple episodes of anime before you respawn but then your akshan is just like "revive time!"

There's actually a really easy solution to power creep: Don't be afraid to have different units posses the same ability. The abilities don't have to have the same names, but they can *function* the same. All the roulette-ability-gain style modes in games prove that interesting combos of old abilities can be as fun as new abilities. Sadly I don’t even think that’s the most broken thing, because it is conditional. Strong yes. His passive is broken because -damage amp (and double hit) -gives shield -conditional move speed -like all his abilities proc it
Depending on the champions kit that could actually be an acceptable passive, if it's like magic/physical damage it's essentially just a bleed. Let's be honest Vayne's passive is stronger than what you describe here.
Riot is more focused on cramming alot of mechanics into one champion, that could be put into multiple. They seem to care less about balance then they do slapping mechanics on a champ. The thing about most older champions, they can come back into the meta with item changes/scaling or base damage adjustments, but newer characters have so much that they will most likely be super strong for a long time
I think that's what they want. Having to adjust multiple different elements to make a champ good or bad cause more problems later on. Buffing or nerfing an item can inadvertently break or kill a champion. Making newer ones have multiple elements allows them to adjust individual champions rather than multiple. Like how Aatrox lost his revive and healing on non champions.
it’s not just the mechanics themselves. riot wants to make the core gameplay gimmick work so bad (qiyana and terrain, aphelios and his guns, yuumi and being attached to her ally) that they overload their kits to cater to the “champion fantasy”. they didn’t want to give qiyana a root, invisibility, an aoe stun, %health damage, bonus magic damage, a dash, etc., they just felt like without it you wouldn’t feel like an assassin harnessing the power of the elements. if aphelios’ guns didn’t change his ult and q and give passive effects, wouldn’t he kinda be jinx with more guns? if yuumi wasn’t permanently untargetable, wouldn’t she just be a bad version of soraka? the real problem is that every core mechanic is already the “champion fantasy” of a different champ. take all of akshan’s mechanics. extra damage every 3 hits? vayne. 2 attacks per auto? lucian. w cast to go invis? twitch. scoundrel trails? warwick. even the extra gold from w is in the collector’s passive. the only really unique mechanics he has are his e and the revive, which is why i don’t foresee riot removing them no matter how much the players hate it.
