What are Macronutrients and How to Calculate Macros (DIY Macro Calculator for fat loss)
We are discussing how to calculate macros for fat loss! If you are new to IIFYM and counting macros, I will show you step by step how to calculate macros for weight loss using our own little macronutrient calculator for carbs protein and fats.
Learning how to track can be confusing but don't sike yourself out: there aren't magical macros for cutting nor perfect macronutrient ratios so don't obsess over it! The best way to start counting macros for weight loss is to plan out your day ahead so you are not stressing about hitting your numbers each day! Slight mixup for the protein recommendation i put KG instead of G. It should be *1-1.4g of protein per G of LBM (so if your LBM was 96lbs, protein intake of about 96-134g per day would be great) these are just general recommendations and its not bad to have a bit more than 1.4g as well! ❤️

so not KG, its LB ? I am 107LB , about 90lbs LBM. that be 90-126g,,, right?

Welcome back. Nice to see you after 4 months. I lost almost 20 kgs and bmi is at 22 . Still if I gain minor weight my face becomes bulky. Still have little bit of double chin

With these numbers from your ex. 185g carbs 130g protein 60g fat Can I swamp my fat and carbs numbers and make it 60g carbs 130g protein 185g fat Because I prefer fats and they’re interchangeable??

You've helped me like so much! I finally figured out that I can eat what I want and still lose weight 💕 my weight loss has been really slow though I been doing like 1485 calories im 5'2 and not very active, and only do 30 mins a day of exercise, you think i should add more exercise to see more results, 1485 isnt wokring anymore, and i usually do about 1400 during the week, and 1 high calorie day, thats okay right? but yeah im not seeing anymore results

For protein you said you should have about 1g to 1.4g of protein per body weight in kg, but other people say it needs to be in lbs so which is correct because it makes a huge difference? For example, I'm 130 lbs (59kg) so I'm either eating 59g of protein or 130g so I'm not sure which unit to use to calculate my macros.

So basically try to hit the protein then kinda do your very best with fat and carbs?

yes and your total calories! as long as you hit total calories and your protein goal, its ok to switch up the carbs/fat. but keep in mind in MFP, the calories are usually like 100 over due to rounding on food labels, so that's why its more accurate to track macros instead of looking at the calories in MFP, hope that helps

Hi - I put kg instead of lbs in the video by mistake so for your situation the range would be 85-119 per day! Highly recommend going towards the higher part of the equation though :)

I have a question i'm a 17 year old girl who wants to lose 20 pounds,i manually calculate my calorie deficit which is equal to 1512,but i always way more than 1512,i eat 1524 calories and i'm starving.Should i up my calories ?
