@@juditho6008 not going too low in calories, with a well designed weight training program and making sure protein and fat were on point every day

I lost a lot of weight including muscle this past year. I wish I had focused more on working out, but I think for me, just being able to eat better and achieve that weight loss was a huge deal because I have been overweight my whole life. I am at my "goal weight," but now that I am here I still feel unhappy because my body doesn't look the way I want it to. My whole mindset was about losing weight, but the past few months I have realized that the number on the scale does not matter as much as feeling strong, healthy, and happy. I want to do a body recomp, but have no clue where to start :(

I'm no professional, but I'd say the next step would probably be to do a body recomp then. Cause you can get to your goal weight but still look..soft. But doing a recomp (in my brief research!) Would take a minute, but will give ya a more "toned" look. If that's what you're looking for. I hope this helps😬😶🤗

I would say you don’t need to be in calorie deficit at all. You only need to do a bit of cardio and eat properly at maintenance calories. Its a recomp, logically you would only need to stay at maintenance because you are not trying to gain or lose weight. Therefore to move the fat to muscle. 1.Burn fat (by cardio and eating alkaline foods) 2.use the stored burned fat that is now glycogen as fuel for your workouts and muscle gains in the gym. (This burned fat that is now glycogen will turn to muscle) That’s it! No need for deficit!

You're married by now!! Congratulations!! Seriously, I married my best friend, as amazing as it is now it will get even more amazing over time. All the love and joy to you both! I need help. I am an anomaly. I struggle to get even 1200 calories a day and shoot for a 35% protein, 35% carbs and 30% fat macros. Like, I have to force myself to eat even that much. I am very energetic, I don't feel sluggish or anything. I exercise 4-5x a week, 30 minutes of HIIT training or 30 minutes of jog/run/speedwalk with 20-30 minutes of strength training having different days for arms, legs and core. I still have 20 lbs to lose (currently 150, goal of 130 5'10") and I'm stuck. The scale hasn't moved in almost 3 months, my measurements have minorly improved but I'm not seeing it there either. Should I try a reset or something? I can't even find anyone else with this issue. Everyone talks about over eating or restrictive eating. I'm not doing that, I just can't seem to get enough calories. And I am a damn good cook, so the food is good.

Work up to eating your maintenance calories for a while, research reverse dieting to repair metabolism.

I love your videos, you have helped me so much! i feel so educated lol! i have been on whole30 for a couple months now and i workout very consistently. I'm not really seeing any results with it ( i am feeling better though) but i just finished manualing tracking my calories for starting a calorie deficit and i'm so excited!! What workouts do you recommend for losing fat during a calorie deficit? ( ya girl loves home workouts )

So I’m currently doing a body recomp only started about a month to 6 weeks now but I’ve gained weight like went up a few pounds. Even thou I’ve seen some little changes in my body I’m lost as to how I’m gaining weight and I’m not even eating that many cals like 1550-1600 cals with interest in protein. I lift 4-5 times a week with about one or two cardio sessions what am I doing wrong ? 😔

You gained muscle and lost fat. Muscle weights more than fat so even if you gain a few pounds you’re still burned that fat so don’t worry too much about your weight and maybe focus more on measurements :)

Looking trim. Noticed it immediately. I’ve resigned to believe that it’s simpler for me to think of the fat loss phase is separate from the muscle building phase. Eating low call and trying to gain/maintain muscle is brutal.

You can't tackle body fat on a specific area of the body. The body will lose fat where it's less stubborn in the first place, and that depends on what kind of body type you have. I have lost 90lbs but I still have big tights and butt because I have always had them, since I was born (mom had to scale up my clothes just because the bottom didn't fit). What you can do is to intensively work on the areas of your interest: glutes to pump them up and abs to make them compact and prevent some loose skin. If you don't workout on your abs while losing weight you'll eventually get a flabby stomach area that doesn't match with your booty and that will reveal some folds when you sit down or bend over. I'm doing exactly this and I'm noticing surprising results. Despite losing a lot of weight my belly was still very disappointing (and it wasn't my worst spot!!)... I started working out 5 days a week, 1h a day and boom! Almost flat, finally! Big booty is still there but at least now it has sooo much less cellulite!

If you recomp properly, you should lose overall body fat (decrease stomach/waist fat and other fatty areas). Focus on glute exercises to build booty, exercise glutes regularly and increase weight/resistance, eat lots of protein.

7:40 pushing yourself on the weights will burn more calories than being on the treadmill would. How so ?

Weight training continues to burn calories even after the workout, where as cardio doesn’t

in terms of weight loss, cardio is simply just a way to burn calories (just like eating less calories) there is no recommendation really, just depends on the person and their personal preference if they would rather lower calories or exercise more

@@raghad_1153 I pushed so hard in the gym. With calorie deficit for recomp I was struggling so much. I had enough proteins for my days. I probably needed to havey meal planned well. Like what time to eat and what time to workout. Body recomp is not as easy as they make it look in videos. It was impossible for me. My urine was yellow. And my kidneys were paining. There were probably a lot of proteins in my bloodstream. I ended up loosing muscles. Currently am reading Jeff Nippard's ultimate guide to body recomposition. In the mean time am lean bulking. Will do short intervals of bulking and cutting until I reach my goals. So what I would advice you is to get the book. Kindly do not attempt it by just watching these videos. There is no enough information.
