My surgery was last week (7/24/17). Fantastic team, excellent care. Dr. Politz and Dr. Boone found 2 parathyroid adenomas even though I was one of the few people with high PTH and NORMAL Calcium. Dr. Politz was brilliant enough to realize based on my symptoms (severe osteoporosis etc.) EVEN though my calcium was normal, that I most probably had at least one tumor, but I had 2 tumors! The team of doctors at Norman Parathyroid Center are the only ones you should go to to deal with hyperparathyroidism! Watching and waiting is not the answer and they will tell you this. Check out their website which is extremely informative.

I had a parathyroid surgery at NPC two weeks ago and feel wonderful! The doctors and nurses were so good to me and I never had any problems, because I took my calcium and magnesium as they told me to. Do not just wait around if your Ca and PTH levels are high; call Norman.

I am seven weeks post-op and the results of surgery at the Norman Parathyroid Center (NPC) in Tampa, Florida have been amazing. While I only learned that I had Primary Hyperparathyroidism in the fall of 2017, after researching twelve years of my blood calcium levels and previous Parathyroid Hormone levels, it was determined that I have had this disease for at least that many years. My symptoms improved/disappeared immediately following surgery and recovery has been uneventful allowing me to return to my pre-surgery very active lifestyle, schedule and activities. Please tell your friends and families about this operation that will change your quality of life and to seek out help at the Norman Parathyroid Center. The team of professionals at NPC, individually and collectively continue to be supportive and available for questions. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
