Watch how OKC , Grizzlies and Wolves or even Mavs build their roaster. They drafted wisely. And they will be good for the next five years. Looks how Bulls, Raptors, Suns, Nets, Lakers build their roaster through trades and they aren't going anywhere.

Damn. I hate the Hawks they don't have win now roster or coach. The best biggest youngest guy is Sarr. The Hawks want a win now guy who most likely a bust. If they want to win now trade Trae young for lebron james. If they want to win now go get Steph Curry. Those are win now guys. No one on the Hawks understand the meaning. Damn. We ran by stupid people.

I like Sarr as well, but the appeal with Clingan is that he is the least likely of all these prospects to bust, which I tend to agree with.

The best thing "we" can do here (outside of acquiring a ready star) is to draft Sarr. He will eventually be the same defensively as Clingin. He already has more offensive IQ. Btw, more mobile. Draft Sarr, CC is probably on the move, as is Hunter. Idk what they're going to do with Trae & DJ but I think they both come back for a year, unless DJ is traded for Ingram. We can get value back for Hunter as well. Also looking for JJ to take yet another step. I don't think anyone should trade a number 1 pick unless they're blown away. Does Lauri do that? tbh...I don't think so. Sarr will eventually cause "good" problems. "Eventually" meaning soon. #Truetoatlanta! 💯

Most likely the Atlanta Hawks will do topically dumb Atlanta things they will give up the no#1,pic for magic beans. Sometimes life's decisions are simple not some overly complicated answer.

I like both bigs, interesting comparison between the two. Both excellent defenders. Sarr seems to have higher ceiling with the athleticism, switching ability and flashes of dribbling and shooting. Clingan has the higher floor, and has the leadership, buy in from Quin, and seems to better at rebounding, passing, screening and rolling (and shortroll playmaking). All important things. I usually lean upside but as a team with good players on the roster, I get trying to win now and bringing in Clingan for a Dereck Lively type impact right away. At this point I'm OK with either The swing skill for both seems to be the shooting. If either does it, LOOK OUT!

It must be two people in the league named “Lauri”… I dnt remember this dude being a game changer. But am I to assume that he’s the only trade cuz if so, we not making it outta the second round if that. Still no defense, still no resolution to the redundancy at PG, and now we got a log jam at the 4/5.

Not necessarily. Sure, in the Hawks position they should probably take the best available. However, there are plenty of examples of teams that are in a win now mode or heavy at a certain position taking the better fit over talent with it working out.

Are the Hawks in win now mode? No. Lebron, curry, Harden, Durant, Westbrook, and Embiid are win now players and their teams. When (we) Atlanta win more than 55 games for two seasons we can be added to that list. Nah we are not the smartest basketball city especially our front office and ownership group. Rule of rules in the nba or any draft take the best player. Last fit draft pick in the NBA was Anthony Bennett and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Atlanta sounding real dumb right now.
