Girls, if you shift to cup; you will never revert back to pads. Cups feel so great. I’m even repulsive at the idea of looking at the stained napkin. We need to look at it while we use restroom, shower, cannot swim and odour. Pricing and sudden flow issues. Sleep issues , environmental issues- All will disappear once you find the right fit and that’s it. Life will be so so so easier and you will be ever grateful for trying it.
I have used almost every type of period protection, from cloth to pad to tampons and cup. Pad was the worst experience which always caused rashes, cloth was ok but too much work while washing, tampon was best until I used cup. Only problem with tampon was insertion became difficult after second day as it would absorb all the moisture from the vaginal lining. Cups are the best. I have been using it for over 3 years and it doesn't require sterilization every time you take out. but I do rinse it with hand wash liquid every time i took it out to discard the blood. If anyone worries it would damage something inside, please rest assured, such things are only your delusion. And never bother what others would think.
@@anjalijha183 it isn't painful. If it does, try folding differently before inserting. You can start with tampons to get used to insertion. Once you wear it, sit for a minute, this will help it settle in the vagina. Don't worry if you can't find the stick to pull it out, just insert a finger and you will find it. It is not easy to get used to cups. It can fail you initially but you'll get better with each use.
@@anjalijha183 Hey honey ,no its its absolutely safe to use even if you're young. However if you have never used anything beside a pad i'll recommend use a tampon first to get the idea ,get comfortable with that then switch to menstrual cup. That way it'll be a lot better and you wont feel uncomfortable as such.
I've been using a cup for a good 6 months now... Cuz of hormonal issues a period goes on for a whole month for me. It was great at first and it felt as though i wasn't even on ny period. Recently, my cup started leaking suddenly like when i stood up or when i woke up. I'm so confused on what to do cuz it was fine all these months but suddenly this has been happening. Any tips would be very helpful.
@@krithikanagendra3777 leak can happen due to overflow or poor insertion technique. If you are bleeding more than usual, switch to a larger sized cup or empty it more often. My technique is to insert it as far as I can and then sit straight for a minute or two to settle it firmly. If I avoid the sitting step, and directly sleep or stand for a long time, it leaks.
I've been using a menstrual cup since a year now. It never hurt me. Just the insertion and placing part is tricky. Once you get hold of a comfortable / easy fold for the cup it will get easier.
@@dikshaa502 No dear. Any unmarried girl can use cup. And hymen can break due to many reasons like exercising, cycling, horse riding etc. Don't worry you will still be virgin untill you have sex. Hymen has nlthing to do with it.
@@nishulk6398 I can't say anything about other brands but I've been using Silky Cup M size since the beginning, I checked right now it's currently selling for 250 on Flipkart. I bought it for 600 in 2016 🙂 If you want, I can drop down it's link below
Use menstrual cups It may be a little scary and painful but it's worth it It took me 2 cycles to get used to it At first time it was a bit painful inserting and so I gave up During the next cycle, I tried inserting it again by the 'punch down fold' instead of the 'C-fold' It was a little painful inserting but I was successful I was even successful in removing it I have decided to use then for the rest of my life And the best thing is that I am only 14 years old No need to fear You can do it🎉😊
Well hear it from the other Monalisa, "it's not" Once you start using cup there's no going back and you'll understand how much you were torturing yourself by using pads😌😌😌 "CUPS ARE THE FUTURE AND IS LITERALLY A SAVIOUR"❤️
Yes, rashes from pad and the smell is a concern. Yet after trying cup for 5 months I came back to pads due to these resons: * Ppl like me who have very painful periods find it difficult to open and spread the legs wide enough to insert the cup. * For insertion you have to stoop or sit which becomes a problem with small or unhygienic or wet toilets. Also the kind of clothes you are wearing might make it more difficult * Takes a lot of time for insertion and removal. Long queues in public toilets during a short break makes it stressful and therefore insertion and removal becomes more difficult due to muscle tightening. * Need for repeated washing of hands and the cup. Availability of clean dry toilets with well fitted taps and enough clean water supply is a must. * Keeping track of the time of insertion is a hassle esp when travelling. * You can change a pad even in a not so clean environment but for cups you need to have a plan to access soap and water for removal and reinsertion. * Need for sterilisation and great hygiene, chances of getting messy etc. * Ppl who often get diarrohea during periods find it difficukt to poop because the cup tends to move downwards during each poop
Who uses a pad for 6 to 8 hours??? I don't have periods any more, but when I did I had to change my pads about every 3 hours. If I waited 8 hours, my pants would look like a crime scene!!
Not everyone bleeds the same amount... I've a cousin.. Her periods last just for 3 days and she just uses 2 pads a day... And then there's me.. I get my periods for 10 days and i use like 3 to 4 pads a day. 🤦♀️🙄
@@achalasingh337 my younger sister is you and your cousin is me.😂😂 She's so pissed off all the time that she has to change her pass every 2-3 hours and then there's me 3-4 pads for 3-4 days. I feel bad for her and I've severe cramps and has to take medicines to numb the pain whereas she faces mild pain
I thought that removing the cup would be messy..... bt for the 1st time on the 1st day the cup was full ( i use stonesoup's mentrual cup which has 23 ml of capacity and around 21 ml was full) and not a single drop leaked out of the cup while removing.. its not watery right..?! First experience can be traumatising. I went through hell. But you know what! Even when i was going through hell, i was so ready to get a hang of it and wasn't ready to go back to using pads
I'm using cups from so long and while sterilizing I burnt it today and now I've to use a pad untill I get a new cup. It's so annoying to use it. I can not think my periods without cup. So if anyone want to give it a try please do, it's life changing. Initially it will cause a little drama but gradually and eventually you will find it comfortable and safe.
Hey @nutshellindia your work is definitely appreciable . Can you please make a video or short v. About safe brands and cleaning products of menstrual cups. Like there are too many brands of cups but some are full of harmful camicals .
I have been using cup since 4 years. Once I clean in the morning before bath and that’s it. It requires another clean not upto 8-12 hours. So, it’s more than feasible I guess. You can clean when you go to washroom. Hardly takes 2 min.
my mom doesn't allow otherwise i am eager to try it i wish someone to give me as gift even jab periods tori hu i always dream about meanstrual cup kash mere paas hota😢
I'm using menstrual cup for like 6-7 months now and it's amazing but mine leaks everytime I use it which is very annoying. I tried everything to make sure it stops leaking but it doesn't. Incase anyone knows what to do please tell... should i change my brand... I'm using sirona one...?
oh I saw something about them having little indents that circles around the top outside of the cup that help it suction and if there's any blood or anything that gets caught inside those tiny indents, then it can't suction properly, hope this helps lol :))
@@paraanika hmm, have you experimented with different sizes and different firmness levels? oh also everyone's cup fills up at different paces, so perhaps it's getting full before you can dump it, but I'm just going off the information from your comment so the only person who can know that is you lol
Girl same ! I'm using sirona small and the thing is it leaks 70 % of the time 😭😭 .its so frustrating I've thought to switch to a different brand or size but like I don't even know if it's the brand or my technique ( btw I've tried every single folds possible).
Im still in doubt..dosen't the blood flow down back into the body when we lay down or during night? And i have heard that if the waste blood filled cup is inside the body for long hours it can cause infection.. also when you empty the cup and reinsert you'll have to disinfect it every time which is very messy and not possible if you're out somewhere

I know menstrual cups are far better. But i just can't insert it inside. Even the smallest one is do big for me man! I talked to mom and we decided to continue with tampons. Btw, I've been using tampons for the last one year and honestly much much more comfortable than a pad.
To be honest, I am having the best of the experience with Menstrual cups...You don't even feel like you are on your period... And it was also mentioned on pee safe cups that if you are under 18 then buy small, Over 18 or have given birth, buy Medium ane If vaginally given birth then buy Large. I'll give some personal advice, For me, Inserting a cup using C-fold technique while sitting on a toilet seat was the best. Removing it in the same way is also the best method.
Hey girl can you help me ...i used it but i think it dont properly open after going inside and the second problem is I'm having discomfort and pain using it😢 and at the time i try to remove it , the cup suction is so strong i got scared 😢😢 hey what should i do
Its difficult to sterilise or clean when traveling. Public toilets always have basins outside so you can't take it out wash it in basin and put it in. Cons are a big challenge.
Indian public toilets have a water hose. Maybe you can use that. Many times in international hotels, there's no water but a toilet paper. You can wipe with that after emptying for that time.
Ap logo ko vedio hindi me banana chahiye....hanare india ke 70% log jo apne bola smjh hi nhi payenge aur apke vedio banane ka maksad adhoora reh jayega
I have a doubt plz girls ans: 1) is it painful to insert cup? 2) Do we have to sterilize the cup after single use?(means if the cup is full and we remove it then for 2nd use we have to clean it or just washing is enough)))) 3) DO WE HAVE TO remove it everytime we pee😮😮 4) how do i convince my indian mom to buy cup😅😅 I'm 15 yrs
1 it's not painful at all if u use it perfectly 2 no u hv to sterilize it after and before each cycle in boiling water for 10 minutes 3 no there are 2 different holes for both of it 4 just tell her u need it how her some videos if needed and talk to a doctor too
Start with wearing g a cotton pad with the cup until you feel comfortable. That's how I did it I use to vear a cotton pad as the are more comfortable after 3 cycles I was comfortable.
@@ApkiSuhkanya yea but if I need to remove and reinsert things get very messy.....I'm still learning to pull the thing out. Maybe I'm doing it wrong cuz it hurts
I never used it and i think it's painful so i decided to use only pads not that type of things. I think it's difficult for Virgins to put it inside and painful also.....
Please suggest the best cup/ cup brand for small size. I'm 16 and finding it very difficult to find out which one is the best and most trustworthy one.
I'm a virgin (18), I really wanna use a cup, but it's just that It does not go inside. I've tried so much, I've tried small sizes from many brands. I M so disheartened. I seriously don't know if I'll be able to use it ever but I really wanna experience it.
Guys. I have a question. If I'm expecting my periods on a certain date, can i sterilize it a few days before using it? How many days before periods can i sterilize it in advance? Because i deal with irregular periods. Do i have to sterilize it every few days until i get my periods??????
I have faced leaking of blood in mentural cup on 1st day of my period. I ordered small size cup for me and that was right size but still in heavy flow days you should be careful
😐i know its good but I'm scared to experience that pain 🤧 how one can insert such cups during that heavy bleeding, this is too scary God I'm never gonna try this or tampons 🥺
You should buy her a new one. This kind of stuff is like a toothbrush or underwea, you don't lend it to others as it can bring your bacteria to them. Even if they are sterilized, it can still have traces of your bacteria in it. Only you can reuse it
I'm now 15yrs old and I had been using pads all my life, I just hate pads. 😢 I really want to try menstrual cup but yk my Indian parents i don't know how to explain them😅😅. Please tell me if cup is worth????
My gynecologist suggested me to not use them as they can cause infections. Inserting anything inside can cause infection, same for tampos. She also said not to use it before marriage which i think she meant that a menstrual cup can be too big for vaginal tract of a young child who has also never had sex. And after marriage it stretches up i guess.. cause you are older and plus sexually active...
Vagina is elastic in nature.....when ur on ur periods vagina will be diluted in diameter for upto 1 - 2 cm....u can get the correct size and use before marriage....vagina will eventually return to its original state after removing the cup.....and if u do maitain hygiene it's best to use cups....and pads likely have too many cons even they cause cancers tooo....
Just watch some videos of it on RU-vid u wl get the knowledge for using it... Personallu i think the best shape of Inserting is half diamond shape... U wl get all the information on videos itself
Hey girls can you help me ...i used it but i think it dont properly open after going inside and the second problem is I'm having discomfort and pain using it😢 and at the time i try to remove it , the cup suction is so strong i got scared 😢😢 hey what should i do
I had this problem initially when i didn't know how to fold it the best way before inserting. Try pinching the mouth of the cup inside and push down, this is the best fold for me at least. If the cup gets full, also then it leaks.
1st menstrual cup also changed 6-8 hrs, 2nd hygiene and cleaning, and last Dekhne me sb easy lgta h lekin seriously bhut teddha km h, jb y stuck Jata h to khud se nikal pana omg😢
