He's right you know: while looks *are* important, confidence is vital. I've met several girls who might have had "less desirable" features or traits, but they still pulled off being attractive by how comfortable and confident with themselves they were.

Looks have a threshold. You shouldn't be hideous. But you don't need to be a supermodel either. Once you hit that threshold, being decent and above average, then your attitude and confidence is the clincher.

That's complete nonsense. No one can legitimately just "be confident", it's not an act if sincere instead of deceit, and it does nothing towards being healthy and happy. Healthy and happy come from being skinny and fit and that brings confidence. He really spread the lies in that video. Nobody is happy when someone who is incompetent, pretends to be confident. I can testify that this is extremely accurate. There’s this one girl that I knew in my teenage years who otherwise would’ve been about average to below average in terms of attractiveness, but her confidence made her downright SEXY. She came out like 2 years after I had a crush on her but we’re still really good friends to this day.

Women conflate confidence with cunty attitudes. Men are attracted to confident women but they are generally not attracted to women who want to wear the pants in the family. In every relationship, there is always someone who has more control, even if it is 51% vs 49%. Also, most women don't want to be in charge either. Women initially enjoy making the majority of the decisions in a relationship, but eventually they look at their man as pussywhiped loser that she has no respect for.

I didn't settle because a bad relationship is horrible. I never planned to get married, but it happened because I met someone who really cared about me. I would encourage women to stop focusing so much energy on guys and start working on your goals and dreams. Confidence will follow and that will help you when you fiind a man of character. On my first date with the man who eventually became my husband I told him I wanted to know what was in his heart.

Usually I don't like males and stir clear of them, I'm a guy. One day I invited this guy to lunch and talk. He's a body builder. This guy asked for some hand cream which I gave him. He proceeded to anoint his whole upper body with this stuff and I was so grossed out with this dumb ass. I finally got rid of him. He'd even take my excercise bar and stand in front of a mirror in my living room and take off his shirt and watch himself exerciser. Gross people are not good company.

Growing up, I was uninterested in the magazine's ideas of the 'perfect' woman. I am not a small woman. The problem for me was my mother. I have a hormonal condition which makes it VERY difficult to shift any extra weight. And my entire teen life, and for most of my 20's, I've had my mother in my ear telling me I needed to lose weight. That's about 10-12 yrs of someone in my ear saying, "Don't eat that. You need to get healthy." You know what? I am healthy, and my husband loves me for who I am.

The problem in my day was that men wanted a woman who had never been with a man. When they got married they wanted the woman to know all about sex! This is not possible, and they don't want to take the time and effort to to bring her to a place that she even knows what is really going on. Then the husband looks other places for the kind of pleasure he needs. (Then the wife carries the blame for him not getting what he needs) men should realize if you don't want to marry someone who has pleased everyone, she had no idea about sex. Men should take the time with their virgin wives to get them to the place they want them in sex. Don't cheat and then walk out on her. You don't know what a woman you married, you didn't give her a chance to learn. If she doesn't enjoy sex it's most likely your fault for not teaching her and taking the time to bring her to your level of enjoyment. Don't leave her to be with someone everybody has enjoyed, don't cheat yourself.

Cheating is for boys who never grew up really or girls that just had it in their blood or they got hurt and they did it as revenge in some cases . I am 40 now , i used to be married once for 9 years , i never cheated , i didn't have to , i just said "its over" , i moved on and life took its own path ...i had many opportunities to cheat if i wanted while married but i knew that first of all its a sin , secondly the pleasure would last only few moments and then the feeling of guiltiness would be torturing me for years and last but most important , if i cheated that would mean i don't respect myself and her ! Two people should be friends first of all , then become lovers if they like each other and they should share all the exploring around love , passion , sex , in order to give and receive pleasure . Some people they just missed the point .

I actually asked my first husband "isn't sex supposed to feel good for me to?"--he told me it had. That was so nice to know I had missed it. As I said--he was my FIRST. Men play a great role that is impacting way girls self esteam. I dated a guy who was making many jokes about me having little belly. I am 164 weight 52kg. I gain 2 he told me i am getting fat. He was all the time lookig at other girls. I started to loose confidence in myself. Men can contribute a lot to way girls think about themselves. Not cool.

Interesting fact, My mother, while she was the registrar for my old high school, would constantly get college banners to put on the wall. And instead of putting them all up aligned with each other, she purposely made them all crooked and face a different direction because she noted how trying to make it all go up there perfect just made it look ugly while simultaneously trying too hard. That's true but that's because men and women don't see the world in the same way. What women constantly see is a mindblowing set of the tiniest details possible each of them magnified out of proportions and each of them can trigger a feeling, emotion or a thought. So women are constantly stressed out by those details and they constantly feel the need to beautify the world around them to be able to make it bearble to watch.

I worry that people these days confuse confident with overconfident - having an attitude of 'I'm all that' is NOT sexy. I particularly worry that the role model for black women is very limited, as if 'strong' means 'aggressive' - particularly the idea that being verbally aggressive is just being 'sassy' and that's supposed to be sexy. Trust me, being aggressive is not attractive in men or women. Women deserve better role models where strength is measured not by a 'sassy attitude' but by personal integrity, kindness and wisdom.

From my own experience, whenever I display confidence it seems to make men feel uncomfortable, as if I'm trying to be superior to them. I would imagine that men innately want to feel superior over women. So I don't follow his logic here.

Speaking as a guy. If a man isn't into you because you're confident, then it's not confidence, it's cockiness. Be confident, but be humble at the same time. I've been married for almost 12 years. My wife is a very confident lady. But at the same time, she's humble. That doesn't mean I lord over her and scream, "I am husband! I rule with iron fist!" OK, I've said that, but it was in jest and my wife did eye rolling before doing what she wanted to do.

80% of males want the outgoing, comfortable in their own skin, a bit rambunctious.... basically female with some male aspects mixed in. 20% want a lady who relies on their man to lead/take charge (man wants to feel useful or because they like control) and is scared to do too much on her own. A size 14 dress Marilyn owned in 1962 fit on a modern 6-8 size dress form. In 1959 (her heaviest, guessed by some to be 140 pounds as opposed to her normal 5'5" 117-120 lbs 36-24-34 measurements) a dress she wore fit on a form with a 28.5 inch waist. So she was a bit curvy and a normal healthy weight.

I preach this whenever, someone will listen...… Ladies... go to a book store.... your local grocery store....any place where they sell magazines on those long racks.... now... stand at the women's sections.... drink in all the pictures of the women on the covers of "women's" magazines..... really loooook at them..... make note of body style, hair, make-up, clothing...… now, go the men's sections and do the same for the women on the covers of men's magazines...…. notice any differences..... women on women magazines are skinny, thin, pale...women on mens magazines are rrrrrround…. thick.... curvy.... lets ask ourselves... when youre envious of the women on your magazines...who are you trying to impress.... other women.?.... or the men in your lives?....

Not all women buy into magazine covers. If your guy wants a magazine cover, let him. After all this is the kind of guy who says, " without your happy place(vagina), you are not worth it to me. Well hate to say it boys, but aside from wanting love, I want a great sex life too, but I'd never say something like this to anyone, regardless of their sex. Love and your heart should be just as important to a man as a woman, especially if he is considering marriage. Sex is very important, there is no denying that. But there is also no denying that being attached to just one person, sex is not always gonna be there whenever and wherever you want. There has to be something deeper to hold two people together. That deeper meaning should be the glue to keep 2 people together AND TO HELP KEEP THE SEXUAL CHEMISTRY. So you can have your fake magazines, and lectures on men's needs. I do not think there is a woman on this earth that does not recognize what sex is to men. But let's face it, after the social abuse women endure, we have to hold on to some sort of faith in having a loving relationship( with great sex) because yes we want that too, not just to make our guys Happy, but to be happy ourselves and feel successful in relationships...But if any guy looked at me said, " if it were not for the good lay, you wouldn't be worth the effort", I'd say your right, because your heart isn't worth the effort to see me in such a light, and I'd walk...So why should I listen to this bullshit

I'm a women and I'm confident in my body, I'm a rare species. I believe it's because when I grew up I didn't watch those anorexic models, instead I was fan of animes, and women in animes are obviously not realistic. The only women I compared myself with was other women around me.

This is not possible, and they don't want to take the time and effort to to bring her to a place that she even knows what is really going on. Then the husband looks other places for the kind of pleasure he needs. (Then the wife carries the blame for him not getting what he needs) men should realize if you don't want to marry someone who has pleased everyone, she had no idea about sex. Men should take the time with their virgin wives to get them to the place they want them in sex. Don't cheat and then walk out on her. You don't know what a woman you married, you didn't give her a chance to learn. If she doesn't enjoy sex it's most likely your fault for not teaching her and taking the time to bring her to your level of enjoyment. Don't leave her to be with someone everybody has enjoyed, don't cheat yourself.

It's not only self inflicted. Men who are not self aware themselves (by means of education and culture), feel intitled to vocally mock women's physique..vocally, sharing their thoughts with buddies or letting the woman in question hear of it..usually on the streets, randomly, or on the social netword ... When that opinion is not sollicited and is out of place..or isn't even the point. Those opinions are often built on those surreal standards he is speaking of. Men forget what a real woman..or let's say an average woman looks like without 'the fake stuff or whatever laser/surgery/ costly beauty care.. This man is one of the last not to expect surreal stuff from women..some men do not even realise that a grown up woman have body hair and that is healthy and normal and not a crime or lack of hygiene nor an abomination...

+Nina Nowicka I'd say that makes you an exception, nothing more or less. Gungor said in the begginning of the talk, that he is only going to talk about the majority, not exceptions. He also said that he is awere that there are many exceptions, and that you should not blindely listen to what he says, but interpret everything to your needs. He brings up the stuff that is USUALLY the problem, to help as many people as he can. That doesn't mean he is not awere of the exceptions, he just treats them individually in his office, this is a talk for the more general audience. Is this so hard to get?

Unless I'm missing something, this argument doesn't make any sense. If men and women want the same thing, it's impossible for one side to have it harder or easier than the other. Both are frustrated if one is frustrated. And if men wanting casual sex is frustrating for women, then women need to stop giving it up. Hold out for what you really want.

I cant go into all the details because of the PC brigade. But here are a couple. Frugality and simplicity. My amazing wife can make tasty meals with moringa tree leaves, pumpkin and sweet potato vine tips, pennywort growing wild. She can turn carp and catfish into tasty meals thanks to her thai cooking skills. She can eat and enjoy things that even I an ex soldier trained to live off the land, cant stomach. Most of the new furnishings in our house are electrical goods only. Tables chairs, beds, cupboards, drawers, clothes, cutlery and crockery, you name it and in our house it is likely to be second hand. This has not been at my insistence, this has been my wife' s own initiative. She is often amazed at what people throw away. We have regular garage sales not of what we are getting rid of, but of stuff that my wife has collected. She has taken over our vegie garden since my work hours are long and is happy to have chickens and I have no doubt will be happy to have goats, rabbits, pigs and geese if we ever do get 10-20 acres of land. She is even open to the idea of living in a shed style house. We don't have surround sound, we only have a modest flat screen tv, and that was my purchase-she was happy with just an old size tv screen. No swimming pool, happy with a simple Bunnings flat pack kitchen that I installed myself with only a basic $680.00 stove. She stil does a surprising amount of cooking on the outdoor gas BBQ because that is what she was used to cooking on in Thailand, a stand alone gas burner. We still don't have a dishwasher even though I have encouraged her to buy one. We still don't have a clothes dryer. If we strike a few weeks of wet weather, she simply hangs the clothes in our small bathroom and turns a portable heater on to dry them. I have to stop her from mowing the lawn and to my shame, I have to admit she washes the car more often than I do. I am blessed to have her.

If she's happy like that good for you both, otherwise it sounds like you have a cook and maid and hard worker. And there is nlthing wrong with her beeing like that if she genuinly likes it that way. But most of women in Asia simply never had a chance to become anything else, it was no choice for them. If I would ask your wife what she would wish for her daughter or son in the future, would she say she would wish them such a life, or would she want them to be high educated and doctors, engineers, business people? If it's the latter than she simply had no choice to become what she is now. Every Asian people I asked here in Germany, never wanted their kids to be what they are themselfes, they always said they wanted them to have it better than them, which implicates that these people are not so happy with their lives themselfes, kt's just not in their culture to complain. By the way, I'm a western women, Diploma Engineer, because that's my nature, not to show men I'm better, I still display a lot of similar behaviour like your wife, I just cannot cook. But I could have build the kitchen for you ;-) It's not western women who are bad, it's who you choose. Different personalities are also there with westrn women, but way too often I see men complain, yet still go after the wrong type of women for them, time after time.
