What Breaking 80 Actually Looks Like 

I played a couple of weekends ago and concluded that the only way to break 80 is to play 9 holes

Yes, being a single-digit handicap is as easy as keeping it in play when you're as good a putter as Adam.

Great round Adam! I started using your approach of the game and it's crazy how you can lower your score by keeping a positive mind set through 18 holes. Being in WI at this time of the year it's tough because of conditions (wet and cold) but managed to break 90 few times by staying positive and focus through the round! Love your content mate!

dude i keep telling my golf friends the same, its actually not that difficult to break 80 if you take ego out of the equation. i play the best when i play 'boring' golf.

Just broke 80 for the first time ever. My two worst shots got very lucky and bounced back into play. Thanks for helping me thinking about the next shot and not the score.

I've been thinking about starting my own series of playing golf and recording just to see my progression. Currently an honest 24 handicap with plenty of "tidy up putts" that I just miss all too often increasing my scores through 18 on average by 10 or more. Double bogeys on par 3's and 4's and bogeys on 5's. My worst handicap is my OB drops as well. I had 3 drops in my previous 101 score and those will hurt you if you're already struggling to turn birdie putts into pars. Thanks for the take I know that my golf game could improve drastically if it were as easy as making the shots more consistently. Love the game for the constant change in environment and play factors. Bad lie, bunker shot, rough iron shots from behind trees.

I think an underrated item here is that while you don't need to roll in everything from 8 to 15 feet, you DO need to make a couple of them through your round. That's the 25-50% make range. You gotta grab a couple of those to turn an 82 into a 79.

Thanks for the vid - any tips on speed when putting? Seems like you're always giving yourself a great 1st putt or a pretty much tap in 2nd putt every time.

Not a lie told here. Club down when you need to, punch out when you have to, always go towards the center of the green. Swallow your ego. I'm only about 6 as well. Most rounds aren't pretty lol. "Golf Is Not a Game of Perfect"

As a beginner...Ive played 3 rounds of golf so far and got 2 par so far. This is how I see golf: Mistakes = over par No mistakes = Par Having 1 really good drive= potential birdie My mistakes are not knowing what club to use.. I will be going to golf sim this weekend to see my ranges... My last par was last weekend.. I outdrove my friend to the stick in the middle (150yrds out from hole) and we both hit the green with our irons, could of had a birdie if my first putt from 25+ feet when in. It was a par 4.

I play a lot of Tournament Golf and Casual Golf and I have noticed that Pace of Play has slower to a crawl. Have you ever considered a video on how to maintain pace of play, when a Golfer is a slower analytical type Golfer?

You actually putt very well Adam you’re underestimating your putting skills the only club in the bag that saves strokes. So keep it up if you can get that driver to the 270 to 290 range makes the game easier also

How is the last hole a bogey? Did thr drive stay in play? Otherwise really solid round! Your play on and close to the green is elite! I usually play +- 85 with similar drives and long irons but my issue is 3 putting or chip + 2 putts way to much

what ball tracer do you use?

The difference between your rounds and my rounds in shots...is pretty much the difference between your putts and my putts in a round! I average around 84/85 shots but usually 36 putts

Your short game is awesome and your course management is absolutely on point. Hear me out though... imagine how low you could go if you fixed your swing that is, by your own admission, god awful.

These courses up in the north east are tight keeping it in play is the hard part

For people that are actually close, eliminate all your double bogeys. Don't take unnecessary risks and play safe and it really not that hard. Practicing chipping and putting a shit ton is a big one too, get to the point where you're always chipping to 6 feet or closer and get to where you're making a 10 foot 8 out of 10 times

my golf game is consistently just a 40-45 ok to bad shots with some pretty mediocre putting. Add in an occasional lost ball and I'm right in the 76-86 range consistently and they call that a low single digit handicap...

wow 6 GIR, 10 bad shots and still a reasonable score. KEY keep the ball in play.....
