► What Did Young Victorian Women of the 19th Century Look Like?

Ever wondered what young women looked like in the 19th century? What was their hairstyle, dress, and overall appearance? As photography grew in popularity, ladies too began to flock to professional studios, to take their own photos. If you were a teenager, most certainly this would have been commissioned by parents or close family relatives. We're lucky today to be able to see thousands of photos of young women taken in the 19th century giving us a glimpse into the past lifestyles. The portraits usually came in the form of daguerreotypes, ambrotypes or tintypes and were often hand tinted. Taking advantage of our latest progress in AI technology, we were able to bring few of them back to life.
