For me I don’t really need an entire connected universe like the MCU, I just want the television shows to have good writing and stories that appeal to young and adult fans together like they did before Samurai. Not talking down to kids and giving them deep storylines while also not painfully reminding adult fans that they’re watching a show mainly aimed at children

We need a show for older people, as well as a mild name adjustment.

They need to put out not just one AAA video game, but several, spanning different genres of video games (and put each one out on as many consoles as possible, preferably with cross play between the consoles on any co-op games). An rpg where you build up your chosen ranger's skills, (especially if you can combine multiple ranger's powers like lord drakkon did) would be awesome! A multi-platform action adventure VR game would be a great addition to the power rangers universe as well! A gritty tv show or movie aimed at adults would also be a great addition to the power rangers universe. What I can see happening is this: adapting super sentai like they have been for one show, while concurrently having a 2nd show with original content. Then when they do crossover episodes they can use both their original content and adapted content. They can also tie in elements of the movies and video games into both sets of shows.

I believe that hasbro should do the first movie as an origin of Zordon and him assembling the original team the do season 1 upto the next movie being an adaptation of Green with Evil and so on, or a story that have the Zeo team attack by a mysterious figure seeking to claim the zeo crystal which the fuses with Tommy transporting him to safety in the now cleansed Luna palace but trapping him there so he has to assemble new team to fight this threat, maybe bring in former rangers as mentors for this new team.

My opinion, story is everything. So developing a continuous storyline that connects to the viewers and together in general is key. we don't need a whole season of wtf did I just watch or stuff that looks new, but in reality it's the same old stuff with a new paint job.

in 2023 is the 30th Anniversary of Power Rangers, 2023 and 2024 season 1-2 is the new Power Rangers series based on Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger and the upcoming Power Rangers 2017 movie sequel

They should do a rebooted Mighty Morphin as a rated PG 13 Netflix series. I'd love to see a more brutal version of the Rangers that really shows what their power is capable of.

They definitely need to start doing their own original content rather than converting the Super Sentai shows. Just looking at the comics, you can see what good can come out of have full freedom to make whatever story you want. The shows don't even need to be live action IMO. Look at how successful shows like Young Justice and Voltron are with only animation (although Voltron took a bit of a dip in the last season with a lot of "still images" but that can be chalked up to Netflix shoehorning the last season to end it quickly and cheaply). Shattered Grid, the Omega Rangers, Soul of the Dragon, the Ranger Slayer, the Solar Rangers, etc. All great additions to the lore that are stuck in the comics rather than diving into the Live Action shows because they NEED to use the Sentai shows as a baseline. Sure, they can refilm scenes to fit their story but that can only get you so far before you're just doing the whole thing yourself.

Aimed only at late twenties, early thirties... I'm 41 and I'd watch a Power Ranger adult show ...I was 13 when it premiered and I watched it every single day....I may have been on the older end of the fanbase but I still enjoyed it.

They need to try one entire series of 100% original footage, characters, characteristics, power types, power sources, enemies, locations, everything. Then do a movie and some extended universe based of that storyline. (Much like the star trek Kelvin-verse. Old, but with some new twists.)

@6:05 As someone who plays a wide variety of fighting games, I disagree that only hardcore players play battle for the grid. It's got over-simplified controls, and generally easy to pick-up, and cross platform online play with every modern console that supports the game. It's the first fighting game to accomplish this. Personally, I can't get into the game at all because the controls are just too simplified for me. But there's nothing "hard core" about battle for the grid. Anyone can simply pick it up and play.

An open world Power Rangers games. That's all I want.

A flashy turn based tactical Xcom styled game is perfect for power rangers, with cinematic quick time event Asura's Wrath type gameplay for the megazord phases of the battles They just adapt the episodes of the TV shows into levels and focus on the gameplay, like the game as a whole series is already written for them all they need to do is built the game itself around the stories and events we grew up watching

There needs to be three types of video games for them. 1. A ligit fighting game with many of our favorite rangers and villains (bosses and right hand flunkies) in the roster. For fun you could also have a couple of those drone characters in there like the putties or the cogs for example. 2. Perhaps a Dynasty Warriors type of game set in the past and on alien worlds. You can make it a complete original story that centers around certain villains that we may know and even make up some new ones. You can repurpose Ivan ooze as the main villain and make him Canon to the universe. Just going to make a note that he would still exist in that other movie Universe which is separate, however this would just be the regular universe version of him. Perhaps even have it be the origin of dark specters coming to existence. As for your Power Rangers you be able to use a good number of the ones that were already in space at the time and even used some other alien characters like Zordon being in his natural state before he was put into the time Warp. 3. An open-world game that is once again an original story, with an original antagonist, and Ranger team. I would say you need to try to keep the monster of the week but it would have to be limited. Having it plays similarly to Arkham Knight sounds like a great idea but you would need to improve upon it slightly and instead of a Batmobile we would be getting the Zords which would allow us to have escalated battles that would destroy some parts of the Cities. Now you could turn this into a total series but you'd have to do it right. Those are my thoughts on this.

I still can't wait to see what happens in 2022 when the new series debut. I still hope that we will learn more about their personal life when they aren't saving the world from danger.

While I’m hoping the kids show version stays due to it being the backbone of the whole franchise, I’m also hoping there’s more than just TV/movies/comic books and graphic novels, possibly some prose books/novels and a stage musical (I know, I know; Another Song and Dance episode from Zeo flashback, but I’d still like to see a stage musical).

This is a horrible idea. It's just a reboot of MMPR. We've been dealing with MMPR reboots since 2011. Remember Neo-Saban? The 90's are over, Let it go and let the show move forward instead of constantly looking back.

Personally being a fan of Power Rangers since it’s inception in America back in 92 I would be one of those diehard fans that would be more than welcome to watch more serious and higher stakes Power Rangers movies and TV shows. I am someone that did get into the comics and slightly enjoyed battle for the grid even though I hate the Judy fighter. I think this would make a great open world type video game. Especially if they made it CAC. Considering as many different Ranger teams that are out at this point you could always mix-and-match different powers, suits, swords and weapons. For a great AAA title.

Omg that game would have been awesome!!!! Im not one for buying dlc but for power rangers I would pay through the nose(as I have already). Id love to see cinematic universe but I think tv or more likely a streaming series would be best, look at what bat in the sun have done, their short clips are better than anything saban, Disney or hasbro put out. Add a proper cg budget and a series with pacific rim like zord battle would be achievable, even if it wasn't as polished as a movie, thats ok. This genre is so small I'd rather have more of it, than a really really high polished version of it. That why power rangers took off, loads of episodes, filled with fights.

From what I know, the partnership with the company that produces sentei has ended and Dino Fury is the last one that using the footage from Japan, so Hasbro wants to go off in a different direction but the fact that the statement by the people at Hasbro overlooks is that the PR universe has been a shared Universe since the first major crossover between the Galaxy Rangers and the Space Rangers, it's just that the other teams tend to let the newbies grow into being a hero! The idea of a team of Rangers traveling back to the 90s is not really something that the brand needs, all they need is good actors and a good script to make things work, unless the team is traveling through time to try and stop the bad guys!

i think the open world game covering the history of the PR universe sounds frickin amazing. I also liked the 2017 live action movie well enough (even if the mastodon zord was... not) the rest was really cool. i cant even trip about switching up the races of blue and black rangers (somehow an issue for some people??)... black Billy is frickin awesome and hilarious and holds the team together.

As a massive fan, I'm writting a massive amount of fanfiction novels that work as a reboot since MMPR. It mixes the Power Rangers lore, biblical references, Arthurian Mythology and something I'm impressed nobody ever adds to the franchise: Cosmic horror on the level of Lovecraftian lore. The Rangers fight aliens everyday. Some things from deep space should be horrifying.

I think anoother area Hasbro should consider for power rangers is animation, Castlevania, League of Legends and Invincible have been a huge hit and I think if they found the right style and animation team to work with it could be something special.

Something that really captures the feel of the shows premise of the Rangers needing each other at full strength to overcome the latest monster sent down by Rita, Zedd, the Machine Empire, Divatox and Astronama. and also some stuff from the boom comics mixed in would be welcomed to like the Omega Rangers showing up instead of Jason, Trini and Zack just disappearing to go do some peace corp.

what you said 6th ranger, you sum it up perfectly. Having a split Power Ranger adult version (dark) and kids power ranger would be great. Making the power ranger go back in time like time-traveling would amazing, the tv series can link up to the movies (vice versa) just like what Marvel has done worked well even doing a multiverse as well. Hasbro needs to revamp the original story, with the high computer tech and CGI technology they can make the suits look awesome, graphically dark, with amazing skills, and transformations. Bringing adult powers rangers, kids power rangers, animated power rangers, and video will be a game changer. With the announcement of Power Rangers open world like Batman Arkham origins would be so cool, we need that it will be a dream come true, there is so much potential with Power Rangers if they do it right. From when we were 6 years we thought power rangers were cool no were in our late 20s and 30s it be great to see it back but better and this will attract the young generation of today.

We need and Infinity Endgame style Power Rangers with Draken as the Endgame Boss with all the Rangers from the multiverse to take him and his Army down.
