Great Job 👏 This Film is a great example of the ‘Ownerships’ & ‘Artists’ discussion. Funny enough Kubrick had his own troubles with Malcom 😂… must have been inherent in the material. 👊

Thanks so much! It is a great example of Ownerships’ & ‘Artists discussions and something I'd love to get into more. I would bet that quite a far authors / directors distance themselves from their works as they get more and more famous or have conflicting feelings about them. It was 100% true for the Warriors at least!

@@exitsexamined lol … if you just roll through Kubrick’s filmography you’ll have all the material you’ll need - everything from Strangelove to Artificial Intelligence- all adapted from books.

I would have liked a remake with Even Peters as Alex. Yes I would make a whole movie just because a ‘new’ actor looks like an actor from the past.

In his preface to A Clockwork Orange, he expresses less than generous sentiments towards the book and its public reception.

As well as how he hated that the final chapter had been left out in the U.S version among other things. It's interesting that version of the preface only came out after the movie!

@@exitsexamined When you create a work you have little control over how people interpret or engage with it. The preface he added was an attempt to reign in his creation.
