The explorers have as much room for the officer as the Vic. The only reason we have the fords is more room for equipment. The Tahoe covers both. Plus they have a v8 and sound good

Chargers are fast. But that’s the only thing that makes them a viable police car in my opinion lol. They’re small and cramped inside with all the equipment and they break a lot. Tahoe is the way to go. I’m glad you’re seeing more of them

I also think that a discord server would be decently successful because you could do like a q&a section or 1 on 1 vc with your subscribers. Up to you thought, I say it because you asked for ideas :) (if you are not familiar with discord I would be more than happy to help you set one up.) Also noticed you were Christian. Glad to see another Jesus follower out there!

You’ll likely need to get on with a medium to large department. K9s cost approximately $15,000 per dog up front for the department, plus the cost of training for the officer. For departments with multiple K9 officers, there are on-call rotation schedules. If you don’t like being woken up at 2am on an off day then K9 is not for you! Lol. There will often be tactical training with various SWAT teams in the area, even if you aren’t a tactical officer. The reason is that K9s generally work closely with SWAT in order to track suspects, do building entries/clearing, etc. I’m not sure what your family situation is, but if you have children or other pets, then being a K9 handler is something to really think about before you do it. It’s a commitment that the entire family needs to be on board with, and your particular dog may not get along with other animals or children (I have yet to meet a dog that doesn’t tolerate kids however). You’ll need a place for your dog to be when he or she isn’t working. A friend of mine dedicated his garage to his dog and essentially gave Kiko his own room! Some dogs will act like a pet at home, but they’re still working dogs. They need to be somewhat kept in that mindset. Generally a K9 will be retired from service at around age 6-9. When that happens, the handler is usually allowed to “purchase” their dog from the city (for a very very reasonable price). Then they can spend their golden years with their best friend. I will see if the K9 handler on my shift will do a video with me. It would be helpful if you could make a list of some specific questions that I could ask her. You can leave them in a comment if you’d like.

@sweetdoll6641 if you’re planning on this being your career, then I would advise you not to go to college. It’s not needed and would be a lot of money saved. But if you want to go to college, I’d say look into psychology or social work. Or even counseling (not sure what degree that would be) would be a good option. Learning to talk to people and understanding them will serve you well
