@@heyisa7med Just FYI the Soreseals really fall off around RL60 or so. At that point you're taking more damage with it than without it and it's not buffing your levels enough to make up for it unless you really, really need those stats for your build.
@@PunkZombie1300 Didn't figure this out til after I beat the game and started helping people fight Radagon. The pros do not outweigh the amount of damage you take. Especially with how strong the late game enemies are. My first playthrough was unnecessarily difficult because of the Soreseal.
@@sidzsotight Yeah it's a great tool early game but unlike the Prisoner's Chain in DS3 it's not useful at any level. PC gave you 15 extra levels, 5 Vig, 5 End, and 5 Vit, (though granted Vit and End are both covered by End in ER, so comparison-wise the Soreseal would be around 25 levels in DS3) for only a 4% reduction in Absorption. -If you need a few extra stats the Scarseal version wouldn't be a bad idea, 12 levels for a 5% Absorption debuff isn't too bad.- Edit: The Scarseals have a 10% reduction to Absorption, not a 5%. So they're really not worth it outside of early game as well.
It makes total sense that I, a person who beat Malenia with Rivers of Blood, would also *immediately* go for her prosthetic sword, lmao. I mean, the fact it's so fucking long and powerful, but also the drip. Goes well with literally any gold armor set.
@@mrsgamer9218 Someone on reddit did the math and concluded her weapon weighs 75kg and is 2.7m long. Malenia's slashes are each equivalent to getting shot by a tank, she can do them dozens of times per second, and she's tens of thousands of times stronger than an average man.

i also went through the trouble of beating these two at the same time so they couldn't revive each other only to find the game spawns them anyway, game just gives you the middle finger
@@bolson42 it is possible, i have beaten them couple days ago on version 1.4.1 and the both died aswell as the main health bar, i used mimic and blade of malenia full upgrades , aswell with some dex and damage talismans and it was as easy as this video but they didnt got to respawn, i think is matter of the damage you get to do with extra bleedings and stuff before they die, you know when an enemy is about to die, you can still manage to inflict bleeding at the last moment, and if you do that with this boss you ll kill a monk and the bleeding inflicted upon his death will affect the main healthbar.
@@felipegiraldo8100 I thought damage to the main health bar was restricted to the max health of each npc, but that would make sense if true. Or it was just a glitch like the other person mentioned
With 80 dex, Flame Grant me Strength, Commander's Standard, an Exalted Flesh, and the Blue Dancer Charm with no armor or other weapons equipped, the Hand of Malenia will have 1k AR
Flame Grant Me and Exalted do NOT stack just btw. Bloodboil + Rallying Standard + White Mask Seppuku + Mushroom Crown poison is the most physical damage you can deal, not including talismans
impressive. u should try level 50 arcane with +10 dragon seal, lighting spear and black flame both do over 1k damage each cast. the dragon incantations also do a ton of damage
@@No_Skill42 off the top of my head, flamberge and forked greatsword for inherent bleed. but you could also just make the lions claw ash of war have the blood affinity for bleed on any of them
@@heyisa7med the ash of war is cool and all but it leaves you open for attacks. And other katanas like moonveil or rivers of blood for example are just safer options. But you shouldn't change your weapon because of that. Stick to what you feel like is right. Don't take my advice because you should just play how you want and not how others tell you. So enjoy your weapon and have fun m8

It's good to know that the Godskin Duo is similar to the Four Kings in DS1, as they continue to take damage as they die. I can't even beat the Godskin Apostle at the top of the creepy windmill village.
Sleep pots (Trina's lily + cracked pot) work great on them, one pot brings both types to sleep. Just be careful as the Apostles have a habit of dodging your pot those
@@KeiyarlaDraga Godskin noble is more of the same. For more general gameplay buffs I'd reccomend a bleed weapon (like Rivers of Blood in Mountaintops of the Giants) and a good spirit summon like Black Knife Tiche (found in the end area of Ranni's questline)
@@Treen1205 if youre running a bleed build with rivers of blood, mimic tear is so much stronger than any other summon. With most builds its stronger actually, but especially so with a bleed build. Both of you spam corpse piler and you get enough bleed proc to pbliterate just about anything
@@kellanaldous7092 mimic tear is exceptionally good at dishing out high damage, especially with RoB build. However I found that Tiche works better if you need agro taken off of you more consistantly. Since she jumps and dodges so much while still being aggressive as shit, there were a few times in my NG+ playthroughs where she managed to outlast mimic tear even with near full Bull Goat Armor set, simply because they couldn't hit her. The 1p% max HP debuff can be incredibly helpful too on any enemy that heals or has bleed immunity/high resistance.
What some people don't realize is it's not always about the damage dealt. It's just about the style and having fun with whatever weapon of your choice. When you've gone through the game a couple or few times, some people (like myself) just want to use certain weapons, regardless of their strength compared to others.
Agreed. I’d rather use a weapon I enjoy than use a weapon I hate or dislike just for the sake of a few extra dmg points. Same goes for armour sets tbh.. the beefiest armour in the game usually looks horrendous so I won’t wear it, I’d rather wear Blaidd’s or Maliketh’s and look cooler.
You can do very good damage with this with the right talismans and physick tho. Obviously it won't outdamage a copypasted cookiecutter bleed build with CS, twinblades or RoB but its way cooler
Pretty sick build. One thing your missing is mohg great rune it matches perfectly with your mimic as any bloodloss in the vicinity grant's you extra attack power.
@@heyisa7med would be sweatier than the rivers of blood or moonveil, does it do bleed damage as well? Haven’t actually used it yet apart from against the end game bosses when I was trying out the weapon art
This was basiclly my first run of the game I didn’t understand half the stats so I rofl stomped almost all of the end game with this super cool weapon I found called rivers of blood at 75 dex…

I remember when I 1st saw this and busted my ASS to get this sword. My 1st time I beat malenia I was so ready to spam that move. Took me 20x to get her. Then I use the move and realized I don't get hyper armor like she does. I was so fucking mad. The maliketh Incantation you get from him gives you hyper armor, but hers doesn't??? I swear it pissed me tf off
I feel the problem with having hyper armor is because it would be spammed in pvp and nobody could break you out of the attack. It would just become the new meta lol. It’s already impossible to dodge almost.

It's weird, But I have never lost a fight to this boss. Granted, I only won two, but it's weird that I went 2-0 against a boss so many people struggled with. Took 61 tries to solo Melania though.
i fought against them before and it wasn't hard so when i saw this boss again i thought it was a miniboss so i used it to record this video and try out the HoM :)
I had 42 dex and 52 int and rannis moon blade and it absolutely destroyed them and most bosses, I’m glad I’m not missing out not having a 99 stat yet cuz I was doing way more damage than that per hit with the weapon skill which you can basically spam if you can dodge real good

also my favorite weapon, did a whole malenia run for one of my playthroughs, dual wielding them just shreds bosses. rivers of blood is just boring, this is a fun weapon.

Me neither, the lack of a grip just kills it for me, probably the second most important part design wise that a sword should have and the hand of malenia lacks any kind of grip.
Loved using hand of Melania and waterfowl dance for pve. But waterfowl dance is actual trash in pvp. People can literally walk away from you and not get hit. And it's not got as a punish option either because of the startup on it
That punishment was very real on the receiving end first few times I fought Melania. All I know now is that I try to use it the way that she did when she whooped my ass and it’s been working. It can wreck havoc with proper timing🤘
Bro, do you not know the Firelink Greatsword from DS3? You literally get it from the final boss. It's probably the worst greatsword in the game. From is known for their lackluster endgame weapons. You get used to it with time.
@@EwiwasSmile I see so many people say "You get used to it" and that is so pathetic. You shouldn't have to "get used" to shitty mechanics from a developer just because their games are MOSTLY good. I was doing the divine towers and realized the physics are exactly the same as they were in DS1. Even with a jump button, platforming still sucks, because nothing changed in the engine. You can still hit a jump perfectly and still slide to your death because of the physics.
After spending 157 hrs in the lands between my interest in other games has fallen off hard. I haven't played much for 3 weeks since getting the Elden Ring Plat on ps5.
I find it’s quicker to take out enemies with RoB with Flame grant me Strength and Golden Vow Incantations. The waterfowl is good but that startup takes way too long and you can get stunned easily if you get hit. I took out the Godskin Duo in a much quicker time than this. Just an opinion!
Good job but rivers of blood + 10 with 70 or 80 arcane and like 40 or 50 dex much faster killing weapon yeah I know it's boring but it's still faster 🤷♂️👍
Funny enough, you can make your own Rivers of Blood! All you need is Double Strike, Blood Flame, and a Nagakiba. That said, a properly built Malenia character can do ridiculous levels of damage while maintaining absurd levels of sustain. The tradeoff of course is having that hideous Blasphemous Blade on your back as a "fashion accessory". The talismans for the Malenia build are not fun to get though, unless you are on PC and call upon 'Let Me Solo Her'. Rotten Wing Talisman (Successive hits ramp damage), Shard of Alexander (weapon skills do more damage), Taker's Cameo (kills restore HP), and the Godskin Swaddling Cloth (Successive hits restore HP). Grab the Blasphemous Blade (we don't want to use it; we just want the passive it gives for being equipped) and Malenia's Greatrune (Recovers recent damage by attacking). The end result turns The Hand of Malenia into a life stealing engine of destruction with the moderate investment of 80 dex and whatever other stats you need to feel comfortable. Happy Hunting!
Wait wait I just finished the Godskin fight now I gotta fight another Godskin but it’s a duo??? Ohhh that’s annoying it’s just the Godskin boss punishes my play style like crazyyy I had to get bloodhound step to beat him since I’m a melee build he kept on catching me with that stupid Rapier shit does hella damage u can’t get hit or it’s a flask everytime for me 😂
Looks like ng or ng+. Sadly, it just doesn’t get enough damage or blood proc off for me at later playthroughs. It’s a sick WA but it just pails in comparison to my expectations.
People's expectations shouldn't be so unrealistically high. Weapon arts and spells shouldn't carry you. They never did in previous souls game, at least at a certain point in the game.
Its because it wasnt, its a waste to put 99 points in a single stat like that, damage would have been much higher if they had put dex at 60 and the other 39 points into strength or arcane atleast to up bleed intensity, this build is honestly unrealistic in a souls players outlook, having 99 in a single stat is a waste of potential if all your other stats are piss poor
I'm glad you showed this on a boss that isn't the first and arguably weakest in terms of the main bosses. people who're like omg this is the best weapon ever and show it roll margit are a bit dumb imo
@@PointlesslyNecessaryConvos pretty much everybody I meet in pvp with katanas don’t even bother using any attack other than ashes of war. Even rivers of blood and moonveil are only good because of their ashes of war.
@@shmekelfreckles8157 dual katanas are insanely good for stunlocking. Plus the nabakiba (everyone talks about this one I know) has insane range and a R2 poke that comes out about the speed of a colossal greatsword rolling R1.
@@thegk-verse4216 that's only because the tunnel-vision bads in PvP face tank those weapon arts, get killed, and cry for nerfs without even bothering to try and counter them. You can Parry RoB spam all day long and poop all over people. You can use the same shield, slap Carian Retaliation on it, and poop all over Moonveil users all day long. And if Carian doesn't work for whatever reason.. Erdtree Greatshield. Alternatively to any of that.. there are so many ranged options available to counter both that it's honestly kind of unfair to melee. You should look up how devastating Glintstone Pebble is in PvP. Great damage, INSANE stagger, spammable, and costs like.. what, 7? FP per cast. But, again, everyone wants their unga bunga, sub-40-Vigor glass cannon builds to be effective when they can't even effectively dodge roll. It's so comical it's sad.
@@thegk-verse4216 u mean other than bloodhound/dual nagis/dual scavs/fingerprint/literally any thrusting weapons with RKR+claw and spear talismans/etc.. both r amazing weapons dont get me wrong but rob is not #1 in any category or overall. moonveil isnt even top 5.
Godskin Duo were the only boss that I didn't fight. All I did to get past them was summon Bernahl and Mimic Tear and then stand on one of the broken columns and just hurl boulders and bloodflame at them while Mimic and Bernahl were tanking them.
I started using that build but honestly it's too op if you optimize it - cheesed through every main game boss in NG++ and was still op on bosses that dont even bleed. Literally 10x easier than magic spamming in my experience. Dual seppuku w/ twinblades is similar but cooler aesthetic-wise
Dual Godskin peelers with Seppuku maxed out is the highest bleed buildup you can do because unlike curved swords twin blades hit a total of six times per jump attack proccing bleed every jump. did this for my first playthrough however lions claw with golems halberd (colossal weapons) is extremely fun imo.
@@ettch3258 although the spinning makes it look like 6 attacks I believe it is still 4 like curved swords but I could be wrong. First thing that came up when I looked it up was 4 hits per jump attack
I was able to kill this boss (bosses) with Malikeths Black Blade +10 with Black Blade Incantation with 80 faith + Erdtree Seal +10 with Mimic Tear Summon +10 even more easier in NG+1. Until I got into NG+4... Now it is way more harder then before, so maybe I consider using your method.
my first playthrough was duel wield katana but after beating the game in strength build with 60 vigor 60 endurance and 85 strength, i realize strength build is satisfying than being a glass canon
Dude what are your talismans? I hit like 8k with the full waterfowl dance and im 70 dex, i feel like u will achieve a lot of higher numbers with the right ones
