The scene where Susan's wet ghost walks through the house the same time her drowned body gets pulled out of the water is well done. If only the movie had more moments like that.

I enjoyed this sequel! It was cheesy and fun, much better than the rest of the Amityville films. P.S: Amityville II: The Possession is underrated!!!

The one with the clock and the lamp were also good... cant believe i just describes 2 movies with 2 random objects... but im pretty sure you know what im talking about.... and yes part 2 is underrated, regarding the F up scene, the brother was possessed but what was the "excuse" for the sister!?

I had the luck to personally own this on VHS! I remember buying it for $ CHEAP $ either from Walmart or K-Mart? Remember when Kmart or Walmart would have a stand that would have really cheaply priced VHS TAPES? They all were mainly recorded and sold under “THE EP MODE” (In EP mode, the VHS tape moves at a slower speed of 11.12 mm per second. This slower speed allows the tape to store more video information, extending the recording time. However, the trade-off is a lower video resolution and less vibrant colors.). I remember watching it a lot as a kid, loved horror movies and my mom would buy me a VHS tape for cheap! I really would have loved watching this at the Theater in 3S!

I love these 3D horror retrospectives lately! Im a 3D enthusiast nut, and anyone who still has a 3D enabled setup, you can import the 3D bluray of this from Italy. Trigger warning: the cheese factor is *extremely* high! 😂

I did enjoy part 2 and Amityville 3D has to be hands down the most hilarious movie ever!! That part where the alien dinosaur comes out if the well and drags that scientist had me lmfao!!!!!! Candy Clark's death scene is definitely the best kill of the movie and possibly most fucked up, the ghosts of Amityville don't like snitches .. I also laughed my ass off that ron burgandy pearlmen kept being a skeptic all to the end til everything started blowing up!! Lol

They can "legally" claim "Amityville 3-D" isn't a sequel all they want... but the demon that jumps up and grabs Robert Joy in the well is the same demon that rips its way out of Sonny at the end of "Amityville II." So they are in continuity with each other, lawyers be damned. Man, y'all haters can eat it. "Amityville 3-D" is great. It may not be "scary," but it is atmospheric from fade in to fade out (largely thanks to Howard Blake's wonderfully creepy score).

Fun cheesey underrated sequel....I loved how this film also ripped off elements from The Omen (the photographs) & Damien Omen II (the elevator) and put them in this movie. Lol.

Me and my brother Brad rented this movie (along with “A Clockwork Orange”, “Child’s Play 2”, “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” and the 1993 alien-abduction TV-movie “Official Denial”, which originally aired on the Sci-Fi Channel and starred Parker Stevenson and Erin Gray) from Video Connection (in Fremont, Ohio) on the weekend of June 6-8, 1997; we weren’t very much impressed!

Do you remember if the 3-D glasses provided were Amityville themed like how Friday 3-D and Jaws 3-D had special 3-D glasses with the logo? There's a large fanbase looking for it.

@@KeroCrane man I honestly can’t remember. I also saw Jaws 3-D in the theater but don’t remember getting themed glasses. I was also 8 years old so if I got a pair I probably lost them within a week. 👓

@@ministerofdarkness There's images of Jaws 3-D and Friday 3-D everywhere on Google. Amityville 3-D is the only horror sequel trilogy 3-D film whose glasses aren't accounted for. Most people say there was, others say they were just plain white ones. We're also trying to find the extra 15 minutes of footage that aired on HBO not seen in theaters in 1986, including the "Making of" documentary

I think what hurt Amityville 3-D was that it was rushed through production too quickly after Amityville II: The Possession, and I believe the reason it was rushed was because right after they finished filming at the Tom's River, New Jersey house where the first two movies had been filmed, the owners of the house had it turned and moved on the property to make room for a second house to be built on the property. 3-D is actually my second favorite of the movies with the original 1979 movie being first. Amityville II just seemed too dark at times for me with the brother raping the sister and other stuff going on in the house. I also look at Amityville II as a sequel rather than a prequel since the number of people killed differs from the murders at the start of the 1979 movie and because everybody got shot in Amityville II while getting chased around the house and not in bed like the DeFeo murders.

They were wrong because a house with paranormal events IS what most people think of when they hear Amityville. William Wales is what Prince William was called in places where he needed a surname (school, the military) since his father was the Prince of Wales (and now he is).

Incest stories were all over in the early 80's, thanks to a book called "Flowers in the Attic." You know those books where there's a hole in the front cover showing, like, a face or whatever, and then you open the inner flap to reveal a more sexy/disturbing scene? FitA started that, too. It got super-duper popular, although, I've read it and I still don't get why. I guess it was just taboo enough to get people all randy, but not too out there that they'd shy away.

I have soft spot for the Amityville II...despite the odd incest storyline. Naturally, I went to see 3D (just a dumb naïve teen). Such a strange movie. Odd casting. A low-rent, cross between Poltergeist and Omen.

18%!! WTF??? It is a bad movie, but it's not THAT bad. It does have some redeeming qualities, & is entertaining. Yeah, that ending is insane, & in the next installment, Amityville 4: the evil escapes, they completely ignore that ending. I like the movie though. I like that it's a bit campy & goofy, to offset the seriousness & dark nature, of the previous 2.

There's a good idea or two hidden in this movie. I liked the Final Destination type plotline where people who come to the house die a brutal death later on in strange "accidents". And I thought the part of the delusional mom refusing to accept her daughter died was well done. She was so heartbroken and terrified to admit it that her grief just wouldn't come out. I can't say this movie is great or anything but at least it's not a haunted lamp or dollhouse. This poor franchise. Good God almighty. There are dozens upon dozens of absolute GARBAGE movies. The newer one with Diane Franklin wasn't TOO bad though.
