its hard to provide solid physical evidence on these because they are covered up better than regular criminal cases..it maybe years before something definitive comes out....

No, have you? Never judge a book by it's cover. He had a track record of violence. He has also confessed to the crime while in prison. There are more than one witness who saw someone resembling him hanging around and then running away from the address with a red tie and long black coat which he was wearing. Moreover, he made the false alibi with the nearby taxi firm, plus the residue from the gunpowder which matched the substance found on Jill Dando. If it were a 'hit' would someone really choose this time and location to do it? The chance of being spotted was pretty high? Besides, how would they even know she would be there? Would a hitman use a bodged converted, replica pistol? He was lucky that there is not 100% conclusive evidence to confirm this, but beyond reasonable doubt? Not in my opinion. The appeal court realized this and refused him compensation as he is probably the one who did it.. @@willowtree9291
