Jokic can't stop Shaq, Shaq can't contain Jokic. Plain and simple. For those asking what do I mean, let me demystify it for you. Edit: Shaq can't be stopped going to his spots with is usually 5 to 8 feet around the rim and letting him bully his way around you, and as for Jokic can't be contained with him making plays for himself or letting others get a good shot.

Joker is a generational talent as a center. Hes already top 10 all time in triple doubles, 2x league mvp. Hes got a longs way to go though, hopefully he brings a chip to put him on the list of alltime great centers

Kobe would've been the consultant/talent scout the Lakers needed, but never got. He was too busy coaching in the Mamba Academy, developing his fictional series, and doing Dad stuff, so he wasn't looking forward to any full-time job involving the NBA. But before he had the chance to consider whether coming back to the NBA was for him, he died. But he did leave a lot of golden nuggets about the game and about life in general, which is why people can't help but rewatch his videos over and over again.

The Nuggets are smart in keeping The Joker over Nurkic when they made that Portland trade. But dang it would have been amazing to see Joker and Dame on the same team. The NBA needs to give Jokic his third MVP trophy already.

Prime Shaq vs prime Jokic would be something special to watch for sure. I think Jokic is the closest to Hakeem in terms of amazing footwork and shooting touch but of course Jokic is a much much better 3 point shooter than the Dream.. but the Dream is a much better defender than Jokic.

Dude I watched the interview and Joker was joking about Shaq not being able to guard him , just as he was when he laughingly said he was more athletic than LeBron.

I see Jokic as a Larry Bird, Kevin Mchale hybrid with Robert Parish's height. He passes and shoots like Larry and has Kevin's crafty post moves 💯 Didnt really appreciate him in his initial breakout years but deym this guy's a real legendary beast.. Not sure he's going to win in denver, but who knows maybe he can do a Giannis and win in a small market team.. I kinda hope he moves to a big market team in California hehe Lastly, Shaq knows better not to diss Jokic, he might not win the number of chips Shaq has but he rn he has more MVPs already and is on course to win a 3rd straight MVP. If Jokic wins at least 3 rings, i wud consider him higher than Shaq in the pantheon of NBA greats..

For clarification, there is a version of Shaq that COULD have guarded Jokic (not completely shutting him down but speaking formidable defense). However, that version of Shaq is not the same one who holds the title for most dominant player and won 3 straight chips. In a universe where Shaq maintained a lean weight closer to his early years in Orlando is the version of Shaq that could’ve guarded Jokic

Jokic has some truth. In my mind there’s only two bigs in history who actually gave Shaq problems: Tim Duncan and Hakeem. And what did they have in common? They both has the skill to face up and make Shaq guard their huge array of moves and shots, which Jokic has as well. I’m not saying Jokic would dominate a prime Shaq, bc there isn’t a man alive or dead who could have done that, but he could definitely give Shaq some headaches

When I first saw Jokic, I admit I wasn’t a fan of him. But I can respect the fact he can take constructive criticism from Shaq and other NBA Legends to improve his game. Unlike Embiid who got super butthurt when Hakeem suggested to cut down the amount of 3s he took. That difference between the 2 is why Jokic won MVP over Embiid the past 2 seasons.

Shaq=strong player, Jokic=skilled player. if they were to guard each other on their prime they struggle against each other for sure, but I give slight edge for Jokic since he's a stretch BIG and he can shoot 3.

Before Jokic's first MVP, Shaq said that Jokic is the new Rick Smiths. Of course with the intention of underestimating him. When Jokic stated that for him Shaq was the best center, Shaq began to respect Jokic and compare him to Duncan.

Yeah, he can't physically body him up and that's nothing against Joker; Shaq is just a monster. That said, Jokic should take Shaq off the dribble and to the 3 point line and he can take many outside shots. Build a team around them and Joker's passing would likely widen the gap
