Yes, indeed. I miss him. I was blessed to grow up having Soul Train in my life EVERY SATURDAY afternoon. Mama could count on us having ALL our chores done in time to see it. 4 p.m. Eastern Time! You could set your clocks in the whole neighborhood to know when it was time for Soul Train. I have an eternal soft spot in my heart for the gifts, and the unforgettable history of the life and the incredible depth of the soul of Mr. Don Cornelius. 🎉

Teddy was a gangster from North Philly it’s well known. Listen to his answer carefully, when Don suggested that he had a background in gospel music because he had that kind of flavor, meaning soul in his music? Main Man barely went to church if he went at all. When they seen him in church they had him sing one of his songs and then asked him to sing with the choir but he probably just hummed along because he ain’t no any gospel songs if you let the OOOOG’s tell it.
