How about opening a new save file, getting to the IOA legitimately and then transfering the save file to another switch that has only the game without the DLC? Is it piracy? It doesnt require any hacks, its a ligitimate use of the provided software, isnt it? Will it even work?

This is Interesting cause By buying the dlc you are not buying the isle of armor, you are buying ACCESS to the isle of armor Downloadable content where you don't download the content

You don't need a hacked Switch. 1. Transfer your gamesave to a Switch with the DLC. 2. Save your game while ON the Isle of Armor. 3. Transfer your gamesave back to your Switch. 4. Enjoy free DLC until you leave the Isle because the only "lock" is the flag in the code which decides whether you bought the DLC or not, and you can't ride the train to Armor Station OR use the Corviknight Taxi to fly to the Isle while this flag is off. Everything else was in the free update because it is easier to ensure compatibility with the DLC that way when your a shoddy developer with horrible organisational skills.

Ok so if you get the dlc on one account it is shared to all the account on the switch with the account that has the dlc

YOU DONT NEED A HACKED SWITCH FOR THIS! if you have 2 switches, you can purchase the DLC with 1 account(let call him mario), and then play the IOA with luigi. then make that switch as your secondary switch. because luigi isnt the owner of the DLC, it wil have the armor pass, and will be in the isle because you play it when the switch was the primary switch. however, if you leave the IOA, you cannot go back there in taxi or with the train. the same dialog("something wrong with the pass") is shown, even that the armor pass is the real thing. if you ask me, there is another software on the switch and when you want to fly to the IOA, the game check if this software is playable. if you are on the isle, you will not be kicked out because the check is done just when flying/get on taxi. it's a poor design that the IOA is on the update of SWSH, and the check for it is in another software.

Wouldnt the reason be the game data isnt in the game till you buy it? Like the data for the isle of armor just didnt exist because when you buy it you have to update your game to get it Edit: nvm sorry please dont get mad at me Haha

For me, I have 2 switches and when I cycle from one console to the other, it sometimes locks me out of isle of armor. I then have to reinstall the dlc on my primary.

my brother has his own switch lite, and when he transfered his data (we have the expansion on our main switch) he was not able to get to the isle of armor/crown tundra

A hacked switch just need to download the dlc nsp , is no big deal , no need to warp or hack the item. The thing is that people reported that armor pass tickets were being distribuited trough hacked raids

And its not the reason you're saying, theres a a flag in your game that is checked in your save file when you purchase the dlc, that item is 100% the same item, its just without that flag ticked in your save file it won't work

You can also use dlc install on a modded switch

So i own a legit digital copy of shield and dlc and a switch v2, and im getting a switch v1 to mod. This is actually quite appealing to those who already paid for the dlc too

DLC is tied to the main switch, to get same effect just transfer your save file to another switch. You can't fly or go in isle of armor. the ticket is there but you will have a problem entering

Man I spent $60 just for the passes now I would never do that hack pass thing because I would never want to get in trouble from the government or something but it makes things so much easier but sometimes hacking can be a good thing it depends what your using it for ☺️

Just gonna point this out. If you have the DLC, and have not gotten to the part where you have legally obtained the max mushrooms, or honey, if you got the 999 items, they will not work. But once you get passed that part of the story in the DLC, like you found the mushrooms in the cave, and did that honeycomb part of the story, your items will work afterwards. Also, the reason the pass does not work, probably isn't much related to the hacked pass being different from the real one. When you buy the DLC, you have to download it. That download is what you ACTUALLY NEED to access the DLC, unless like blaines said, you have a hacked switch and can hack yourself in the dlc isle.I knew before I even saw anything online that hacking the pass wouldn't work. Hacked raids hosts been wasting a slot adding those in their raids lol

If you have a shared switch and one person owns the DLC you can still get it because it's installed on the switch. If you transfer your saved data you get the same message that there seems to be a problem.

You dont need to hack, you can transfer the save file to a switch without the DLC and get the same result

Emergency 🚨 I payed for the pass right and it works but I reset my switch to save all save data but delete everything else and when I when back in the game it did not work and said I needed to buy the pass so I went to the pass and it did not give me an option to download it and said it was owned I’m worried I might have to reset my whole game delete all save data bad
