Had depression and intrusive thoughts in the past few days but it doesn't last longer, thought I share this information with you guys if you are in the struggling phase.
Intrusive thoughts they never leave you alone, they love you so much they won't let you go alone anywhere.
My intrusive thoughts were always a problem for me but during the year 2020 when all of the world was in quarantine, I messed up my life so much that I no longer was able to perform normally, my mind would force me with every negative thought in the world that you can think of and I was ashamed to even tell someone.
A physiatrist gave me anti-depressants which was more depressing, it has all sorts of side effects that would make your depression even worse, after 3 months of use I stopped taking Prozac, but it didn't make things better I got worse again after just a few months.
I searched for an answer, what was wrong with me? Am I really evil? I would never hurt even a fly but why these thoughts? why can't I even stop them?
long story short, After like 2 years of suffering, I watched every video related to depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts on RU-vid, read some books and this is what worked for me in the end:
"You are not your thoughts, you are the observer of your thoughts, it's up to you which thoughts you give attention to and which to ignore"
1. I stopped watching Corn (my 50% suffering ended here), still masturbated but without the corn.
2. I started working out again, I used to do boxing/kickboxing in my teenage which I started again.
3. Meditation, at least 10mins every day (makes a HUGE difference)
4. Never ever do self-negative talk about yourself, your negative side of the brain hears everything, and it will double it up and make you even feel worse.
5. I go for walks in nature whenever I have free time, and don't spend a lot of time indoor except when I am working (9-5 job) /gaming/editing for this channel.
6. I stopped working overtime, spent all of my off days well, and spent outdoor time as much as possible, nothing is worth more than health.
7. Make a dream that is nearly impossible and then work for it to achieve it, in short, keep yourself occupied.
FIND MEANINGFUL STRESS IN YOUR LIFE, SO YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR ENERGY ON MEANINGLESS STRESS.
Most importantly, discuss it with your friend/brother if you going through this, talking to someone really helped me when I was looking for solutions.
