You can actually get anywhere(at least in my testing) but in a submarine Once you get out of the water though you get 720 kph of wind in your face in an instant so you’re flinged back to the real map

depends on speed, really slow is not bad, especially if aerodynamic

@@Trailmaker. bullets can be designed to supercavitate, but aparently not a round moving at the speed of sound in water.

@@drakenred6908 dropping a supersonic projectile in water is a good estimation of how it will fly when actually supersonic. in other words, a subsonic projectile in water acts like a supersonic projectile in the air.

@@danifalkjensen water can not be compressed, unlike air. if you go extremely fast and enter the atmosphere, it will create friction (and thuse heat) as the air compresses in front of you. but if you hit water at even just half that speed, the water doesn't have the time to be gently pushed around by your body, and instead acts like a concrete slab, crushing you into a puddle of blood, flesh and pulverized bone.

Water is much harder to compress than air so it transmits vibrations quicker.

@@slickrick8279 Everything can be compressed (Well, every physical object). At around 200 atmospheres water is about 1% denser than in 1 atmosphere. "much harder" in this instance just means "so much harder it's normally not worth thinking about." Indeed without the ability to be compressed something has no method of transmitting any sound at all, as this is caused by vibrations in the structure of the material - the movement of particles within it relative to each other, creating pockets of temporarily compressed or expanded material. If something were incompressible for it to carry a sound would require the whole object to move all at once - instantaneously moving the sound to the other side of the object i.e. faster than light i.e. it's impossible. In fact you would never be able to move such an object, since any attempt to move part of it would also require the whole thing to move all at once, having the same problem of this allowing communication at FTL speeds.

The calculation for hitting the water at supersonic speeds is quite easy. supersonic speed + surface collision = big badda boom

(Realistically, when you collide with water at high speed the result is such that the surface tension is negligible, its like hitting a brick wall, the mass of the water is more the concern. So, maybe splat would be the appropriate technical term?)

From the camera's perspective it would be an endless roar. From the pilot's perspective, nothing really changes as most of the noise they hear is transmitted through the body of the aircraft anyway, and they obviously don't hear the book, as they are outrunning the sounds traveling through the air.

you wouldnt actually hear anything, since you are moving faster than the sound. Youd just hear your engines going deeper and then tishina. The people on the ground are later hit by your "sonic cone" (the thing shown with those white circles) and hear something which sounds like an explosion
