It isn't a fair trade, any way you slice it. Schools do not prepare kids for the world. The curriculum shows this. If public schools are to be the slightest bit useful, then they need to cater to the jobs of the public majority. As they are now, they're just useless tax dollar vacuums. Public schools need to be turned into "Job Corp Jr", so to speak.
