What Happens When You Actually Chew Food 30 Times?

I decided to take what I suspected from my food blending challenge and see if actually chewing my food 30 or more times would cause any visual differences. I also talk about any other benefit or negative I experienced while trying this out! I hope you enjoy my attempt at this scientific experiment lol

This was the reason how I lost 13.6 kilograms without one second of exercise! Combined with stopping eating immediately at the first sensation of fullness. Also half your plate should be vegetables , the remainder each fifty percent complex carbs and protein/fat. Eat the vegetables first then protein and fat and then complex carbs. Also eat most of your carbs earlier in the day and avoid in the evening. You have to give your brain time to know you’re full. It absolutely works.

I have been having stomach pain since last year after I diagnosed with H pylori. I completed my antibiotic treatment and I was tested negative one after it. But the symptoms still sustained including bloating, dull pain when I’m hungry or after eating, burps, etc. I started chewing my food at least 30 times. Depending on what type of food I eat, sometimes I would chew more than 30 times as needed till it become pulp. My symptoms disappear almost immediately after I started doing it. I was still able to eat same amount of food as I was not looking to lose weight but I did not feel any indigestion after eating. I really recommend everyone give it a try if you have those digestion issues or you just want to be healthy in general.

I've been chewing thoroughly until feeling the impulse of swallowing and the health benefits are amazing! I've lost a lot of excess weight that I had (I naturally consume fewer calories), my intestinal problems stopped and I feel so light when doing sports. I fell off the wagon a few times because when I'm stressed out I get anxious and start swallowing like a pig again to later feel horrible but the following day I would start chewing properly again. 100% Correct. I would even say however to just chew your food to porridge level, don't necessarily stick to "30" times. Swallow the food that has become like porridge if you have a good amount of food in your mouth to chew. I did this diet in the past and now started again. Lost 2.2KG so far in just 4 days. Expecting average weight loss between 3-4KG per week. That's 12-16KG a month. 144KG / 192KG a year... And this is without going to the gym...

I have tried meds, nearly everything imaginable with no permanent fix. I took it upon myself to adopt this practice and sure enough I have not had a single episode. I'm here because I have been having a similar experience. Yes, satiation catches up faster, enabling me to eat less. And I experience less bloating and also less diarrhea. Importantly, I do NOT count my chews. I am instead chewing "until there are no lumps left." This I believe is a more relaxed way of achieving the same outcomes. This is something I will continue throughout my life and I will be shouting my praises of thorough chewing at people until I die, haha. I'd be really interested to see you do this challenge again, only just in a more qualitative way, where you "chew until there are no lumps left" for like two weeks and report on how you feel it's effecting you. You could start with an update on how this challenge effected the way you eat ongoing, too which would also be interesting.

It's been about two months since I started this. I didn't weigh myself, and have not weighed myself. But my t-shirts are not swinging looser, as my bloated stomach has gone way down. My face has lost puffiness. My shoes are looser, and I have a LOT more energy. The fatigue I had has dropped away, and I went out and bought a three-wheeled bike. I started walking any night I don't ride my bike. I am not able to finish normal sized plates. I can get only about half of them or less eaten, and the rest goes in the fridge. Bowel activity has stayed regular. When I get hungry, I eat. I don't snack very much any more, and if I do, it's not a large amount. Chewing this much has increased my enjoyment of food immensely. Time between meals is shortened because of my extended chewing, so I don't get ravenous. No calorie or carb counting. No portion sizing. I eat mostly fresh food, but if I wanted a pizza, I would get one, and have. It took me four days to get through the last small pizza because I could only eat small pieces at a time. A salad takes me about an hour to eat. Ever onward!

This is a great video! When I slow down and chew slowly I definitely tend to eat less and not get bloated. It's so had to get out of the habit of eating fast. I worked in retail for many decades and did not have much time during breaks to eat slowly/mindfully. Now I try to keep pace with my husband who is a super slow eater. That seems to help a lot. Plus I serve myself less food knowing that if after 30 minutes if I'm still hungry - I can get more.

I've been practicing this for about three weeks now. A side benefit I have gotten is my gum health. My two lower back molars had some gingivitis, even though I try to brush well back there. Since I have been chewing my food at LEAST 30 times each mouthful, my gingivitis seems to have cleared up. Which makes sense, since it is getting more stimulation, especially with fiber-rich vegetables. So if you have stubborn gingivitis, is it because you are not chewing enough?

I vary my chew count depending on the food. In the first bite , I'll count the number of chews required to almost completely liquify the food (still far from liquid). Then i repeat it with every bite. Sometimes the count crosses 100 depending on the food. For fruits it's 20-30 and for meat its around 150.

This is good. I like this because with eating fries for example, 30 chews is a stretch. But with a hamburger, after 30 chews I’d still be chewing with my normal habits and I should increase the count. 30 chews isn’t necessarily the end all be all

I literally JUST subscribed to your Chanel Chanel watched a couple videos so forgive me if you've already done this, but you should totally make a video where you do 15-20 minutes or more of stretching/yoga a day!! Feel free not to if you don't want to I just figured I'd make a suggestion.

Ty! I know this must be why I have stomach issues. By the time my husband is served his dinner, I’m already done! I have severe stomach problems with gas, bloating, etc... I’ve had every test under the sun with no findings. My husband even bought me one of those dog bowls with the groves to keep me from eating too fast. I’m seriously going to force myself to eat slower. My life has become so affected by this bad habit.

Since I have started chewing more 4 day ago I have been sleeping better. 3 out of 4 days. Maybe because its easier on my digestion.

this was actually a style of diet back in the victorian era called the (Horace) Fletcher Diet. From all accounts it seemed to have worked just as you demonstrated

Makes sense stomach can process the food faster if it's in smaller pieces or chunks

Digestion starts in the mouth, the more you chew and break it down , the less acid has to form, rather than more acid breaking down big chunks. Also the slower you eat, gives the food more time to fill your stomach so you can realize it’s full, when you eat fast, you won’t feel the sensation of fullness until it’s to late cause the food is still on the way down.

Do the sauces help with weight/fat loss at all as part of one's diet? I've never been a fan of them, so I genuinely dont know.
