@@JasonWharton82 I love some gain but of the gold and black British flavor. American amps are all voiced wrong but they have been made that way for so long that everyone just assumes they are supposed to sound that way.

Back in the mid 00s I sold the JCM2000 I’d had for years because all the bands I was into were playing dual recs, I part exchanged it for a dual rec tremoverb which on paper was just what I wanted and it looked awesome, it wasn’t the stamped steel cheesy front plate that the normal dual recs have. After gigging it for months I ultimately decided my significantly cheaper JCM2000 was way more what I was into so very much regretted my decision!

@@JasonWharton82 I once coveted a dual rec because everyone was playing them in the late 90’s but never bought one. I had a JCM2000 TSL100 back in the day but traded it for a Les Paul which I later sold to fund an SG. The JCM2000’s sounded good but had some pretty massive design flaws so you potentially dodged a bullet letting it go. My main amp is a Marshall 2204 JMP that I’ve had over 20 years and got when it was just an old amp whereas now it is vintage and desired, at least here in the states where Marshall amps are expensive. I personally think a cranked 800 with a tube screamer or sd1 or something in front of it is the pinnacle of guitar tone

@@JasonWharton82 Marshall amps here are about double the cost what they are there, whereas mesas and other American amps are cheaper here than they are over there

Yep, using the cab sim output on the pedal which models a celestian green back loaded 4x12 straight into my interface. Low pass filter in post just to make the guitars sit in the mix a bit better so as not to get in the way of the bass but that’s it.
