These are all gorgeous, but I especially love the large one you have done. Thank you for the pre-warning of the mould issues. It is great that so many crafters have been inspired by you. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous work with everyone x
I just love how your creative brain works! They look almost like little planets to me, I think they’d be fabulous to use in some space themed coasters!
Wow. You are really upping your game. Your raindrop technique has gone viral! Congratulations 🎉. I love all of them. They remind me of Summer. They really turned out beautifully. Thank you for sharing ❤
I am happy to see someone has stepped up this raindrop technique! I don't know if everyone thought that the technique was a new one?? 😅 It's been around for ages! 🤭 But I see lots of ppl doing it again! 🤷 So I was very excited that you came up with something new to add to it! 🥰 I love these! I think they look like colorful stained glass cobblestones!! 🤩💕 Beautiful!! Tysm for showing us!!
Hi Carol I think the reason why it got much viral is because how easy it is . I actually shared it in resin beginner's group so everyone there are new to resin world . The fact that everyone can make this and it will turn out same 100% results. Thank you so much for your kind appreciation I am trying to take this technique with different elements. 💗😊💗😊💗😊
You should try pouring colored resin around the drops, like half way up. Let that cure. Next color the raindrops with whatever and then pour another layer of whatever resin you choose. Just to see if it creates more depth. Or different depth.
Hi Oonagh I actually thought about this to try definitely on my list so many ideas are generating would really love to give it a go m Thank you so much for your useful words.
I Coloured the UV with the ink, not a lot, just a little, and I used clear silicone mold, hit it with a lamp, then epoxy coloured resin on top looked really awesome
Thankyou so much for your brilliant Idea will do that. for this particular one I wanted to have that coloured lines around the drops although it I got what I wanted but my mold got sacrificed lol .
I just saw the raindrops' effect on Claire's Crafty Corner, where she gave a shout out to you. This is so cool with the ink colored drops. Thanks for inspiring all of us. ❤ I really love how all of the coasters turned out, but my favorite is the larger one. ❤
Oh my gosh! I love, love, love them all❤ Have you ever made a suncatcher/chime using a large coaster on top and smaller on the bottom with tubes for sound. I think these pieces would ve so cool for that!❤❤❤
First of all, thx for your videos and sharing new ideas. At first I was like eeehhh nah and then you added the top coat to the biggest mold and OMG it is beautiful!!! My favorite is the one in the biggest mold.
Your very welcome sometimes I do wonder what I making until the last minute. I am glad you liked it .Experiments are sometime hit and sometimes miss 😊😊💗💗💗💗.Thank you for your kind words 🙏 😊 💕
What a fun look! I have been thinking, and I wonder what these raindrop techniques would look like if you top-coated them with UV resin just on the spots. I would love to see you try that. Keep up the good work!
I LOVE the raindrop effect, I've had a go myself today, will have to wait until tomorrow to see if they have worked, can't wait to demould them 🥰 thank you sooo much for the fabulous idea x
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching just a tip please use a coaster that is not expensive as some time alcohol inks leave there marks. It do not effect the projects but mold get stained. ♥️
Hi Shalina hope you are well , this is very fun looking it reminds me of the twister game 😂, sorry to hear about your mould 😢, thanks for sharing your beautiful work ❤❤❤ xxx
Thank you so much Michelle 💓 💗 💛 it was a huge mistake for using that mold but stuff happens but still I am happy it came out lovely. Now I need to sort to fix my mold 🧐
To prevent ruining molds could you do a thin layer of resin ( letting it cure) then add the raindrops and continue. Yes it’s a long process but would this prevent damage to molds from the alcohol inks
Also, I’m thinking if you were to use a translucent mold instead of a colored mold with the uv resin, you might not ruin the mold… im Thinking that the heat of the uv lamp and the prolonged time needed to cure the uv resin on the colored mold is what caused the accidental ruined mold… that would be my guess… I do think they turned out really neat though! I will try this tomorrow and see how it works… I have a trashed translucent coaster mold that to can use to see if duplicating your actions sans the colored mold, yields the same results on the translucent mold…
The alcohol inks dye the molds 🥰 but they shouldn't transfer to new pieces so the mold is still ok to use😊 the only problem of the non translucent mold and the uv resin, is that the uv resin has a difficult time curing bc it cannot be touched all over with the uv light (if that makes sense? 😅) If it was a clear mold she could cure fm the bottom of the mold as well and they would've cured better.. I have also noticed.. even when I use a clear mold and cure dots of uv resin and then do a pour of epoxy, sometimes the uv resin gets soft (seemingly uncured) again.. so I try to use only clear molds so that once the epoxy is cured I can put the uv light on it again before demolding just to be sure everything is good to go! 🤗💕 Hopefully that has helped someone!! 🥰🥰
@@carolstewart1704 yes, when I do uv resin I always hit it with the light again after I demold just to make sure the light gets everywhere… that was the problem the lady at pouring your heart out had… she didn’t cure the uv resin all the way through… she used a so,I’d mold and so the light didn’t get all the way through and when she poured the epoxy over the dots, the bottoms of the coasters dots were not fully cured of epoxy over them all-and instead of hitting he dots with the uv light, she just put a top coat over them all… uv resin is tricky and it has a steep learning curve to get it to cure correctly… it also had to do with what uv resin you are using…
@@ZippedUpKitz I was talking about using a clear mold and hitting it with uv light again after the epoxy had cured but before demolding 😊💕 and yep, everything u said makes sense too 🥰
I,ve used foils......each drop I have coated with a foil...it is time consuming. put chameleon powder on first around the raindrops, the foil will not stick to it, only the drops ...
