Our family was really wishing that we could have seen his camera footage,that he was explaining. That waa a very well written story!! Very engaging,just wish it was longer& that he was able to find out what was visiting his boat. Maybe he could have set up his camera,and filmed it,them,ect??

My only complaint is with the genre not this specific story, which is that so many of these stories end with two things that annoy me: 1. The internet miraculously works just in time to send out a final goodbye message. It's unnecessary are breaks the suspension of disbelief. I weirdly find the spire and the fish monsters more believable than the idea his laptop managed to get a signal in the middle of the ocean for the first time right then. It would've made far more sense to write a little blurb that said, "This log was taken from the (insert boat name), which was found partially capsized and adrift with a large hole in its bow. No body was ever recovered." 2. "If you ever see an alien UFO, stay away!" "If you ever see an abandoned government facility, stay away!" "If you ever see a giant metal spire in the middle of the ocean, stay away!" Yeah, no fuckin duh. Beyond that, phenomenal story. Captured the same kind of energy Lovecraft did and built upon it. You weren't too forward with details, kept the perfect amount of mystery throughout, and the character was believable. A believable main character is the hardest and most important things to do in my opinion. I love horror, but can't stand poor quality, and this kept my attention all the way through. You've got my subscription

Good story but the ending was weak.

Author has no idea about being at sea. Internet connection? Only with sat connection. Radio? Single Sideband Radio has a range 400 miles max..VHF 35 miles if youre lucky. I'll stop there..not trying to nitpick but maybe do your homework when writing a story. Narrator rocks as usual.
