Hey Danny.. I just found you recently while educating myself on the Enchantments. I'm 52yrs old & my wife & I hiked 156 miles in 2022. The places you go & videos you post are an inspiration. We always photo our hikes & you have convinced us to now video them for a new way of storing memories. Look forward to following you in 2023.

Hey good morning Charley! Thanks for checking out the Enchantments videos. You guys hiked a lot of miles last year (more than myself)! I have a huge goal right now of growing this RU-vid channel, but all in all if that doesn't happen I'll be forever grateful that I have these videos to look back on to remind myself of some of the places I was able to see and visit. Needless to say, I'm a big advocate for filming your memories so I think it's awesome you guys plan on doing so. Thank you so much for subscribing, the comment, and for the support. I look forward to engaging more with you guys this year. Cheers.

Oh, we are SOOO very glad you posted a video tonight!!! We know you are dealing with several issues on the homestead and figured a Danny S. EoY video was out of the question!!! Your video was part of our New Year's celebration!!! Thank you so much for posting!!! We are so grateful to you for all your hard work, dedication, time, and the financial resources it takes to bring all your subs such unbelievable content every year!!! To increase your viewership by 100% in less than 12 months is nothing short of amazing and you should take a moment (after clearing your roof of course 😊) to reflect on that accomplishment!!! Boy oh boy, asking us which adventure from 2022 is the best is a VERY tough call!!! They were all spectacular. They truly were!!! But since you asked, and mind you, we had to watch the video twice because the choice was difficult, here are our thoughts on each adventure. Our votes are below. 1. Star Peak Lookout: Unbelievably beautiful adventure!!! I am sure you started doing this in previous videos, but this is when we first started noticing the "walk-by" shots. Love the views from the lookout point, especially from the chair drinking coffee!!! You crushed it!!! And who can forget scoring the pack of cheese!!! 😊 Also, your outro was stunning. That MAY be the first time we said to ourselves, WHO spends that much time on an outro??? Most people would lead with that!!! If YT gave an award for the last 10 secs of a video, you would win that award hands down!!! 2. Evans Landing: Another great hike!!! We love Lake Pend Oreille. This adventure will be a bigger challenge for us because of the elevation, but WOW, insanely beautiful!!! Of course, Lolly stole the show on this one! We remember her walking on the fallen tree and running into the water. We cracked up because it seemed like that was her first time trying to swim. She loved the water, until she didn't 😊. What a great adventure!!! 3. Sawtooth Grand Thru-Hike: Talk about crushing it!!! We always enjoy adventures with Bob and Josh!!! The Sawtooth's are BREATHTAKING!!! It was like getting punched in the face with beauty!!! That series of videos had more jaw dropping and breathtaking views than I can list. My Mom loved that shot at the 2:29 mark!!! The mountain as a backstop with the turquoise blue lake surrounded by mountains with snow covered peaks!!! Holy Moly!!! 4. Enchantments + Little Annopurna: That was a great co-lab video in a BEAUTIFUL area!!! The scenery there was amazing!!! Loved the water falling off the giant boulders!!! The sunset was amazing and the shot of you sitting on the edge of the mountain cliff was INSANE!!! If I recall correctly, that was the trek your phone took a header and you had to take a pretty hairy descent down to recover it!!! That shot at the 3:49 mark was idyllic. All that being said, I think the Billy goats were the quiet stars of that video!! 😊😊😊 5. Blossom/Pear/Revett Lakes Loop: OMG, just Heaven on earth!!! I cannot believe there are that many mountain lakes in such a confined area!!! If I recall correctly, there was a bit of a disturbance and Lolly was ready to jump into action. We both loved this video. 6. Cirque Peak: Banff Nation Park, CA. I mentioned I first fell in love with this park after playing a video game!!! Just insane beauty!!!! We were also glad to see Tessa back on the trails!!! Loved the ascension shot at the 5:23 mark!! My Mom said the shot at the 5:27 mark looked like you were on top of the world and she said it looked like it was from Google Earth. 😊 I could not agree more!!! I thought the money shot was at the 5:30 mark, when you were overlooking that majestic beauty. 7. Honorable Mention: Pewee Falls. We loved this video!!! It was so beautiful AND Lolly was having a blast!!! Our Votes: Favorite: We both loved all the videos, no doubt!!! If we had to pick, and it was a tough choice, my Mom picked #3, the Sawtooth Grand Thru-Hike and I picked #5, the Danny Blossom/Pear/Revett Lakes custom loop. Where to go to next: Copper Creek Falls, Bonners Ferry. Big and Huge thank you to you for all the INSANELY great content you provide!!! Cannot wait to see what adventures 2023 will bring us!!! Thank you so much!!! Happy New Year!!!

Woo! I barely squeezed it in but I got it done! I got off work the morning of the 31st and threw a quick video together! I am honored to have been apart of your New Years Eve Celebration! And twice for that matter! You and your mom rock! I truly appreciate all of the support to channel and for the write-ups on each individual video. My trips were longer in 2022, and not as frequent but it made for such a good year. Lolly, Tessa, and I may just have to take a little trip up to Copper Creek Falls one of these times! I can't say thanks enough to you guys! You two are probably the BIGGEST fans of the channel and I love it. I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys here in the new year! Stellar compilation Danny! Those were definitely some of the most absolutely GORGEOUS 115 miles you could ever ask for! Here's to more for ya in 2023 👍 It's been a true pleasure following along brother! As far as hikes: It would be awesome to get together this year and hit a trail with ya man! I'm thinking Hyndman Peak. Absolutely pure epicness! Plus I know how much you like baggin' those peaks man! Let me know if you're up for it 👍 It's very difficult to choose a favorite hike/trip from this past year. If forced though, I'd have to go with the White Clouds into/through Chamberlain Basin... now that was a trip to remember! Hope 2023 is off to a great start for ya by the way brother!

Hey thanks John! I didn't get out for as many trips as I would've liked to last year, but was able to get a couple of lengthier ones in so I'll take it! I really appreciate your continued support to the channel here. For being a larger channel, and to still take the time to watch the content here and engage is really cool. It'd be awesome to tag along on a peak bag with you sometime. I've looked up Hyndman before I believe, and it looks like an awesome spot. Have you done it before? Sorry to put the pressure on ya! The White Clouds are probably my favorite spot in Idaho thus far. I don't believe we made it to the Chamberlain Basin on our loop so I'm guessing it's somewhere on the southern end near Castle Peak? Thanks again John! This comment counts as one entry for the giveaway!

@@DannyJSchaefer You're more than welcome Danny! I don't think we ever get in as many trips as we'd like to right, haha. Seriously though, the ones that you did get in (and shared here) were definitely some awesome ones man! As far as supporting the channel... it's a true pleasure! You put out some EXCELLENT content that's always a joy to watch brother! So a big ol' Thank You for sharing all that you do! I haven't summited Hyndman (yet), but did the approach in and camped at Sundance Lake. Next day thunderstorms rolled in ruling out a summit bid. Still an epic adventure though! Now it's near the top of my list to summit. It'd definitely be awesome to bag that peak (or another) with ya sometime man 👍 I hear ya about the White Clouds for sure. They're a favorite of mine as well. There's just something magical about 'em as I'm sure you know well from your loop trip there. That was EPIC by the way! Yeah, the Chamberlain Basin sits south of Castle Peak. You guys were actually pretty close to it on your loop hike. It's definitely a must-do trip by the way! Being in the basin at about 9,000 feet and seeing Castle Peak just towering over you another 3,000 feet is absolutely awe-inspiring man! It's so easy to just get lost spending a few days there and exploring the area and soaking it all in. Anyhow, I hope that you have a great weekend man!
