It's time for another what I eat in a day video! Here's a full day of eating mostly paleo and healthy and balanced meals. I love food, so it's important that my meals are healthy AND delicious! I'm also on a special thyroid diet plan for Hashimoto's disease (and autoimmune condition), but the journey has led to a place where I really embrace intuitive eating and eat what makes me feel great. Healthy food doesn't have to be boring! To eat well, it's all about prioritizing nutrition without sacrificing flavor - and treating yourself every now and then! I embrace eating for health and love creating bold flavors in healthy recipes that always keep me satisfied. Food can be clean and delicious!

Hashi in the house...Just discovered why I'm always sore and tired...not to mention why in the heck Im heavier than I should be for how much I do ...pretty please make more of these SO HELPFUL!

Hello, again!! I see that chai smoothie recipe you gave me is in here! Still have yet to try it (gotta get the chai protein powder) but seeing you make it is getting me excited to try it!! Also, that dinner looks so yummy! 😊

Hi Jess-I’m so glad I found you, my history sounds similar to yours-feeling better but getting tired of same old 5 meals struggling to find new foods to eat! Yours look great! Is there a way to get the exact recipes???

Thank you Jess, I have not been diagnosed with a thyroid disease yet, but my thyroid antibodies have come back elevated. Tg 7 and TPOAb 61. Actually my TPOAb dropped 2, but my Tg increased 2 between two labs. My TSH last taken was 1.77 which is climbing. They put me on beta blockers due to sweating and massive heart palpitations that would land me in the ER. Your video sure helped in introducing more food items as I had cut gluten from my diet and I was lactose intolerant so dairy has been gone for years. I never thought to go look for canned pumpkin and that is one more item I can get. I am unable to have legumes (beans) and I have not relintroduced nightshade yet. I believe I ended up with subacute Thyroiditis (not diagnosed yet) due to an upper respiratory infection, pneumonia and then later found out I had fatty liver. I have been for over a month studying everything under the sun about Hashimoto’s as it runs in my family. I am in the hyperthyroid state and have lost weight, my B12 was in range, but low which pernicious anemia was that second autoimmune disease one of the family members who has Hashimoto got. My labs are not in the range where the doctors can prescribe me thyroid meds, so I’m trying to have relief from the symptoms through diet. As this progresses, I should start seeing hypothyroid symptoms after about three months. If it is subacute Thyroiditis brought on by the pneumonia there is an 80% chance I could possibly go back to a functioning thyroid, but I am out researching and creating a support system just in case I find myself with Hashimoto’s. I find such up beat, peace and supportive information in your videos. Thank you! God Bless you for sharing your story and what you learn and experience. I pray the Lord uses me to help others too.

I've never heard of hemp protein! I've got to look for that. Hubby and I are lactose intolerant, but he has the added need of things to be soy-free (IBS), so we've had trouble finding a good protein mix. Also, did you know you can make your own avocado mayo? It's super easy, kind of fun, and WAY cheaper.

I don’t do soy either, and I use hemp protein pretty much every day in a smoothie! You can also just use hemp seeds. I have made homemade mayo many times, but the Primal Kitchen Mayo is just so convenient, haha. I get it from Costco so it’s much better priced. :)

That protein powder sounds yummy, I love chai. I totally love smoked salmon, never thought to use it in that way. Everything looks delicious!

The smoothie sounds right up my alley! I'm only going to mention this because I think it's relevant to your (super admirable!) dietary goals, but I'd recommend you check on that salmon. I saw it at Costco but I think it's not wild-caught salmon, meaning it is farmed - and in that case it may be a food you would probably like to avoid. Please let me know if I'm wrong though because sheesh, that salad looks delicious! 😊💕

Thank you! I thought I remembered reading that it was wild caught, but it’s definitely possible that I’m mistaken and am thinking of a different one I purchase. I do definitely prefer wild caught, so I’m going to check on that when I get home!

I looked, and I couldn’t find anything on the actual package that said farm raised. The ingredients just said fresh Atlantic salmon. However, the tag that shows the weight and price says “sustainably farm raised.” Sneaky sneaky!

Thank you! I’m currently using the anti-aging line of shampoo and conditioner from Andalou Naturals. I also use a heat protectant type of product from Giovanni.

Haha, thanks! I definitely have to deal with dryness/dullness/hair loss as a result of Hashimoto’s. Anything I can find that helps combat that is a win for me!

I will have to try it! I’m making zuppa Toscana in my Instant Pot for dinner. It’s paleo compliant, except for the cannellini beans, which can be left out of the recipe.
