If you like Lindt, you should really try out chocolate from a German company called Rausch. They have a phenomenal store in Berlin that is definetly worth a visit, but they also sell their chocolate online. It is not on the cheap side of things, but for me it is worth every penny!
I just found your channel, and I really like your style and content. I’m just beginning my “style journey” a bit late, 54, but better later than never. I’ve always been a jeans and T-shirt or sweatshirt kind of guy, so this is fun. Thank you!
@@hespokestyle I have a big family so I can’t really justify putting a lot of money into my style, so maybe just simple, inexpensive things that can be done to notch up my appearance. Also, maybe other ways to make my life more classy, better entertainment choices like music, setting up ambience for dinner, or any other meal, manners and etiquette. Perhaps you’ve covered some of these and I just haven’t gotten there yet. Thanks for asking.
Interesting video! Just my two cents on different subjects; 1. For losing weight: when you are at a certain weight, it doesn't matter what you start with, just start! I think the hardest part for me was just trying to stick to a program. Once things start slowing down, then I guess you will need a lot more research or professional advice. 2. Cooking with what's left is very fun for me! However having cooking as a hobbie and dieting hasn't been the best two hobbies to enjoy at the same time.
Far more healthy than what my schedule looks like. Truthfully, I don't have a schedule, I eat what ever I feel like having at the moment. I maintain approx. 150 lb. with a little exercise now and then. I say all of this but I should mention that I am 33 years older than you, so all things considered I think I am doing pretty well. I also, went back to work, as I was bored with the retirement gig. I find the physical and mental challenges to be so rewarding and hope to continue for at least five years.
More content like this please (workout, healthy diet stuff, healthy habits)... I know it's not the bulk of your content but it's really appreciated. ...I myself have been trying to get in better shape and loose my baby bump lol
Great content, thank you for the inspiration. For me regularly it is not a "Full Day Of Eating" but more a "Day Full Of Eating". Luckily I do not have any problems with my weight, but it is hard for me to gain muscles.
Amazing discipline and advice to come back to. I'd certainly enjoy more fitness/health content. It's so interesting to see how eating habits differ culturally! Being in my early 20s, I can just eat what I like-I don't gain weight, that's a blessing and a curse. Though I should add that I'm keeping my meals healthy and visit the gym. And as soon as my metabolism changes, I'll be ready. Thanks as always-whatever you put out, it's enjoyable and thoughtful, Brian.
I have found that for me, portion control is all about habit. If you eat smaller portions for a while, you will continue to do so unless larger portions are forced upon you, for example by relatives, friends or restaurants.
I fast 4 times a week I usually have breakfast, smoothie as a snack, and lunch at 14h, then i fast till the next day till 7am. I lost 12 kilos in 2.5 months, i go to the gym 3 times a week using my body resistance for working out, no liftings weights anymore. No Alcohol, no sodas, no sweets (I usually eat 1-3 dates) if I get low blood sugar. Thanks for sharing your ideas sport :)
I agree being in good health will take you farther, also if you look like a Greek god (raising my hand) you'll look better in your clothing which will bring up the value of it. One negative point I would say is having a 42 inch chest and 30 inch waist with very broad shoulders will make custom and tailors your best friend, saves when I'm my own best friend lol
QUESTION: Best men's little black suit...I love my Dolce and Gabbana, but I also loved my Christian Lacroix...used to wear Mugler, but I had the waist to wear them as they were always a size smaller than the rest of the suit.
As an elite athlete I'm sure you had a lot of energy, but maybe not so much these days? Did you have coffee and do you think you still need coffee? I'm trying to quit coffee by increasing my cardio.
I started road cycling 3 years ago (at 50) and it's been life changing. Have done 3 century rides which I never imagined doing. Wish I had started younger. Do you still cycle just for fun/exercise? Maybe a video on cycling attire (jerseys, pants, shoes) and how to look stylish when cycling? Just a thought. Love your videos and look forward to many more.
You should eat to fuel your body for its needs. I exercise every day, including about 45 mins of rowing, so I need those calories. Someone who is sedentary does not. Calories are fuel and everyone requires different amounts of fuel depending on their level of activity. If you don’t drive you car that much, you fill up less often. If you drive it everyday, you’re filling up more frequently.
Great video and I would like more details on your gym workout (and how you make your breakfast and pack your lunch). I imagine as an ex athlete you have the discipline to maintain routines that a lot of others won't.
Hi, What do you think of Keto? I was struggling with Diet for the last, let's say 8years? Last year I tried Keto and I dropped 10kg in 2.5 months. Now I am back to my normal carbs diet and I am still not gaining any weight. Love to hear your thoughts. Cheers
Like I said, I'm not a doctor or nutritionist. I have never done any kind of restrictive or "named" type of diet, including Keto. Based on my personal experience, I truly believe that eating balanced is the best thing to do. If you have specific goals, you have to tailor your diet to that, for sure. But a balance of protein, fat, and carbohydrates is important. And staying hydrated!
Nicely done with good, factual information. Thank you. But...... you did seem to gloss over dinner the other 4 nights of the week.......errr, Popeyes fried chicken or just drinking Jager? ;)
@@hespokestyle oh no no subtext !! simple question do you drink decaf tea and coffee, I gave up caffeine one year ago and the overall improvements are amazing. No mood swings no gastro problems or digestion problems...no downside at all xx
