I am so glad to have found your videos!! I have Hashimotos and just started AIP. I have joint pain, extreme fatigue, brain fog, and cystic acne. Along with awful digestive issues. I am hoping the 90 day elimination will help my body sort itself out!

Thank you. This is really helpful. I am changing my diet because of body pains but was so confused as to what to eat and how to eat. Your video gave an insight on how I can start. Which protien powder were you using?

I realy need to try steaming my plantains, I love them and steaming would be way healthier than the panfrying I usualy do.

yes steaming is a great way to eat them! In southern India that is a common way of eating ripe plantains!

I love your recipes, they look really easy and delicious and I`m gong to try some, thanks a lot!.... I`m also doing paleo for about 5 months now and I would love to incorporate so more fish in my diet, but it`s really difficult to source your fish meat....and it`s a challenge to find wild fish like salmon etc. These market fish products are filled with mercury and other toxins such as artificial dye (to make the flesh look a certain shade).... For those who do consume farm fish and worry about toxicity, dr. Isabella Wentz recommends coriander to safely and efficiently detox from metals such as mercury. Hope you are all well and doing great with your particular paleo or AIP :)

thanks for sharing your tips! Yes wild caught fish can be expensive. It is ok to also eat canned fish like salmon or tuna or other shellfish like mussels, clams etc.

I heard when you take turmeric add a small pinch of black pepper to get it’s better absorption but you said to avoid black pepper

yes black pepper is avoided initially on AIP as it can be a trigger for the immune system. But after a period of 1 month or so, you can introduce black pepper and see how your body reacts to it. I take a turmeric supplement with black pepper in it for the same reason you mention above.

Hi there I am so blessed by your video. I have one question is brown rice not good for rheumatoid arthritis because when ever I take it my inflammation is high

Yes all grains are inflammatory including rice. I find that white rice might be a little better than brown rice when it comes to inflammation since it is easier to digest. However if you have a lot of inflammation then you should avoid rice and all grains. I am so glad you found my video useful! Take care!

@@achijamir4386 I sadly found rice to worsen my sympthoms too. White rice is the most digestable, but it spikes the bloodsugar and that can cause inflammation too. Black rice on the other hand is not as easy to digest, but is loaded with an antiinflammatory compount that gives it its dark color. I still eat rice, but very rarely and conciously. Either white rice paired with antiinflamatory foods and fat that balance the bloodsugar out a bit, or black rice as a porridge, either ground and cooked, or just cooked with a lot of liquid for quite some time to break it down for easyer digestion.

AIP diet is not about vegetarianism, it promotes high quality protein like meat, and bone broth for collagen which is deficient in autoimmune conditions :)

My AIP list has no high sugary fruits (tropical). Are the tropical fruits in the introductory phase (30-60 days) or later during reintroduction? Isn’t cassava high carb? Thx!

Are you working with a nutritional therapy practitioner? They may have created a custom list for you. Sometimes when SIBO or dysbiosis is suspected, AIP plus low FODMAP is recommended. Otherwise all fruits are allowed on AIP although it is recommended to have sugary fruits in moderation.

love your food recipes, but have you tried to remove nightshade ex. curry ? Yes curry is an absolute Asian staple and I was absolutely in love with it . Based on the AIP diet, it has shown to cause heartburn, inflammation and joint pain.

Yes all nightshade spices and seed spices are excluded in AIP elimination phase. After you do elimination phase for 30-90 days and depending upon how you feel you can add back spices. Nightshade has to be added the last. I still avoid all night shade vegetables like bell peppers, eggplant and tomatoes and also paprika. . However I use a little bit of kashmiri chilli pepper which I am able to tolerate without issues.

Dr. Gundry said that they are ok to eat, as long as they are really well cooked, and for tomatoes to have the peel and seeds removed ... Anyways, there a lots of other options out there even without them :)

I hope it will help, it absolutly Sounds like inflammation, so finding out if you have a foodsensetivity might be realy helpful. Even if it does not heal your condition it at least should lessen you sympthoms. Good luck to you

Thank you for sharing. I passed through your videos and like what you have for recipes. I have Hashimoto and started this week with aip diet. But the thing is that the chicken and fish are allowed in aip. But on the other hand and before i started with aip an Ayurvedic doctor told me to stop eating those two coz they make the stomach heated and I'm already has a heated soury stomach. So how to manage this by cutting down chicken and fish on aip. Shall i lean only on meat? What do you recommend. Regards from a new subscriber

Thanks for your question. Ayurvedic medicine is a very unique form of medicine. So I would not want to mix that with AIP. I have never heard of fish being 'hot'. I would recommend you to follow AIP by itself and see if it helps you. I am sorry I am not knowledgeable about Ayurvedic medicine and so do not want to misspeak.

I still need to take them because I have severe RA. Some people are able to eliminate medications completely if they have mild disease. For me, I need all 3 - medications, diet and a stress free lifestyle. Hope that helps!

Hello mercury is a problem only with large fish like Tuna. You can eat those uptown 1-2 times a week without worrying about toxicity. I always recommend wild caught fish and small oily fish like anchovies, sardines etc. Everything in nature is meant to be used in balance and all organisms can coexist well within our ecosystem. Regarding sustainable fishing, check out Dr Sarah Ballantyne's podcast on this topic - www.thepaleomom.com/podcast-sustainable-seafood/. She busts several myths and again underscores the importance of eating fish since it is highly nutrient dense and provides us with a ton of benefits. But of course regardless of what I say, if you are personally inclined not to eat fish, that's your choice....as one definitely needs to only eat what they are mentally comfortable with otherwise the food they consume will have no benefits (according to ayurveda).
