I recently found out my father has Parkinson’s. What’s been so magical, though, is that it has inspired him and everyone in my immediate family to take nourishing and looking after our bodies much more seriously. We are all eating clean and learning about what we are allergic/intolerant to in order to lower inflammation. It’s been so beautiful to witness my father especially take such pride in developing rituals around food, exercise, and general self care. Despite the diagnosis, it’s the happiest I’ve seen him in years. Thank you for sharing about your family’s health Hitomi, it makes me feel less alone ❤️

I have oats almost every day for breakfast 😅 will never get sick of it 😍 I like to switch up the toppings but I tend to have some kind of berry + banana/peach/mango (depending on what’s in season) + a spoon of peanut butter (helps to stay satiated for longer)

Thank you for sharing sister! A good vegetable stock also is keeping all your vegetable peels, and anything that would usually throw in the compost. Freeze it all and then boil it up with a litre of water, let it step and perfect vegetable stock with no waste!

Hitomi, such a beautiful video, i was just wondering, since im trying to eat healthier - especially meals for work, do you have any good recepies as such? i find it quite hard to get a large amount of vegetables in and not just substitutes as a vegan, and your way of eating really inspires me!
Hitomi have you ever tried savory oats??? I started doing a savory oat bowl with bouillon salt and garlic in my oats and then putting an egg and mushrooms or bacon on top. Ik you’re plant based but I bet there are good savory veggie recipes

I totally get worrying about family health genes lol. I had such a crazy series of events that were scary but really led me to a space that I think helped me in the long run. I went pretty extreme vegan for two years which in ways was great but I fell into having a pretty privelegaed mindset and was really preachy and it was jsut not a good look lol. BUUUTTTT I was really suffering with extreme exhuastion and migranes and discovered a brain tumor! I ended up going back to eating non vegan because my electrolyes were kind of messed up and I had a seizure (the brain tumor caused this but I needed to keep a really close eye on my electrolytes to prevent other issues of the brain) but Not long after this I discovered my paternal side has really high cholesterol/and clotting disorders!! Even when I was vegan my cholesterol was still elevated so this is something I know I really need to be preventative about now to prevent heart surgery in my life. So im slowly working my way back to plant based and working on just having a more healthy lifestyle and ugh sorry this was kind of a rant but your videos are so enriching for food/spritual/peaceful...they are just so great so thank you!
