Wish it were so easy. I lost 80 lbs!! Then gained back probably 100. Talking to a therapist now. Eating healthy/low calorie sounds easy but isn't sustainable forever for everyone. If anyone reading this thinks they have any kind of eating disorder or negative feelings around food, please start off by seeking a mental health professional. ❤

She has another weight loss video about the weight loss mindset with the best weigh loss advice i ever heard on youtube and this video is more about how she herself did it. She mentions and addresses how she struggled with food noise and binge eating in that one.You should check out the other one too. This one didn't sit that much right with me too as my body and and habits are different but that other one was genius. I hope you can reach your goals and have a good day 😊

Also i used have 4 full meals but i think that hepled with abundance mindset so that i wouldn't want to eat something just because i may not be able to have it later (as in either time or resorce wise). I learned to listen to my hunger cues, and i make sure i have at least one thing thats healthy in a day and you know protein and fiber

you mentioned you had sugar cravings during the period you were drinking sugar free soda. Studies have shown, that when you drink low calorie artificially sweetened soda, the tongue can feel the sweetness and prepares the body for the energy intake. When it doesn't come (because of the low cal artificial sweetner), you end up with the sugar cravings. I read this in a book called "Ultra processed people"

One thing that's helped me stop over eating or snacking too much/having too many sugary coffees throughout the day, is to take a mandatory walk after each meal. I do 20 minutes but I think you only need 10 to help lower your blood sugar. Apparently this helps your insulin and gives your body a way to use up some of the glucose from the meal. This helps me because, while I enjoy walking, there are times that I would like to sit and relax, scroll through Tiktok or read. So if I don't want to spend ALL my time walking then I don't need to snack so much or drink my calories. This obviously only works if you're able to take walks after meals. I think the dietician I watched said just do this after at least 1 meal per day but I find walking after every snack or meal gives me motivation to get my steps in for the day, and not over eat.

Whats been helping me immensely is uncomplicating my "healthy" eating habits. Health influencers always post a lot of recipes and tips that are designed to maximize the results of said meal and they tend to overcomplicate things to keep their content fresh. Learning how to make for example korean banchan or japanese side dishes made the task of making vegetables taste good feel less like a task because of how simple and wholesome they are. Also thinking about like the roman times they basically just ate what we consider charcuterie a lot. Cheese, fruit, bread, nuts. And that was a meal. It IS a meal. Meals don't have to be complicated, and that changed my whole life (and also got me more interested in making complicated meals because it feels more like a hobby than a 3x a day necessity).

I’ve been on a diet since August 2023 and lost 35lbs while lifting weights. I HATE feeling hungry, so the best tip I ever learned was that protein makes you feel more full than any other macro and when you eat protein then follow it with the carbs and fats on your plate it will slow down your absorption of the carbs and you’ll stay feeling full for longer. I don’t eat any junk food or processed food because it’s so easily digested and I’m hungry soon after, so I guess my diet is whole foods focused. I wish someone had told me this when I was recovering from anorexia because I was so afraid of being hungry and was told to not avoid my fear foods so I just ended up overeating like crazy when I could have gone a much healthier route!!

Im losing weight in the healthy way too, but a little bit different. Already lost almost 6kg. One food that I really recomend is konjac, it's a fiber. You can substitute noodles and rice with konjac and it's really low calorie! I still eat rice and noodles! I started enjoying dark chocolate, and I was and still am a fan of milk chocolate, but, I tipically eat dark one.Started at 50%, then 65%, then 70%, then 80%, then 85% and Im now on 90%. It's a really good snack/dessert if you want something to eat, and is a really rich food, due to the antioxidants in there! When I started being more healthier, I now dont binge eat nor I eat sugary foods because I'm not craving them. I always try to do my own desserts when Im craving sugary food, because of the weird components in fast food in the market. Recently I baked matcha cookies with coconut sugar, which is a lill bit better than white sugar, and used white chocolate and raspberries. I also really like the 'Kookie Cat' cookies, especially vanilla choc chip and wild berries.Didn't try every flavor tho! One snack that I reallyyy enjoy is rice cakes with PB and raspberries. I crave this everyday and it's so good! I try to do intense exercise everyday, because I really enjoy going to the gym! I always try to prioritize a good amount of protein, to muscle gain, always have side salads, and eat a lot of it. You can eat how much u want because vegetables are normally low in calories(I usually eat bell peppers, onions, lettuce and tomatoes), and 1/4 of my plate is carbohydrates. I don't count calories, I normally just read the labels because there's many starches, sugars, oils, that aren't good for our health. I prioritize quality>price. This are some of my tips to lose weight. In my case it worked out, but maybe with some people it will not, because we are different human beings. Either way, good luck!

do you have "cheat" days? Like once a week you eat whatever you want without worrying about the calories or if it's healthy ecc. Also, how often do you eat chocolate?
@maddienhas
@maddienhas 2 месяца назад
@@_cira._ Of course I have cheat days!! You just need to balance everything. But try to have some caution. For example, if you eat milk chocolate: instead of eating everything, try to eat half of it or buy a smaller chocolate. Just be cautious with the proportions… I usually dont count calories, but I do see the label to see how calorie dense it is, to not eat too much calories in a day. If I really want a treat Ill eat it, because I think if you eat something u really wanna eat youll dont have the desire to eat it and binge. Usually if u are really having a sugar craving its better to eat something u really enjoy instead of trying to find a healthier or less calorie dense dessert, because youll probably binge eat, from experience… The chocolate in question, if it’s dark, like 85% ou 90% sometimes I eat everyday, 1 to 2 squares and u feel great. I just eat milk chocolate if Im really craving it… Normally I eat fruits but if I still want to eat some sugary food I tend to eat it! No restrictions!! If u have any other questions, feel free to ask!

I'm tired of people going "1200 is the tdee of a toddler, and older kids are supposed to eat even more, so that intake is always disordered!" because like. Honey I'm 5'1", I have pcos, and work a desk job. I'm not running around like a toddler, and I don't need the energy to grow that a todder does! I would hope the average 12 year old is eating more than me because they're starting to enter puberty, need it for proper development, and also are probably more physically active than I am. Even at 1200/day I don't lose more than 1-2 lb per week without adding intentional movement/exercise. edit: btw, yes! slurping noodles does have a scientific reason! you pull air to the back of your mouth, which delivers the aromatics to the back of your palate, which is where you experience all of the complex flavors of your food. Your tongue tastes sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and savory, but slurping lets you better experience things like the taste of alliums like garlic and onion, citrus zest, the funk of fermented foods, and all of the other non-taste elements of flavor.

I've lost around 6kg since i've stopped eating gluten (especially wheat) and it forced me to prepare everything on my own. I still have big sugar cravings but as I'm eating my own pastry I eat less to save it xD I think my new habits made my body recover its original and healthy weight. Especially that I was not searching for any weight loss, it's just now that when I look at old pictures I notice that I used to be more "puffy". Also, eating local food and meat that has well lived without too much stress is better for the body and the mind. The more we can make our food sacred the more we can be more conscious of what we are nurishing ouselves with. Same with TV shows, once you've found a high vibrational content you're more aware of what can brings you low.

Hii, I used to do this a lot too, which caused me to not lose any weight. I reccomend making lunch a heavy meal, and making dinner your lightest meal. This is because you can digest and burn your foods easily earlier in the day. Make sure to eat lots of protein and healthy fats for lunch, to keep you full until dinner. A good day of eating would be something like overnight oats for breakfast, a huge salad with your fav dressing, avocado, and lots of meat, and bread+soup for dinner. Also if you want dessert, find any low cal recipes online bc those taste rlly good. Hope this helps! :))
@PescadoPerson21
@PescadoPerson21 2 месяца назад
You should figure out whats causing you to go overboard for dinner. If its because you're really hungry and have cravings then you might need incorporate more nutrients, fiber, and protein into your meals. Your lunch might not be doing you justice and it's better if you try to eat more protein and veggies instead of something like a snack such as yogurt. It will keep you fuller and prevent you from going overboard for dinner time. Try drinking 8 cups of water a day if you aren't already doing so. You can also try swapping your meals. If you don't eat much for breakfast, you can eat something light like your yogurt. For lunch it's better to add something more savory and fulling like meat, or seafood and some veggies if you'd like. Soups are really good for any meal as well.

I still would like to lose at least 10 pounds. My favorite food swap is to have a delicious oat latte instead of breakfast. I go very light on spreads and sauces. And I try to bulk up every meal with vegetables. As a rule I avoid alcohol because I don't think it's worth the calories and it's also bad for you. I also have a theory that the body does better with sugary snacks than it does with high-fat sugary snacks. So if you need something sweet it's better to eat marshmallows than it is a chocolate bar, for example. I also eat much less cheese and dairy than I used to because in some people (I am one of them) dairy can have a strong hormonal effect on weight.

Three BIG reasons why somebody has problems with eating healthy: 1. Educated frustration eating disorder. ("Eat sweets to ignore frustration / sadness / pain!" ) I'm German and it's veeeery common that kids are told, that they are not allowed to cry and if they don't cry, they will get sweets... Very bad habit!! 2. Sugar and flavour enhancer are drugs and it's extremly difficult to get over that... 3. Stress hormones block fat burning and further fat storange

hello, im at exactly at your starting point and would love to get to where you are now! im just a little confused: to lose the weight/fat from 140's to now, did you always eat 1,500 cals? or are you eating 1,500 cals now to maintain your current weight? im not clear on whether me eating in a deficit now means ill ALWAYS have to eat at the deficit to maintain my goal weight??
@lizuwu4527
@lizuwu4527 2 месяца назад
Once you’re at your goal weight you’ll eat at your maintenance calorie amount and that’ll be higher than your deficit calorie intake. It all depends on your BMR which considers your height and weight. It will change as you keep losing weight

mae do you have advice for getting rid of the all-or-nothing mentality when changing your eating? when i go over my calorie limit for the day, i think "i've blown it now, i might as well binge" which makes things even worse. i don't know how to fix this.

1200-1500 calories a day is the average intake for children, please be careful and research, don’t assume you have the same body type definitely calculate mindfully.
@nathalie1010

Super true, the calculator is pretty accurate and a good tool though. Children mainly only need that much because they're pretty active and developing. I'm pretty short and 1200 is a deficit I can do to lose 1lb a week and since I'm not as active nor developing, it's harder to even lose those calories if that makes sense.

I know I shouldn’t be worrying about my age, I’m 11 years old, 135.8 lbs and 4’11. I really want to lose atleast 20 lbs, I’ve been extremely insecure about my body and the way I look. I feel if I lose the 20 pounds I want to lose, I will finally be able to love myself for who I am. Ive tried multiple times to lose weight and the times I did lose weight I always ended up going back to my original weight/ bad habits. I want tips because I’m an extremely picky eater, and sometimes I feel too lazy to workout and I want something that will help me lose weight and it’s easy. I really want to stop overthinking about my weight and how I look but I don’t know how to do it properly. Does anyone have any tips for me?

invest in a sport and stop snacking so much go outside walk or dance to music in your room whatever it is .dont worry about da calories your gonna fuck up your whole childhood lmfao so just enjoy it .if u want something sweet eat watermelon overall just don’t be lazy and go start ,start with one healthy meal a day ,pick which meal lunch dinner breakfast and then when you get used to it or when you do it for a week or two do another meal so you can start with breakfast then lunch then get used to it so dinner .its really easy but people do it the wrong way not knowing they gonna gain the weight back

Little girl get off the internet and go outside and play. You’ll be fine if you focus on playing sports, running around with friends, getting enough sunlight and water. Do not worry about weight loss at your age. Go outside.

Hi baby girl, first of all you are so very young. Weight fluctuates a lot when you're young, it happens to almost everyone! Do not worry about it so much and not think so deeply about it. If you really want to lose the weight, I recommend you join a sport. Any sport will do. Swimming, badminton, volleyball, dancing, even simply walking outside a lot will help to lose weight without making it boring or hard for you. Since you're young, your weight can change easily. Doing just about any physical activity will be helpful. When eating, just try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits if you can. They have the nutrients that will support your body, are tasty, and healthy! To love yourself means doing what will make our bodies and minds happy. Working to love yourself means you already do love yourself enough to want to improve it. Enjoy your childhood as much as you can. If you have questions do just ask 😊❤

im sorry 1200-1500 calories are not enough for most people and will make most very hungry and relapse. that triggers Eds and binging. in thr clinics i went to a lot people lost weight in a slow but steady way with eating 1900-2100 . and could keep it off. having too much of a deficit will make sou gain weight back way too quickly

Some of us are shorter. I’m 5’4”, 129lbs so my maintenance calories right now are 1700 meaning losing weight even just half a pound a week, I need to be just under 1500. Prioritizing lean protein and healthy fruits and vegetables it’s very doable. Making some yummy salmon broccoli and potatoes right now. 😋

One thing I have to ask. So I’m trying to lose weight but I don’t eat a lot, I’ll be lucky to eat 2 times a day and it’s not due to a ed, I just feel full after eating just once. I use to workout a lot but never lost weight either. Now I wanna change how I workout and eat more to see if that’ll help. Is this the route I should go?

1200 calories is enough for a toddler , not an adult 😢
@darrrkangel
@darrrkangel 2 месяца назад
It depends on your height and weight.
@hystericia
@hystericia 2 месяца назад
depends on your weight and height, also toddlers need so many calories because #1 they are growing so rapidly and #2 they are SO active. they’re running around all day long. if you are a 5’3 sedentary normal/lower weight person, 1200 calories MIGHT suit you (not always the case). on the other hand if you’re 5’8 and super active and have a higher body weight, you’ll need significantly more calories. depends on the person. long story short 1200 calories is fine for SOME people

im 6'5 187 at my lowest and most consistent weight 225 at my highest on a dirty bulk for a year 200 at the moment When i was "dieting" (wasnt a diet just how i typically ate) and always maintaining my leanest figure, i just ate one meal a day (before i knew it was omad) coffee and 0 cal energy drinks in the morning, work all day, then end of the day id eat a couple sandwiches and some milk. Simple and easy. On the weekends id devour a huge taco bell meal or a mountain mt mikes pizza..then i wouldnt feel hungry for about 2 days..id also forget to eat at times even now after my dirty bulk i just don't like feeling full...i prefer to drink water and caffeine and maybe some protein...do my whole day and then do a carb load with a cbd gummie cause for me it does help me sleep at night and makes going 24/36/48hrs so easy And it saves money too😂...if theyre gonna raise prices ill just eat less and look hotter😂 Im not cut out for the gymbro 🐴🐔 lifestyle ..i feel quicker, stronger and more badass always in a deficit rather than overindulging..but im also into bodybuilding and sports so it makes it complicated ideally id love to look like a brock or francis ngannou but functionally and aesthetically im better as a randy orton type and id be able to do triathlons, muay thai etc but i also love wrestling too and lifting huge weights but i just cant see me turning into a jumbotron machine running on 4500+ calories and day and carbing up. With my frame and metabolism its too exhausting and it costs a little more always having to refuel
