I'm an og subscriber been watching your journey since idk when lol let's just day a long time. Love you Maya keep doing you and dont hold back. Your an awesome woman may you forever flourish in your endeavors
Heyyy Maya! Great video! I'm a millennial too. My mom and I rent a house together. We spend roughly around $935 on rent and bills combined. That doesn't include money for material things or groceries.
Maya, just to let you know TTC is 3.10 (until March or Apr 1 then 3.20) when using presto, and you get a discount when you transfer to GO, but I don't know if it applies to UP. There are free apps that you can get on the internet that will help you track your spending. I've tracked my expenses for years, so I know where I spend 99.9% of my money. There's always that odd receipt that you don't get or forget. Also, check upexpress website. You might be entitled to a fare discount because you work at the airport. This would save you more money!
I live in Sweden and spend around 334 canadian dollar per week (9725 SEK/month), almost 60% of that is rent and other bills. I’m probably far from the average Swede tho because I’m unable to work so I’m on welfare which mean I’m at the very bottom when it comes to income.
Haha omg babe I know exactly what creamer you’re talking about I use that one and the vanilla ! The vanilla one in the starback dark roast bag coffee is A1
Hi Maya, I just spent an entire week to finish watching all of your videos (almost), and finally got an account to subscribe and comment(don't want to use my real account, LOL). Your videos are really inspiring. I've never been a big fan of RU-vid, but after watching your first few trans vlogs, I got deeply attracted to your humorous style and vast information that I need. I wish I could have watched your videos a few years earlier, it would be a big help for my confusions. I've been finally taking baby steps recently, I just took an initial consultation and scheduled an appointment with a psychologist in two weeks. I guess I will finally be able to find out if or how far should I go down this transition road. (FYI, I'm also in Canada, but on the west coast) PS. Also wondering how much money do you need each month for transition?
I live in Toronto too and cook a lot at home, although i find restaurants are not too expensive here compared to other cities. Lunch out in the financial district where I work is not cheap though. That coke was so expensive though yikes! We have a rabbi near where I live but no 711 or Circle K, I bet I save money because of that.
What do you do for a living besides working part-time as a bartender? Also, I need to stop spending money on food its my biggest flaw LOL You also mentioned student loans? Where did you go to college/get your degree in? Love you Maya!
Originally I was full-time bartending but started dedicating more time in the past few months to RU-vid/Instagram and streaming! I make just enough from ad revenue/sponsored content to fill in the extra few bar shifts I’m not working. For school I went to Ryerson University and got a BFA in film with specialties in screenwriting and editing. Oh! I’m also an actress as well (when I can find a role)! You can check out my short film on Vimeo called “For Nona Anna”.
Wow! My husband and I live on 100.00 a week, eat out two or three times a week and spend less on gas than what transit costs. I guess it is expensive there.
I absolutely love following you. I love your personality! I would never have known you were transgender . I only see a female. I love seeing your vegan diet and recipes. ❤
Income and expense statements are great tools. One thing you should consider is to pay yourself every month. Ten percent of what you make goes into a savings account every month. And make sure you can't access it with your debit cards. Also it's good to have an emergency fund set aside equal to at least 2 to 4 months income. So, if you make $2000 a month, for example, you should set aside 4 to 8 thousand dollars in an emergency fund. Great video, Maya. Nice job.
Hi Maya :) I know what you mean, I'm on a disability income - which means I have to account for ever dollar coming in and going out for the current month - It's not easy, But I've figured out a really nice budget system that works really well :) :)
Wow! Very frugal. Doing the math it’s about the same as the average week for people living in major cities in the USA. Of course Canada is expensive but it’s really not horrible. The fact that you can buy healthy food for a decent price is really nice. I wonder if no-frills is similar to Aldi in Europe and the USA? It certainly looks similar. Of course it also looks a lot like Trader Joe’s, in a way. I can’t remember what name it was but there was another chain set up like a cross between Costco and Aldi that specialized in ethnic food but it’s closed now and it was really cheap.
As a straight man, I have to admit you are incredibly beautiful... People who follow me on my pages might hate me for expressing my feelings, but I'll just ignore them...
Geoffrey Draws Comics since I only work away from home part-time it doesn’t make sense for a monthly pass as I live downtown and can walk everywhere else I need to go on my days off 💞 monthly passes are great for avid travelling around the city though and I had them all throughout my undergrad! 🙏🏼
2 questions How do you feel toward people that are at a disadvantage to you i.e. poorer smaller town in group homes 2nd question Have you ever wanted to make videos for yourself to watch when you get more experienced?
I also am from Toronto and have been a Toronto resident all my life . For you, what you need to do is to live your life as who you say you want to be . As they say if it's the Army you want then do so . If it's the Navy you want then do so . If it's the Air force you want then do so . If you want to be a female then do so . Instead of making all these videos , be the woman you spoke of . If you're a single woman maybe your next faze should be choosing your spouse .
Lmao this Viva setup plus presto is such a joke... Completely a revenue grab from fines and not having to give as many paper tickets and this construction up Yonge Street to Newmarket is the worst idea ever... Also you're really pretty.. hopefully they work this shit out soon
@@Mayavhenry That would be discouragement enough for me. But it's best if you stay away from it as much as possible, not altogether. I think it's okay to have at least one guilty pleasure. No body's perfect. So long as you don't ruin your beautiful complexion. Just don't let it hurt you! 😉💛
Extremely healthy eating; puts me to shame, lol... I'm more of a meat and potatoes kinda guy. I wonder what kind of coffee ☕ she likes?... I enjoy a bold mug of Costa Rican, Espresso Roast, or Guatemalan (my 3 favorites so far) - always black.
Thanks for showing all of the ingredients that you used to make your meals from the last presentation. You need a sponsorship from Coca-Cola because $2.02 is mighty expensive.
@@aorio8699 That is true about litre bottles. I guess we should look at cost per can versus litre bottles. That or install a fountain soda dispenser in her place.
What you spend as a millennial in Toronto...? You mean as a well-off millennial right..? I'm a millennial living on the streets in LA. Wanna know what I spend in a day? Usually nothing. I get food bank food. Or whatever the others and I found and pool together. Brown Bag is awesome for what they do for the destitute folks out there 👍 You live the high Life. It doesn't take a college educated, bonafide certafied genius to notice the backgrounds of your videos. You clearly live VERY nicely. Good for you. I don't care much to see you rub it in. But good for you I'ma hit the foil and call it good, so night night Ms Posh. 💋 You do you 👍❤️😀
Why even comment on the video if it bothers you so much. I highly disbelieve she's trying to "rub it in" so theres no need for rudeness. It's unfortunate you live with such conditions but you dont need to try and bring other people down just because they want to talk about how much they spend and how they live. Excuse me if i misread you but it being the internet you can almost never tell the tone of someone's comment.
I hope your significant other knows how lucky he is to have a wonderful person like you. Thank you for sharing your life with us! Also, do you think about setting aside some percent, say 5% or even 10% right off the top for savings? It's easy to forget about that at your young age, but as a recent retiree, I'm glad I did, though I didn't save a penny at your age. I sincerely hope your BA proves to be a springboard to a more fulfilling career. You certainly deserve it!
Hii Maya. I Like You! I'm boy but not a gay. I'm very feminine tho. eheehee. You look so beautiful as a trans woman. Maybe more than Blair White. Do u know she
