Love the videos and starting to do more as a Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant. I remember traveling and it seems like it has become much more expensive since COVID especially with housing. I was considering going into travel therapy again but I'm on the fence because of the cost of living.

All the expenses are reasonable, except the rent. Really thought that the rent would be less than half of that, or less than $1k a month for Indy. Not sure what your impression of Indianapolis was, but having originally grown up in Indiana, don't have many positive things to say about it. But can understand taking a travelling position there, they have to pay well to attract Nurses . It's just not a place people want to go to. VT247

It was really difficult to find an apartment in a decent area for affordable rent. I'm not going to rent a room in someone's house. That's just not my style. Short term rentals have gotten really pricey everywhere. The rent includes furniture and utilities. I wish it was cheaper but that's just the market right now. I was able to find cheaper housing at my next assignment so I'm happy about that!

Indianapolis has become ridiculously overpriced. It's largely due to out of state investors inflating prices. I hate it here but simultaneously don't want to leave because prices are far worse elsewhere

Can you go over everything strike contracts? Your opinions, suggestions, etc. Do strike contracts look bad on your resume?

Strike contracts do not look bad on your resume. You are more likely to get cancelled with a strike contract though.

Travel nurse here from St. Louis! I’m starting my first assignment in Iowa and I’m excited! Where did you work in St. Louis?

Do you recommend becoming a nurse? I want to but scared of seeing people say stay away but there's so many options too besides bedside.

If it's your passion then don't let anyone deter you from that! The great thing about nursing is there is a lot of different avenues you can go with your degree. I personally hated bedside nursing and got out as quickly as I could. I much prefer outpatient. It never hurts to have a nursing degree and you can do other things down the road when you are older.
