I think this is most probable- kinda like what they did in the ballad of songbirds and snakes a provide a 'mentor' from the Capitol

I'm writing a fanfiction where this is the case, a new Victor from district 10 is sent to mentor district 11 since they didn't have one of their own

Katniss didn't really need sponsors. The only time she was ever in need for a sponsor was for peeta (blood poisoning). Katniss is very resilent and is able to hunt really well. Finding food in the woods is the least of katniss's problems as she is very good at hunting. Some may say that katniss is better fed when she's in the arena rather than when shes at home (district 12). This is because, although the peacekeepers turn a blind eye about katniss going to the woods, she still has to make sure that she doesn't over stay her welcome in the woods, as she could be caught by the capital as hunting in the woods is illegal and is punishable by being turned into an avox. Katniss is able to live in the woods for years on end without a problem. Remember in catching fire (the book), katniss even thought about running away to the woods with her family, peeta ,gale and haymitch and had stated that she could survive in the woods for years on end as finding food would not be a problem as she is very familar with the woods and can hunt extremely well. As well as this, what i meant by katniss being resilent is that as well as hunting, katniss is very knowledgeable about plants as she would know which ones are poisonouse and which ones are safe to eat. In terms of resilence, the biggest killer a tribute can face in the arena is infection. Katniss having a mum that deals with medical problems on a daily for example, treating wounds and injuries has probably picked up on ways of preventing infection. If katniss was to ever get injured in the arena she would know how to prevent an infection. In conclusion, i think katniss would have still survived even without any sponsors. Like mentioned in the other videos "the odds were in katniss's favour" as the arena was the "woods" something that katniss is more than familar with as she spent most of her life hunting and being around nature. Yes, you could argue that the sponsors did make katniss's life easier in the arena but she would have still survived regardless of sponsors.

She could possibly build her own bow as Gale said earlier. Katniss is smart and probably would’ve found another way. Even if she didn’t die, she would still be effected by the venom.

It depends on how she won it. If she used the same method of Haymitch the same would have happened to her family. But if she won it the traditional way.. idk

Than for the third quarter quell, Katniss or Maysilee would have to go in, but Peeta would be no exception as he's the only male living district 12 victor. But based off how Katniss and Maysilee had a sibling they'd do anything to protect, both of them probably wouldn't volunteer for the other for very selfish reasons. But that's more directed to Maysilee as now she and her sister are grown women now and Katniss is relatively young and doesn't deserve to endure the harsh reality of the dystopian world they live in.

@@lovelykitty42 what Maysilee could do is use the poison from her darts to taint the blade of the deceased Haymitch's knife with the lethal substance against the district 1 female he originally fought. Because she was a formidable opponent who almost defeated Haymitch if he wasn't smart to weaponize the forcefield against her. Because if anyone read Catching Fire, the dialogue described her as "being bigger than Haymitch, and just as fast". Plus even though Haymitch dealt heavy damage on her with his knife, the district 1 female almost disembowel him as an axe is a superior weapon to a knife. So with the poisoned knife, all Maysilee has to do is be fast enough to dodge the attacks of her larger and more menacing career counterpart, and get one clean cut and let the poison do its work the same way it did when she saved Haymitch from the district 1 or 2 boy who almost killed him. And based off how smart she was to use the resources of a deadly arena to her advantage, Maysilee would've most likely done what I just said.

This theory could also become a several part series if you wanted considering there are many factors as to what could happen. Like the fact that Maysilee was the original owner of the Mockingjay pin so Katniss might not have had it as a token. There’s just a lot that could happen because Maysilee’s death impacted Mrs Everdeen and Mrs Undersee greatly.

@@Darbie911 Yeah, I think that if Katniss had shot Seneca, Snow would have made her pedestal explode. Or if they decide not to do that, then they would definitely torture that tribute in the arena. Either way, they definitely wouldn't win the games...

PhoenixSword24 In the new prequel book it brings up the answer to op question not with a game maker but it gives a good example of what happens to any tribute the hurts a capital citizen or try’s to escape. It’s a good book almost finished it.

She would be made an example of. When the countdown to the games start, her tracker would detonate and kill her. They would say that the capital knows everything or explain slightly what happened

That's a film only question. In the books Marvel did not throw any spear. Also Katniss could not embrace Rue before Rue got stabbed, because Marvel stabbed (not throwing) the spear in Rue's stomach seconds before Katniss arrived in the clearing , I think because he heard Katniss coming, thought he had time enough and decided he did not need Rue to be longer alive. Marvel had not even time to pull the spear back before Katniss' arrow pentrated his throat (not his chest is in the film).

Prim didn’t seem too worried about being reaped for the Quarter Quell so I reckon you can avoid it. But district 1 and 2 would go through the kids pretty quickly because there are so many volunteers.

Probably because Snow realised it's more effective to keep the family alive and have that threat hanging over the victor's head. He couldn't force Haymitch or Johanna into anything anymore because they didn't have any loved ones left, which is a waste of a victor for him (especially with Haymitch being a Quarter Quell victor).
