What if in the world between worlds, when Anakin was in there with Ahsoka, he ended up walking with her, passing different gateways of moments in his life as he discussed his time as a Jedi, and what if he stopped to look at one, perhaps the moment he jumped over obi-wan on mustafar, or even the moment he went to stop sidious and mace, he pulled himself out of the portal like Ezra did to Ahsoka, and had a serious talk with him. Told him to not make the mistakes he was about to make, and show him the future of his choices right there in that moment.
Heck, even taking him back to episode 2 and revealing to him who Palpatine was and that he’s the reason behind Padme’s attempts of termination. What if he went back to the portal where Qui-Gon fought Maul and maybe force pushed maul off the ledge so Qui-Gon had a split second to strike him down for good? The world between worlds poses many scenarios like this which are just as if not even less far fetched than the Ahsoka and Vader battle where Ezra pulled her out. To me, I see the ability to change any event in history.
Why not Anakin to save himself and his wife and the galaxy in one swift move. The only rule was, Anakin couldn’t tell anyone, as it would drastically cause a major crack in the timeline and cause Palpatine to have the unknown on his side, whereas right now, Anakin knows how things will end if he messes up and caves to his fears of losing padme. So he can’t tell anyone.
If Anakin had done this, he would have made sure the Anakin of the past never turns to the dark side, and informs him that it’s his own dark deeds that resulted in padme passing on without him. I believe if he did this, he’d send Anakin back to his timeline and the events of the galaxy would forever be changed. Anakin wouldn’t ever succumb to the darkside i nthe hopes of saving padme, he would stay in the light as a Jedi, and Palpatine would fail in his plans of turning Anakin to the darkside. He would probably have to recruit Maul again as Order 66 wouldn’t happen until possibly later, but even if it would, the Jedi would have to be entirely scattered due to the clone wars, and even then, Anakin and Obi-Wan as a team would be very formidable. I believe Anakin would rise to be the savior and Ahsoka would eventually fight Maul in the Siege of Mandalore like she was going to, and Anakin would go to save Palpatine, knowing that Palpatine was playing both sides of the war. In secret, Palpatine had already recruited Maul at this point, and was waiting to see which apprentice would take the spot of rule of two. He had noticed Anakin was no longer the same enthusiastic boy he had coaxed him into being, like a loving uncle. Palpatine could sense Anakin’s defiance and when Ani wouldn’t show signs of distress over his nightmares of Padme, Sidious would feel the calmness in him. I believe he’d do anything to make Anakin shaky, even as much as hiding Padme with droids who take her away, and forcing him to turn to the dark side. I can see Palpatine doing some forceful stuff like that, always using Padme as the bait because he knows Anakin will jump for it. But, the lesson in the world between worlds teaches Anakin that he knows what will happen if he turns to the dark side, so it’s almost the opposite now, where Anakin will refuse anything to do with the dark side in order to save padme.
Anakin eventually is told by Palpatine that he’s the sith lord, and he uses this moment to not just tell Mace Windu, but the entire Jedi Council through a emergency holo message to everyone, including Yoda and Obi-Wan. They would all rush back and apprehend the chancellor, and Anakin would do exactly what Mace would inevitably order him to do, which is to not get involved. Anakin would do just this, he would stay in the council chambers upon the return of all the Jedi ready to arrest Palpatine.
Sidious would be defeated by Mace and Yoda, as many Jedi Masters die in the attempt. Palpatine is taken in to the senate for questioning, where he is found guilty as the Jedi had recording devices with them to show proof to the senates which are bought by Sidious.
