They did not want Kobe getting his 6th ring to tie MJ because the debate would be even higher. Sucks Kobe did not have a roster to end his career where he could compete for 1 more.
Facts. But the debate would be rediculous by 2022 just imagine this scenario. Cp3 goes with Lakers they win. Kobe has 6. Fast forward Kobe retires, LeBron 3-6 in finals signs with Lakers 2018 3peats with Ad then retires now LeBron is 6-6 in the finals. Now we officially would have 3 goats. But we live in a world where people will kill just to make sure theirs only one person at the number one spot
@@grnmo-6540 yep, bad deal for the hornets. By then no one wants to see them because no star power, then no one wants to buy that team thus missing out more money for the league.
Kobe spent practically half his Career with a subpar roster lol.. after shaq left there has been like 5-6 years of having a shitty roster, then after Pau left, he had a shitty roster.. which is why he would've been better off getting traded if he wanted to chase that 6th ring.
You forgot that because Paul is on the Lakers, Mario Hezonja averages 370 points and 4000 assists per game, the Magic win the 2016 Finals and Hezonja is crowned MVP of all time
@@rustybuckets he would have learned how to handle pressure earlier but he had to learn on his own. It took him til 2012 to finally figure it out against bosten. We he dropped 45
Almost every What if scenario that Ive ever watched that changes the NBA landscape between 2010 -2016 have the OKC Thunder winning at least one championship (From a die hard thunder fan lol)
That team would've imploded; - Paul would be flipping out on Dwight about missing freethrows like DeAndre does. - He and Kobe would've been arguing all the time about ball movement vs taking bad shots. - And all those coaches that they ran through during that stretch wouldn't have helped them either. Paul's personality wouldn't have meshed well with Dwight. There may have been hope between he and Kobe bcuz both are ultra-competitive and want to win, but if Kobe was chucking and the end results were lots of losses, things would've gotten testy quick. Still though, considering the Nash & Dwight era didn't bare any real fruits that may have still brought better returns at least.
Nellio Clark Clint Capela and James Harden. Harden is more ball dominant than Kobe and Capela sucks at free throws. And guess who’d be the coach... Mike D’antoni. That team would basically be the Rockets with Kobe instead of Harden, so better
Bullshit. Kobe and CP3 wants to win it all and would have made the adjustments. Kobe is the first option and face of the franchise and CP3 is the second option and use the full potential of everyone else on the team. Kobe main problem was always that he simply couldn't work with people that didn't want it as bad as himself. Would they fight often? SURE but the fact that CP3 would let Kobe be the main guy would be why they would have made the distance.
LIGHTNING AND FIRE idk. This was the first what if ive ever made. Far from my best work. The opposite in fact. Check out my other what ifs for better content
LIGHTNING AND FIRE Simple. Kobe was old back then so injury is...you know it. Like Mj when he was on the Wizard, he only played 60 and start 35 games in the 02-03 season also because of injury so once again...you know it.
bruh this would’ve been litt asf if happened bc instead of the warriors dominating the league it would of been exciting with multiple teams competing like the heat, lakers, okc, bulls, kings and more teams on the horizon like pelicans have a bright future wit Ben and Joel and the Sixers with Giannis and Porzingis. damn the league would’ve been much more exciting
Kevin Durant a free agent and can sign where ever he wants what you mean they allowed him to go to Warriors Chris Paul was under contract and a player for New Orleans Hornets who was owned by NBA so the commissioner can veto any trade for him Proof you dont know basketball at all Two different situations
Crazy Fast thanks man! I would recommend u check out my other what if video "what if LeBron went to college" quality is much improved from this one and id also recommend subscribing if u haven't yet
2:30 Shouldn’t the Hawks be the 4th seed and the Celtics be the 5th seed? Also, the standings at 17:00 show the Spurs as the 6th seed, not the 3rd seed.
i think what pissed us lakers fans off was the fact the reasons given. hornets actually got more from the trade with the lakers than the clippers. but because it was well known lakers were then gonna try trading bynum and other pieces for dwight the owners specifically the cav's owner didn't want that happening because lebron wade and bosh in miami happened. that's really why it happened. it's not like lakers were giving up nothing for those players. trading pau and lamar our 2nd and 3rd best players for cp3 then bynum who had potential to be better than dwight but was hurt often and also didn't have the drive to do so
Proof you dont know Lakers had no pieces to trade for Dwight Howard Lakers would have gave up Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom to the Hornets to get Chris Paul Chris Paul and old Kobe Bryant and jello knees Andrew Bynum and no bench and Mike Brown head coach was not winning any rings 0
LOL that lakers trade proposal was trash.. no star power, bunch of role players and old guys. The attendance would drop and its just bad for business. POssibly scrapping the team as no owner would want to buy that crap. At least with the clippers trade they get Gordon who was balling that time, and expiring contract in Kaman and future picks especially the 1st round pick from Min.
The Warriors aren’t going from a 73 win team to a 44 win team. Any team with 2015-16 Curry is winning at least 50 games. I understand that Kevin love was a bit worse than Draymond in that 2015-16 season, and that they wouldn’t have David West or Iguodala coming off the bench, but they still had the two splash brothers. They would’ve won like 55 with that team, not a mediocre 44 games.
Iam beast He won't because the 13' Lakers in this "what if" wasn't got much injury as in real life, so Kobe don't have to push himself to play hard at the age of 34 and the bad injury never happen.
how is the 2016 draft disappointing?? Simmons, Murray, Hield, Dunn, Brown, Sabonis, Prince, Valentine, Poeltl* (because you spelled that wrong too) and Chriss (You spelled that wrong too, Jesus dude)
Kobe thrives off ball movement and getting everybody involved and quick 1 on 1 plays. If he had a GOD level IQ teammate they both would thrive. Look at Chris Paul and James Harden. I'm sure everyone agrees Kobe Bryant is better and more talented than Harden. So I believe they would thrive, especially since Paul was pretty much in his prime then
