@@user-ug3xz8lt3q Historically he was couped and briefly replaced by the Roman republic (until France restored his power) so I don’t find it too unrealistic
Thank you! I’m very honoured that you enjoyed my video as you are one of the reasons I started mapping, and I agree that fascism wouldn’t rise due to nobody being angry about Italy not getting enough land after the war
Thanks, although I dont think the 1883 Krakatoa eruption did actually affect Italy that much in real life, although it did affect southern Iberia heavily
@@Batai22 socialism was already highly popular in France during ww1, an allied defeat would cause socialism or communism to rise up so much more. So it's either communism/socialism that will likely take power in France after World War 1
Absolutely fire timeline, i love sitting and watching these types of videos. Theyre creative. Anyways, if you dont mind taking suggestions I'll plop one or two here. "What if the the West Virginian Coal Wars led to a US Civil War?" "What if Bohemia stayed independent from Austria and played a major role in german politics?"
@@Bulbs_Productions Actualy, fascist italy initiate was in good terms with the allies and even tried stopping a fascist coup in Austria to defend it. A pro ally italy is very possible
3:10 south italy was always richer than the north but after the unifcation garibladi and his 1000 criminals stole all the money destroyed villages r4ped women destroyed factories and led to mas emigration that in now the reason why many italian are not in italy . there are more than 6 million sicilians that live outside sicily because they were forced to leave thanks to the unification that led to the creation of the mafia and the crime famelies
I think this is implied that Austrian influence really hinders South Italian economy in this timeline by empowering landlords at the expense of industrialization, allowing the! North to catch up.
That's not true, even before the unification Southern Italy was poorer than the North. Regions like Sicily, Calabria and Apulia were characterized by great social and economic disparieties. The economy was reliant on mere agriculture, industrialization was heavily lacking. It's true that the unification widened the gap with Northern Italy, buy it's not very difficult to understand that in a moment or in another Southern Italy had to get rid of the landowners system and its agricultural policies in order to evolve and compete with the others. Therefore, saying that Southern Italy only suffered from Italy's unification is wrong.
@@davcam7032 amigo thats no true the south had the gold reservers and they were the first to male a train track in italy first to start recycling and had the biggest atlantic ship that sent people from naples to amerca
@@Herobrineminecraft-return Ofc what I said is true, and with all due respect, everything you said has no importance. Do you think that Naples and Palermo were the only cities of Italy with treasures and that northern and central italians cities didn't own such richies? Panama owns a canal that is crucial to the global economy, are people from Panama rich? I could make tens of similar examples to that, so if the first train track was built in Naples that doesn't automatically make the Neapoltian people rich, and that doesn't change the fact that Southern Italians lived unfortunatly in very poor conditions. The élite was rich, the people had nothing to eat, as I said the socio-economic disparieties were huge, thus they migrated to the USA. The same Florio family you mentioned is an example of that.
@@Poisson-désespérant and they got it by helping Sardinia Piedmont in the 2nd Italian war of independence, which they didn’t participate in in this timeline
Well you see, there is this unique thing called reading, where someone is able to pay attention to the video rather than only care about the visuals. If you had read the events on the right you would know that due to Italy have more steel and being less overconfident they wouldnt get ambushed by ethiopian forces and would be fully prepared to fight them
@@Bulbs_Productions i get it but it's just don't make sense to me they miss so much valuable land in north but end up much stronger yea maybe beating Ethiopia is ok but austria hungary and south italy is too much
9:50 again the north south devide would not have existed if it wasnt for the unifaction in italy alost anyone didnt want the unification, the kindom of savoy that was falling into economic debth decided to recruit garbardi that was a french peruvian bandit wich had the tips of his ears cut off for his crimes committed in south amerca, he didnt even spoke italian well , he was given 1000 criminals taked from prison and savoy in accordation with the currupted ministers of two siciles managed to land in sicily every knowed about this but no one did nothing to stop there were some fight but unfurtunaly garibaldi conquered sicily destroying everyting wich came in his way, when italy united they stole all the money and put super hight taxes that to this day make south italy and sicily poor and colony of the north
@@Bulbs_Productions like the stuff they write in books is a fake tale that was made by the savoyards dinasty back in the past when they colonized the south, like there thousent of books and movies and tv programs and documentaries that talk about this , and if you go in south italy or sicily and ask about garibaldi 7 italians out of 10 agree with me that garibaldi was a criminal
