I really like how you give context for what if’s. It really sets the stage for what will happen, and I am an absolute history lover. In my opinion, to answer a “what-if” question, you have to answer the questions “how and why did (something) happen” and “why and how did (historical change) happen?”. If you don’t ask and answer these questions, then the what-if question is harder to answer.

Stakuyi one thing about the history of the ottomans. Sultan abdulhamid was purged away before 1910 by the young turks and he was on the way of uniting the empire which was fragmenting by nationalism. If he had stayed in power a united ottoman empire may have won the war but more likely would have not even participiated in ww1 because it only participated because of enver pasha who let german ships to bomb russian ports trough the bosphorus and supplied them with the ottoman flags to force the rest of the pashas who did not want to participate to go into war

If I could have watched these vids back in school, I would have rocked in History class. I didn't really like history back in the day, but I enjoy it now. Plus, we mixin it with gaming, which makes it more fun.

As the majority of the results of this would be largely historical, with the exception of the sultanate, the Russian states and the Raj in particular, would you consider a continuation scenario of this? E.g. India, having less risk of famines, then rising against the British and perhaps forming that scenarios version of the soviet state (i.e. major communist bloc.), would the warsaw uprising still occur, no italo-ethiopian war given the altered ottoman peace deal. There's plenty of room for interpretation in the aftermath of these videos and that is one of the reasons I enjoy them so much.

I'd like to see another challenge video. I don't know the game well enough for a good challenge, maybe try to survive as Poland in WW2?

I have a few WWII ideas for you: What if Germany wanted to reconquer lost territories from WWI (both German & Austro-Hungarian lost territories) and not do whatever the "mustache man" originally wanted to do? Would they puppet the nations directly involved in their defeat in WWI? What if Ataturk (the president of Turkey in 1936 I believe) had the ambition build a new better Ottoman empire? Would Turkey be able to retake any lost territory in the middle east & north Africa at the very least? What if Greece was able to fix all of their problems (and they had a lot, from massive debts to political instability), would they be able to realize the "Megali idea" (which I believe was the plan to retake all lands in the balkans & Turkey where Greeks lived) or even take the whole anatolian peninsula? I think there's an historical fact about the last Roman emperor giving the rights to the Roman throne to the Spanish, let's say Franco had the ambition to build his own Roman empire (I know Spain can't form the Roman empire in HoI4), would he be able to actually do that? Would he ally with Italy for such plan? What would be the most realistic gains for Franco in this scenario?

Suggestion: not sure how viable these two might be but... for WWI, what is a scenario where the German empire may have succeeded? (never seen a detailed coverage of the Kaiser mod background, so i'm not sure if they hand waved it away or made a history for the scenario) As for WWII, what if appeasement continued with/after Poland, what might have been a trigger for war after that and how much more time would Germany have to build up?
