In Star Wars The Revenge of the Sith, what would have happened if Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu arrested Palpatine instead of the events that took place? What happens to Obi-Wan Kenobi? Yoda? The Jedi Order and Council in its entirety?
For the dark ending, I like the latter, although a jedi rebellion would now be possible as they weren't all killed by order 66, so that would be cool to do a story on. I personally would like to see a light side ending as well.
Star Wars Theory I,n my opinion the Jedi win the trial with sideois is out raged and attacks everyone anakin and made run for him but the palpatene would send anakin flying and kills mace but yoda comes and how do you think this ending would end? From here??
What if during Mace flying out the windu he shouts "Palpatine loves sand!" and then Anakin with pure rage ignites Palpatine in flames and he wins Star Wars?
Here’s my version: Palpatine: “I have the power to save Padme!” Anakin: “If that power exists, won’t it be in the Jedi archives?” Mace: “Oh yeah, why didn’t I think of that?” Palpatine: “...” Anakin: “Okay, you can kill him.” Palpatine: “Wait-“ *Palpatine dies, everyone else lives, the end.*
No I think Palpatine stated in ROTS that it was only sith knowledge? I think Palpatine is referencing his old master's work, unless he's just completely lying to Anakin
@@nightpandas7178 even if it was sith-exclusive knowledge, it’d still be obtainable by the jedi. Besides, force-healing is something they’d have had looked into before.
honestly windu should have said. "if palpatine was the one who orchestraed the war he is most likely the one who targeted padme as well" that completely nullifies the good grace anakin has for the emperor
But since they can't proove it. The link is this : Jango Fett(dead) was hired to kill Padmé, by Dooku(dead and Former Jedi), on behalf of Sidious. Jango was also used as the template for the clones. Having a BH isn't that troubling, but also, there is room for speculation - as great as Fett is, why is it that he's being paid by both sides? There are also non-clone military personnel in the GAR. The lack of proof would be dire to both the Jedi and Anakin's fading trust in them.
Mace: you are under arrest my lord Anakin: I NEED HIM Mace: he need to be killed he wanted Padme to be killed and he started the clone wars Anakin: oh... kill him then
Mace: If you let me do this one thing, I grant you one request in return. Whatever it is. Anakin: Let me publicly marry Senator Amidala and give her the needed medical support she needs for our chilren Mace: A suspiciously specific requiest but okay. DIRECTED BY GEORGE LUCAS
He gets Butt hurt she doesn't like him and tries to become the strongest Jedi ever. Becomes corrupted by Palatine by his thirst for power... basically he becomes a meninist
I mean, that's pretty much the whole flaw though, right? Anakin: Oh no, I'm having premonitions that my mother will die!" Jedi: "Calm down Anakin! Besides, who cares if she dies, abandon all emotional attachment as a teenager because that's healthy and definitely won't lead you to become unstable after bottling up your emotions for years while we constantly berate your concern for those you care about."
Or... here’s the most ideal path. Mace Windu and Anakin win the trials, Palpatine goes to prison. Order 66 never happens, neither does Mustafar. For his role in stopping Palpatine, Anakin gets the rank of Master. The Separatists are the only threat now.
The most ideal path is palpatine manages to flee to the outer rim and fully take command over the separatist armies as a “disgraced” chancellor pumping battledroid production through the roof and trying to win the war using brute force which means an extended clone wars
Pretty sure Order 66 would still happen. Yes, palpatine 'triggered' Order 66, but I highly doubt someone of his cunning would not have a fail-safe in mind if something would happen to him. He had failsafes which got implemented upon his downfall as Emperor after Return of the Jedi. It stands to reason Order 66 would activate. Although this would not result in the total annihilation of the Jedi Order, it would certainly deliver a decisive blow, and possibly giving the Seperatists the momentum they needed to attain victory.
Ya I know right like what if they just arrested him with no deaths come on man. Then the only real loss in Revenge of the Sith would be General Grievous and Count Dooku.
Anakin saw no difference between sith and Jedi. Palpatine allowed Dooku’s death even though he was unarmed. Mace was about to kill Palpatine even though they could have arrested him. He cared more about padme, that’s where Palpatine manipulated him and won.
I mean they knew he was a Sith Lord but as explained during the Fan Fic it wasn't really a crime. They just needed proof that Palpatine started the war.
It's funny, because no matter what anakin's emotions always turn him to the dark side, but he almost always fulfills the prophecy too by bringing balance to the force. Just not in the way the jedi intended.
Yeah but everytime I watch revenge of the sith particularly anakin up close it's because he listened to his bad dreams and didn't listen to Yoda when he told anakin to let go of his emotions his fear his bad dreams were showing him what was gonna happen because of his actions he thought doing something would save her and if he had done nothing and put aside his fear like yoda said none of that would've happened
@Angelo Bruno lol force people to be slaves? destroying the wookies home world, no freedom of speech means the empire is good? at least the jedi and the republic didnt stop protest or freedom of speech lol
I feel like Anakin wouldn't have taken over Palpatine's role as the empire. Feels like he would've actually became a sad mess with no one to blame other than himself he would have probably tried to seek out Yoda or Obi-Wan to get some guidance allowing the Empire to fall into chaos
@Shayan the Emperor was elected from the Senate. Anakin can't mind control everyone to obey him. Chances are some Core World human senator takes over and we see a centralized, militaristic, likely humanocentric and probably authoritarian Republic at the end of the war
Nah. Darth Vader before the suit was A LOT more powerful than the one after. He'd been able to eliminate Palpatine, and he would - to save his family. That might bring out the dark side in him, but with nothing more to fear, Padme's love would save him. Like Luke's love did decades later.
jar jar: WEESA FOUND DA SECRET PLAN! judge: uh huh C3PO: we found a secret protocol, but unfortunately I am forbidden from translating it because it is written in the language of the sith anakin: I give you permission C3PO: well in that case (eyes go red) ORDER 66. UPON EXECUTING THIS COMMAND, ALL CLONES WILL MURDER THE JEDI NO MATTER THE SITUATION. sheeves: ... uhh may I make a phone call? judge: ... yea you committed so many war crimes! that is not happening!
Palpatine had, after Anakin ran off, turned off the security cameras, but left the security microphones on. He knew what was coming. Then, after he had made his cry for help, he used the force to turn the devices off (that's when he smiled and winked).
Palpatine: *hires Phoenix Wright to defend him in court* Judge 3 days later: So, Mace Windu was the Sith Lord all this time! Windu, breaking down: YES, IT WAS ME! ... wait, how did this happen...
@@blacklivesorblackvotes2985 Darth Maul would likely put up a long fight, unless he already perished in his fight with Obi-Wan on Tatooine (like in Star Wars Rebels)
I like the thought, that anakin didn't just choke and electrocute palpatine but somehow unlocked a force ability that just straight up burns him on the spot.
+Swaggy Mc.Daddy Option A is probably the most likely to happen, but it would still be hard time for both CIS and the Republic. Since a true cooperation would hurt Palpatine's planning, so the time up wouldn't be as efficient as many could think. But overall, i do think that the galaxy would defeat the Yuuzhan Vong, but only after a long time and with heavy damage/casualties. Even more interesting, is what will happen *after* the invasion, like it would even be possible create the Galactic Empire at that point, even when the entire galaxy at large would be very weakened?
Yeah, Luke took a 4 sec blast, several 1 sec blasts, and 2 20 sec blasts before Vader grabbed him. I bet the children would die, but Padme would survive. Anakin would still be really mad that his kids were killed, though.
@@alexanderkilburg7415 this assumed the children are with Padme when he meets Palpatine. Wouldn't they be I dunno beingg taken care of a Senatorial handmaiden or something? And yes Padme survives lol Anakin blocks the force lightning
@@Warsie I was thinking they would be in the womb, but I guess since that much time has passed, she would have given birth probably months before. The trials alone would take several days, at least.
It's like you don't know Anakin at all😂 He saw Palpatine throw lightning at Windu and still thought that the Jedi were wrong. He may be the strongest Jedi/Sith but he isn't the best at analysing situations calmly.
@@ganeshravinath1448 He didn't think the Jedi were wrong, he just didn't care about anything but saving Padme. He said so himself in the movie. Then, when he pledged himself to the dark side and immersed himself in it, he stopped caring about right and wrong altogether. And of course he wouldn't bring his family. His visions were about death in childbirth. In this scenario, his vision is proved false. Now he knows Palpatine was full of bullshit; he didn't need the dark side, and so he knows the only danger to his family is the Sith Lord himself. So, yeah, he definitely wouldn't bring them.
@@ganeshravinath1448 lol of course he knew that Palpatine was bad, but Mace wasn't far behind, Anakin considered the Jedi bad for their indifference in helping him and for inconsistencies he saw during his time with them, so for him they were both bad, but at least one of them was willing to help him
It may not be as straightforward as you think. Just earlier today I saw people talking about how Palpatine didn't actually lose to Mace Windu, but feigned weakness to get Anakin's sympathies.
“A surprise, to be sure. But a welcomed one” “The senate will *cough* uh its disgusting. Blah, the senate will decide you fate” “It’s treason the-*ploop* -...sorry I had Taco Bell”
Jack Mehoff yea and he cut his arm off by mistake.. sort of... Palpetine actually killed him... That's what makes it all so sad.... That what have I done line is sad asf...
What if only mace and Anakin only went to palptine office, what if Ashoka never got put in trial or what if Anakin killed palatine when he first accused him for being the sith lord
With how this ended up I feel like you heavily overlooked what the Jedi would've done as the empire formed They would've most likely joined the rebellion if things got too crazy And, while Anakin was able to kill most Jedi In this alternative ending all the Jedi masters are still alive. Plus the little detail of how they resolved the war
this shows how insane palpatine is he's literally willing to die so the sith can live on also if windu was smart he would have a secret security camera for proof.
The sith would of ended there and Anakin would of been the greatest Jedi master ever' if it wasn't for the Jedi counsels horrible choices they made with anakin
Anakin wins with amazing and incredible ease. By now, there are simply too many midi-chlorians involved when it comes to Anakin at this age. The midi-chlorian count by now has reached a staggering level unlike anything that has ever been seen before. Anakin has become the most powerful and enlightened being in all the galaxy by far, and is now literally immortal. Palpatine turns out to be shockingly weak and pathetic by comparison. Palpatine's feeble skills are no match for the limitless power that the now immortal Anakin wields, effortlessly. The evil is completely driven from Palpatine. never to return. Palpatine will never again even remotely be able to tap into the dark side of the force, nor will he ever have the desire to do so. It takes a little more time, but eventually Anakin becomes so powerful that he completely neutralizes the dark side of the force, anywhere and everywhere it is found in the galaxy. What was once the terrifying and dreadfully powerful dark side of the force has been rendered harmless and is nowhere to be found.
@@michaelinsomanywords3647 Well apparently Jedi have reaction times of under 25 milliseconds so I doubt Palpatine could do anything without getting stabbed. I mean I don't agree with Jedi being that fast but apparently they are for some reason!
In revenge of the sith for ps2 there’s a secret last mission where it shows what happens if anakin beat obi wan and avoided the robotics. It’s cool but doesn’t last long
I kind of would like to see Anakin bring balance to the force by trying to get rid of both the Sith and Jedi. Instead marrying Padme and becoming the ruler of the republic.
You'd think star wars taking place in a science fiction setting, there would be cameras everywhere for proof palpatine was the the sith lord hahahahaha
I think a better ending for this would be to have Palpatine assassinate Padme and blame it on the jedi, thus fueling Anakin's hatred for the order and allowing Order 66 to happen. Palpatine would not let the jedi live since part of his main plan was to kill them all and they were still a possible threat to his rule even though they were disgraced.
I would also say Palapatine really had to try to make it look as though Mace was trying to kill him I don't think even Anakin would believe that the Jedi would assassinate Padme.
7:11 a bit late to the party but the jedi would have always been a threat to the empire, the way I'm looking at it Palpatine would still order Anakin to hunt down the remaining Jedi... maybe Palpatine would declare the Jedi order as a terrorist organisation and have a galaxy wide Jedi hunt.
This may sound ludacrist, but how about you make an fan fiction of where Obi-wan follows Quigon example and becomes a Gray Jedi, and then Obi-won trains Anakin as a gray Jedi from the very beginning?? I think something like that will put a HUGE influence on the galaxy it self!!! Please give a thumbs up!! :D
@@sebastianb.3978 Gray jedis are just stupid titles made by weird emo star wars fans, They're pretty much just neutral force users, if you're not light, you're no jedi, if you're not dark, you're no sith, if you're not both, you're just a regular force user
Do the light side winning the trial. That would change a lot of things. Also if Anakin kills Palpatine does he also kill the Jedi? You left their fate ambiguous there Star Wars Theory. One more thing you forgot to put in there the fact that in episode 2 Palpatine said he'd give up his emergency powers one the war was over, and we later learn at the beginning of episode 3 that when General Grievous is destroyed then the war would pretty much be over. Mace could bring that up saying: "You knew from Anakin that Obi-Wan had destroyed Grievous. Why didn't you call the Senate into emergency session to relinquish your powers? Are you trying to become an emperor?" I think then the Courts would realize that Palpatine had deceived everyone from the start and was trying to become emperor by using a former Jedi in Count Dooku to form the Separatist Alliance, Start the Clone Wars, and turn the public's perception at the Jedi from positive to negative so that way when the time came, he could issue Order 66 to all the Clone Commanders and have no real opposition to becoming emperor. The courts would probably get Palpatine on a couple of corruption charges and have him spend the rest of his days in jail. Bail Organa would then be elected the new Chancellor, Padme would give birth to Luke and Leia and not die, Anakin would become a Jedi master, and the Separatists would come back to the Republic since they have no reason to believe that the Republic was corrupt or dysfunctional anymore. The clone army and the droid army would be used to rebuild all that was destroyed during the war and eventually the clones would be retired but not before they trained a bunch of humans to act as the new military for the Republic. And yes the Republic would still need a military because they don't trust the organizations that manufactured the droid army (I.E. Trade Federation, Techno Union, Etc.) to actually shut down and destroy a probably Galactic Senate-mandated 3/4 of the army, with the remaining 1/4 being allowed to remain to defend the organizations that created them from attacks by pirates and the like. Anyway this comment is long enough as is so what do you think of it Star Wars Theory?
I think anakin wouldnt be apart of the jedi council after this unfolds, because even though anakin did his job and found out palpatine was the sith lord, the council would still not allow padme and anakin to marry and at the point anakin would have no choice but to leave the council. Not affecting your story really, just an interesting side note. Afterwards he would probably be like qui gon jinn and help with matters of the council but not actually be apart of it. Or do you think anakins lust for becoming "Master jedi" would be too much and he would fight the council on his proposal to make the exception for him to marry padme? Orrrrrr do you think the council would allow this one exception because it was anakin who found out palpatine was a sith lord?
Taylor Coleman With so much emphasis on Anakin being the chosen one + him having a far greater midi chlorian count than Yoda, Anakin can't just leave the Jedi & go grey. Neither can he just be like Qui Gon Jinn. His destiny includes a lot more. He'd end up a Sith but w/o the tragedy of killing his own wife. The Council didn't want him. He didn't trust them, & he found a gaping hole in their belief system.
Nick Webster that is a great theory but what about Jar Jar Binks I mean he is also responsible for Palpatine's rise to power I doubt Jar Jar would have gotten off scott free.
You are my favorite star wars theory channel! You explain you're theorys really well! And I love the actual theorys. But I have a idea, "If the younglings were saved by Anakin"
Random123 qwertz I think there are a few times in Legends where the Jedi and Sith (or at least small groups of them) have united against a common threat. In those instances, they appear to be powerful allies. However, the cold fact is that their ideological differences will always put them at odds with each other.
Grant Larson this is mace windu we’re talking about. He’s always been one of the more aggressive Jedi and had more radical points of view. I think this would be exactly what the Jedi would need to prove that the senate is corrupt and the Jedi would either start to lead the senate or they would break away from the republic
@@Jetrules231 What are you talking about? Your original stance was for Windu to kill Palpatine and Anakin and then the Senate would, for some reason, find them guilty by default, but now you want the Senate itself on trial and the Jedi as the court? Wth is going on?
Grant Larson I never said anything about anybody being found guilty. I said nobody could prove Mace windus guilt and they could maybe use the chancellor being dead to gain a footing in the senate
MaximumGames it wasn't meant to be one. The writers put the most realistic result. They knew eachothers moved because of such a long time fighting each other, and Maul tried the same move he did on Qui-Gon on Obi-Wan. Obi knew the move so he quickly ended it.
Luke continues unaware of his true potential, and eventually joins the rebellion. Unless... there is a knock at the door one evening. Vader has come for his son.
when palpatine did his lightning on luke it only hurt him and he did it for about 30 second so for padme and the children to die would have taken a few minuts, but he says that anakin saw it so he would have been standing there. why didnt he do something? why did he wait before his family was dead to step in and kill palpatine.
He unleashed dubstep mode (the immense power he uses in TROS) and deafens anakin with a phat bass drop. Padme and the kids are blown to smitherines and cooked in seconds.
But Anakin would swear to kill all evil, and become the ultimate hero, and still have rage, but against the Sith because they were responsible for the death of his family. Why would he turn on the people who had nothing to do with the death of his family??? I think the second theory would have been the happy ending not an alternative to him becoming Darth Vader.
@Leirdo Man64 Yeah but Yoda would not barque his wife and kids. in this theory he would, i do doubt though that Palptine would attack Padme and the kids right in front of Anakin a non robotic one at that. I mean he got his empire, and his apprentice is not planning to overthrow him in fact he is thankful for him saving his wife he might be even the godfather to the kids. So Palptine letting anakin go off to Naboo and be at peace there and not nearby as a possible threat would suit Palpatine quite fine.
True, but Dooku wasn't there when he did it though. I'd be really interested to see this because I think it would be interesting to know what Dooku might have done if Palpatine was killed before his plan could come to fruition
Grevious knew who Palaptine was, and Grevious would never turn against Palpatine. Why would Grevious never turn against Palpatine because Grevious was completely loyal to Palpatine.
I’m pretty sure grievous didn’t know Palpatine and Sideous were the same person. If I remember correctly, when Obi Wan got loose, cut Anakin loose, and they got the upper hand on the bridge of the Invisible Hand, Grievous tried to kill all of them, including Palpatine, by shattering the glass and opening the bridge to the vacuum of space. If he knew Palpatine was Sideous, I doubt he would have done this.
Rick Sanchez well actually nvm they should of made anakin happy so there would be no prequels my mistake *F A M*... Guess that means no original trilogy too but that’s ok ...hey I just realised I wrote prequels instead of sequels and I am disappointed in my sub conscious
