What If Naruto Team 7 Had Hinata Hyuga Instead Of Sakura 

Funny thing is that in canon, Naruto, Sasuke and Hinata are the only three to meet the sons of Kaguya and inherit their power.

Honestly when Naruto asks hinata can she help him with the chakra control i feel like she would have taken the initiative to explain the concept to sasuke as well. I mean she knows that shes in a team and i get that she would have focused on naruto alot but she wouldn't forget that sasuke's there. It's part of her kind nature

For me, it would make more sense since those three are descendants of Hagoromo and Hamura. In the long run, it would make things natural, especially the relationship of Naruto and Hinata later on. I feel that the Hyuga clan has been so sidelined in the series that their clan become less interesting if not for Neji himself. Kakashi once said that the Sharingan was an offshoot from Byakugan and yet the Byakugan gets any attention at all. It's all about the Sharingan and the Uchiha all throughout the series. If Hinata would someday approach Tsunade to become her apprentice, I don't think there would be any problems. Hinata's knowledge of chakra points and her somewhat caring attitude would make her a good medical ninja in the first place. It would make things interesting how Kakashi would train Hinata since he has the Sharingan while Hinata has the Byakugan. A spar between Hinata and Sasuke would also be interesting.

With Hinata, Team 7 = Team Depression. Kakashi; lost all his comrades, wars, PTSD. Naruto; orphan since birth, treated with disdain his whole life. Sasuke; orphan, witnessed his clan being murdered by his brother. Hinata; disowned, thrown away like garbage by her father, crippling shyness, anxiety, and self-confidence issues. Each of them tends to hide or can't properly express their feelings, allowing for great personal growth story arcs. They could comfort and support each other over their pain and loneliness, with Hinata acting as a sort of emotional bridge between her teammates, seeing the pain they try to hide with her kind and perceptive eyes. Even growing close to sasuke, too. Then there's the fact they all descend from otsutsuki. I mean it writes itself at this point. Naruto of the Uzumaki chakra, sasuke of the sharingan, hinata the byakugan princess, and the purple flash Kakashi sensei. I'm sure Hinata would have her "sakura" moments of just being frozen and standing there early on, but with the love of her life facing death, she'd be forced to face her fears and take action. Later on, Naruto goes toad sage bijuu mode, sasuke eternal mangekyou, hinata merges lions fist with medical nin + super strength (and is also pulled into the hagoromo vision for a six paths power up). Series ends with a more natural progression into Naruto Hinata romance. As a bonus, neji lives. Eh. I mean, I can live with the how the story originally played out. I doubt kishimoto really thought too far ahead in the first place. Seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.

Even Masashi Kishimoto admits that Hinata could have been heroine of story than Sakura because of her character traits background and her love for naruto that make her more likable and sympathetic than Sakura

Hinata really needed to be in team 7. If Hinata fights Ino, she would easily win. A one sided win because Ino won't throw a temper tantrum and cut her hair off since she would be on friendly terms with Hinata. So Hinata won't be trapped by the mind transfer jutsu, and proceed to gently defeat Ino. And about Sakura, maybe her teammates and sensei would advise her to forfeit the match. Being the smart girl she is, she would listen and not fight Neji.

So basically, the most balanced/OP team Byakugan can handle tracking Sharingan for combat Jinchuuriki chakra/power for obliterating and endurance

Hinata byakugan and sasukes sharingan and naruto's sensory skills that would the deadliest team in naruto

There's gonna be a lot of funny moments with Hinata in Team 7

I think that most people tend to forget that in canon Hinata only fainted in front of Naruto like 2-4 times, it just became a filler trope for comedic relief and most people tend to compare Hinata to what she did in the fillers because she had no screen time in the main story because she was a side character and y'all have to admit in part 1 Hinata could have beat Sakura with relative ease, however shippuden is a different story Hinata's chances of winning have decreased significantly and if I'm being honest with some of the stuff I've seen the female characters in the show do, it seriously just makes me want to go up to Kishimoto and smack him in the face the. Women in this anime were stripped of their chances of becoming gorgeous, powerful, independent and almost god-like warriors just like the male characters . They had so much potential oh and don't even bother trying to start an argument of 'this one is better than this one' no I will have none of that because I do not believe in bringing one character down just to lift another one up but like yeah my opinion on the topic of the video, now don't go and start calling me a Hinatard and Sakura hater for the things I'm about to say, this is my personal opinion and you don't have to agree with it but I'm pretty sure the story would've been more interesting with Hinata as the main heroine it's because when you look at it, Hinata and Sakura are so different from each other and their views on other people , the ones they admire etc and besides it would introduce us more to the Hyuga clan and Sakura would have been much more fitted for a female sensei because she's a hell of a lot more girly than Hinata and she has a talent for genjutsu which she would have most likely surpassed Kurenai in. and Hinata could have most likely found a father-figure in Kakashi because remember Hiashi made Kurenai Hinata's guardian basically disowning her because in his eyes she was a "lost cause" so if Hinata was on Team 7 Hiashi would've given Hinata to Kakashi and Naruto could help her more on her self-esteem issues because Hinata had a lot of trauma and a lot of pain (caused by her clan), this showing in her hesitation to hurt people, her stuttering and many other things that I just can't think off at the moment and I'm not really sure about Sasuke. I think he would be unimpressed by her shyness and generally indifferent towards her but I do think he would feel insulted that she liked the dead-last loser instead of him and maybe overtime he might grow to be a little protective of her but seeing as this is Sasuke we're talking about, that's highly unlikely but yeah that's it.

First thing Kakashi teach Hinata to do and master is to not faint when Naruto get close to her. Kakashi: You love Naruto don't you. Hinata: Yes um sensei. Kakashi: Ignore your emotions your feelings around Naruto and you wont faints, just keep using the technique to master it.

Just keep Hinata fighting Neji, that was perfect and would even be more perfect if she'd been Narutos team mate.

Answer: It would've been a lot better. Their team would be a lot more op, and a more cooperative and effective team.

If you think about it, i think putting Sakura in team 8 might be a good idea. Since she will face no distractions (Sasuke and Naruto) and has two team members who are supportive and can put people under pressure if they want to, i think Sakura might improve earlier than expected. And you also need to remember that Sakura is a genjutsu type, and is gifted with amazing chakra control, to top it all off she is going to be trained by Kurenai, a fellow genjustu type kunoichi. She is probably would be able to perform a few basic genjustu, and has the ability to use her chakra to 'sense' her surroundings (it make sense given the new team she is in) , she would be more aware and guarded. Heck i think she would be able to transform her chakra similar to what happened after she trained under Tsunade's wing, but in a much smaller scale. Aside from that Sakura is gifted with somewhat above intellegence, but was never used properly in team 7, because of the presence of Sasuke and Naruto, i think she would became more observant and calm, but still hot headed and not hesitate to curse other people who she deemed weird or annoying. No, she would not stand a chance against Neji with what she have during the chunnin exam. However, i think she would be able to hold against him for awhile. And, the obsession with Sasuke! I think it would stay the same. But Sasuke's presence wouldn't stunt her growth as a kunoichi, it probably became a way to encourage her to prove herself to Sasuke that she is indeed strong. That's all i could think of, and is based on my thoughts and opinion alone.

If hinata was in team 7, I guess team 7 will be either feared or known to the 5 great nations since you have members of konoha's most powerful clans together, the Uzumaki, Uchiha and Hyuga clan. Both plus with the Senju clan, these four clans are closely related to the Otsutsuki clan

Given how Yamcha got his own Dragon Ball spin off, there should be a spin off "what if Hinata was on team 7".

I really enjoyed this video and it got me thinking about how much better Sakura would have been in team 8. Firstly, she probably would have become a Genjutsu user and a really good one, I think Kakashi says she seems like a genjutsu type and she would be trained in it by Kurenai, who is as good as Itachi at Genjutsu. However, it would probably take her a while to become a strong ninja like it does in the series. However, I still think she would be more motivated to become a strong ninja, as since she is not in team 7, she would probably try to impress Sasuke with her fighting skills, causing her to train more. Also, on the whole she probably would've been better liked by the fans, as she would get less screen time and therefore less time to be annoying and useless. Thanks for making such a good video!

Yeah, Hinata would've been a better fit for Team 7 than Sakura.

Hinata may be shy but she has some big ass balls on her. For example when Pain came and devastated the leaf village, she went out and tried to do something about it and helped the situation or at least made the attempt in taking Pain on by herself. All the while Sakura was crying in a pile of rocks waiting for Naruto to show up and fix everything.

My opinion Part 1: I think there would he just character development instead of power development. She would be much more open up i think (not that). At first i think Hinata would be really insecure about her byakugan and powers, and since i googled what her chakra element is it said it's Lighting so maybe Kakashi can train her to use Chidori?. But that's actually it, i think Hinata would be a motherly, quiet person instead of the shy girl we had for nearly the whole show. So part 1; hinata got open up and more confident about her abilities, and maybe learn some raiton abilities from Kakashi(as i said maybe even Chidori) Part 2: As sakura learned to be a medic ninja i think Hinata would learn more with her byakugan and be stronger with it (and even maybe surpass Neji or be on the same Level?). However at this point i think she wouldn't be overshadowed like Sakura but be actually in the same spotlight as Naruto (not power-wiss she would be more confident). Overall i would love to see that in the 2 years Hinata would be a good ninja

That's a really good 'what if' you've got so far with Hinata I can't wait to see more of what happens with Hinata through out the storyline as apart of team 7. I find myself curious about acouple of things considering SasuSaku happened (Somehow?) is there any possible chance Sasuke might develop feelings for Hinata cause while shes the only girl who isn't after him an despite hinata favouring Naruto romantically. She's still a caring person an would be kind an caring to Sasuke as she isn't the type of person to play favorites between her team mates. No hate but because of hinatas massive crush on naruto and her fainting\blushing whenever naruto looks in her direction she would've been more annoying plus she's a good tracker which is why she's with kiba and shino. That team 7 version would be been shot and it was Sakura who got naruto to realize his feelings and hook naruhina up in the first place.

Ill post here what I posted in another video, since I HATE sakura and think the show would have been SOO much better with Hinata as the third character in team 7. I don't care as much about how the specific plot would change, but I care about how it fits better with writing conventions, story progression, etc. I think the plot could be almost the same, but it would just flow SOOOOO much better with Hinata in team 7 and Sakura as an unimportant side character. If I were to make a Naruto movie, I would literally cut her from the story since she is unnecessary and adds nothing. Sakura is not only the most shit character in Naruto, she's the most shit character in anime. She's like Joffrey, but unlike Joffrey, you're not supposed to hate her, she's not supposed to be the villain. That's why that hatred we have for Joffrey makes him so great, so much fun, but that same intensity of hatred is also invoked by Sakura but without any of the joy. She's an ugly pink blemish on the Naruto anime, a grotesque waste of my time with no redeeming qualities. Lets go over some of the ways. I won't go over all of them since we'd be here for years. 1: Her looks, she's a PINK FUCKING NINJA. Already this bothers the shit out of me. If all the characters in Naruto had bright fucking anime hair, this wouldn't be as bad, but they don't, most of them are reasonably subdued, but not only is Sakuras hair pink, but her entire fucking outfit is as well. 2: Now the pink hair wouldn't bother me as much as it does....had she been hot, but her design is absolute crap. Her child design was acceptable, but then she does the stupid fucking cliche of cutting her hair (another minus btw) and she ruins that as well. Normally when a girl cuts their hair, they do something with it, but she just kept it pointy and uneven and ugly as fuck. Furthermore her outfit was horrendous, it didn't fit, didn't have a coherent look, and wasn't form fitting, which might have been good since she had the appearance of a plank of wood, having neither ass, tits, or hips. 3: Despite looking like a homosexual twelve year old boy she has the balls to call Ino, one of the best looking characters in the show "pig". What the fuck. 4: This bitch actually physically assaults Naruto, I can forgive it when Winry does it in FMA because you can always understand and empathize with her reasoning, you never doubt that she cares, but with Sakura, it's always clear that it's because she's a vile bitch who doesn't give a fuck about other people. 5: She literally has inner monologues with her evil (true) self about being a fucking bitch. 6: She is absolutely useless throughout the series, she learns NOTHING. 7: This is extra egregious since she's part of team 7, this is the old staple of the "core three", like in harry potter, the idea of a group of three works very well narrative wise, but if you go with that set-up, you need to make all three matter. There can be one who is more important (the hero), but not 1 useless one. Sakura is the main character who is struggling to compete with the side characters. Imagine if Hermione had been as relevant to the story, and as useful, as say, Lavender Brown. All you'd wonder is why the fuck this third wheel is running after our main characters. Naruto gave us this core three premise, then proceeded to fail to live up to it. 8: This is extra annoying since Naruto has amazing potential characters like Hinata, whose story perfectly fits in with Narutos, and is a natural extension of the main characters story, instead of some tacked on side story like Sakuras bullshit. Sakura takes up a valuable place in the core-three set up. Narutos entire motivation to save Sasuke is that he believes that Sasuke is the first person to recognize him, but he isn't, Hinata was, and Sakura was pretty much the last. Sakura should have been in a different group, Naruto should have been paired up with Sasuke and Hinata, he should have been disappointed that he wasn't in the group with the girl he was infatuated with, but in the end, he would have figured out it was for the best. Hinatas journey of self-improvement based on following Naruto works much better than Sakuras since it is not based on power but out of respect for who he is on the inside, for his ninja way, and her quest to improve herself makes us root for her when she fails, unlike Sakura, whose failures only make us hate her. Sakura should have been a side character that shows up every now and then to show the audience that this is not the sort of person Naruto should be with, the end. Hinata cared for Naruto before he was a hero, before he was the son of the hokage, before he had power, she saw him back when he acted out, and believed no one saw him. His interactions with her are cute and positive, whenever he interacts with Sakura it's pure frustration. Hinata could have served as Narutos emotional support, her presence could have helped him the same way his helps her, but instead we get Sakura, who is too busy scrubbing the floor with cunt juices thinking about Sakura to actually be of any help to the member of her team that was clearly going through a lot of shit with dying masters, enslaved, beasts, handling being an orphan, etc. Fuck even Sakuras healing subplot would have worked better with Hinata, the contrast between her shy nature and Tsunades no nonsense attitude would have been great. It would work with her character and story, having to stop relying on Naruto, having to let him go, and then coming back later as a stronger, assertive, and more confident woman. When Naruto would see her again he'd be smitten without realizing it. By letting go of Naruto she would have become what she needed to be to catch his attention. Her new healing would fit with her kind nature, and her Byakugan would have allowed her to surpass even Tsunade. The Byakugan always has gotten outshined by the Sharingan. Speaking of which, how fitting would it be for Naruto to be the one loser in between two legendary eye families? 9: She is shallow as fuck, she literally only cares about Sasuke because she thinks he's hot, It's the same superficial reason that Naruto likes her, the lesson here should simply be that this is not the right fucking reason to like someone. How this bitch ever became more than a side character meant to teach Naruto not to be superficial is beyond me, her literal only function in the Naruto universe is to be like an evil counter to Hinata. She has bright colors that signify superficial sparkly prettiness as opposed to Hinatas more reserved beauty. She starts respecting Naruto when he gains status, as opposed to Hinata he respects him for who is is on the inside. She thinks Naruto should be better in order to be worthy of her while Hinata wants to improve herself to be worthy of being with him. She's a bitch when Hinata is kind. She wants Naruto to help/work for her, while Hinata wants to help Naruto. 10: She doesn't give a shit about Naruto, who did everything for his team members, which included her, until he became a hero, by that time maybe he wasn't useless, maybe he was ok, now that he was a hero, maybe he would be worthy of her treating him like a human fucking being. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE BITCH!, god, can you image if he had ended up with her? What a sick , twisted, horrible, lesson that would have been. And the thing is, these problems don't just add up, they multiply, they strengthen each other. Every single furious detail makes every other detail that much harder to bear. Not only is it annoying that she thinks she's hot shit, but it becomes even worse because she's actually ugly as fuck, not only does she insult Naruto for being useless, it's even worse because clearly, SHE'S the fucking useless one.

Hinata in Team 7 would be interesting since all 3 of them are the "outcasts"...Naruto is the jinchuuriki, Sasuke is the last Uchiha and Hinata is considered too weak by her own family...also liked the idea for Hinata or any other Hyuga to be a medic-nin cuz they have Byakugan...i mean it's x-ray vision! that's really useful for medical purposes (i wonder why Kishi didn't think about this) but anyway, i really like the relationship of the original team 8, they're really complement each other

Can't wait for pt 2! I find this very interesting and I love it! Though at the Chunin exams part I kinda think that things would stay the same because of the impacted it made. Hinata fighting and losing against Neji showed that she was stronger that he thought. And how Naruto vowed to beat Neji, which he did. It also gave some development for Neji during that fight. I also want to hear your view on how Sakura would do with Kiba and Shino, how she would progress with them. I feel like both girls would progress a lot if they both were on different teams (Hinata on Team 7 and Sakura on Team 8, obviously). Anyway, I really loved this and look forward to the second part. 😊

honestly the series would have been way better. kishi didn't develop side characters so if hinata was a main character she would have become way stronger than sakura ever was as a main character. hinata was sweet she would have been nice to naruto and sasuke. honestly sasuke would probably have prefered hinata to be there instead of sakura who he found so annoying non stop. hinata could have been friends with sasuke and would see him as a person and see his hardships instead of fawning over his looks. hinata also wouldn't have been useless at all, in the start she would have been stronger than naruto was.

This is awesome, the only flaw I have with this is Hinata not facing off with Neji, because the outcome of that fight led to both Neji and Naruto's characters to develop further, and made their fight so important to the story ( with all of the Hyuga clan backstory). And Naruto seeing Hinata being disrespected as much as she was really just drove him to work even harder, and if Hinata was on team 7 Naruto would have been even more angry.

i have a few more ideas for more what-if videos 1. what if sasuke killed sakura and kakashi after the fight with danzo before naruto showed up? would he still try to safe sasuke or just kill him in a fit of rage 2. what if itachi told sasuke the truth about the massacre right after it happened and stay in the village with sasuke to teach him everything that he knows (including his ninja way) while telling the whole village about obito/madara/tobi and that he killed the clan instead of leaving sasuke all alone and force him to live a life full of revenge against his own brother 3.what if minato used sage mode during the nine tails attack and actually recognized obitos chakra from the 'masked man' 4. what if gaara killed sakura in front of naruto and sasuke in the konoha attack and triggered sasukes mangekyo which made naruto and sasuke kill gaara instead of naruto using his talk no jutsu on him and letting temari and kankuro escape with him 5. what if naruto was the one who was seemingly killed by haku? would it have been enough to trigger sasukes mangekyou since sasuke at this point already cared about naruto and kakashi kill zabuza with that first raikiri (as fans know the interactions with haku and zabuza made naruto realize his ninja way) 6. what if shisui or itachi killed danzo? 7. what if naruto managed to bring sasuke back in the first fight at the final valley? 8. what if sasuke simply killed sakura when he left the village to trigger his mangekyou instead of just knocking her out? 9. what if kakashi never showed up when naruto and sasuke fought on the hospital roof and the chidori-rasengan clash killed sakura trigger sasukes mangekyou to awaken and give both naruto and sasuke some serious PTSD like kakashi after he killed rin 10. what if hinata became a part of team 7 instead of sakura? 11. what if sasuke stayed in the village after the war and take a hashirama cell-arm ( which would boost his chakra reserves and give him healing powers) instead of going on his journey and investigate kaguyas dimensions 12. what if itachi killed orochimaru when they were both still in the akatsuki?

I wonder if instead of doing boruto if the author thought of "what if" scenarios with his story and tried retelling it with different characters in different positions. Would people be interested in watching/reading another naruto series with the OG cast but with major changes like having hinata in team 7 instead of sakura?

Team 8 is really built for tracking and hinata really suits to that! That's why i really love her and her team alot just like how the ino shika cho built.

Legit if Hinata was on Team 7 that would've made for a better story, a better ship, and better character development for the team. Also, then Sasuke probably wouldn't have left the village, and Hinata would've reached her prodigious potential and truly become recognized as the strongest Hyuuga to ever live. Plus, it'll be all of Kaguya's descendants on one team.

I would like to present an alternative to the team dynamic. When I got to the tree climbing section of the story something changed and I must talk about it. You talk about their performance as a unit but what their individual personalities? Hinata’s kindness changes the team dynamic, maybe even allowing Naruto and Sasuke to be more socially connected. Sakura is the cause of their team falling apart. She treats Sasuke with love and Naruto with contempt. With Hinata on the team, how do they change as individuals? I know this is the first of eight videos I have to watch but has this question been answered in any way?

It would make much more narrative sense, which is more important than the details.

If you think about it, her canon team actually similar to team 7. Kiba = careless and hyperactive Shino = closed and sulky She was the one who unite them as she quickly pay attention when anyone feel down. Her timid nature also didn't intimidate Sasuke and atleast he know where he must use Hinata's ability rather than worry about left her behind. It would be fun to see two guy in team 7 swear to beat up Neji in Chuunin exam. Now if we put Hinata on team 7, where we has to put Sakura without make her team break up? Ino, although similar as her, still stuck up with her team and never break up friendship no matter what. Team 7 already on verge of break up as Sakura pay attention too much on Sasuke and diss Naruto.

If sakura was not in team 7, she wouldnt be able to develop and to push herself until the shinobi she is now. Because of naruto and sasuke she was able to develop and train herself and to be more of a use in their team so i say is she was in team 8 she would be less useful than in team 7

basically sakura had a purpose. naruto was in love with her but she was focus on Sasuke. This motivated him to get stronger and to get on Sasuke level to impress sakura. This led to the promise he gave to Sakura to get Sasuke back which led him to get stronger. hinata wouldnt gave naruto the same purpose as sakura did

Tactically speaking this wouldn't make sense for the village. Hinatas team was meant for tracking missions. Team 7 was put together mostly because of genjutsu. Sakura was resistant to genjutsu and sasuke was meant to use his sharingan to control the nine tails if Naruto lost control

Exactly this is why Hinata deserves to be part of Team 7, She is perfect for Naruto. I hate Sakura but I love Hinata she's the perfect girl for Naruto.

I think might be better in team 8 plus she is a genjutsu type ninja. and about hinata sorry but don't over hype about her. but if you had group like genius sasuke a high level up ninja like kakashi and hard worker like naruto you will probably out perform in an instant by them I mean anyone in kunoichi who team by them. probably we see hinata is useless just like what we see to sakura. sakura ino and hinata is just being average type of ninja to be honest so there's no point of thinking who will be a good teammate

Naruto would have never been jealous, there would have never been a "promise." Hinata wouldn't be as shy, but Naruto would form a strong relationship with her. And Hinata would help him overcome all his weaknesses as she'd notice all of them, Naruto would have less motive to do better than sasuke as sakura wouldn't be there, Sasuke would still eventually got to orochimaru as Naruto would still have nine tailed moments making him jealous. Hinata wouldn't be to shy as she'd have to interact with him, she'd definitely still have some moments.

hinata will be another obsess but more annoying bcoz of "naruto-kun" will be like in entire series n only naruto would care for sasuke...thts my opinion so put yours in other comment. sakura n hinata was completely different in term of personality n strength so i guess i cant predict much but for me, it will be like in kiba's team. hinata is kinda introvert n her determination is not tht high up than sakura who is more strong willed n social. she's shy n gentle so team 7 wont be better but will be a lot different...the reason why sakura is in team 7 is bcoz she has the most normal family background n her strong personality which started as annoying but its changing by time. shes like a mother figured to two orphan boys who need someone to knock them off sometime n believe in them. hinata is a kind girl but she also had her own prob which is her father n power struggle as a hyuga descend...hinata need someone to help motivate her.
