What If Old Obi Wan SAVED Darth Maul on Tatooine 

I just love how Vader is just confused the entire time. All these rocky emotions and yet my favorite part is just Vader being "wtf is going on here"

This was absolutely amazing. Anakin realizing that his kids cared more about Maul then him had to have hit hard. Maul had took Qui-Gon from Anakin too. He watched Maul take Satine from Kenobi during the Clone Wars. He viewed Maul as evil. So to see him turned to the light side, training both of his children, who admired this man more than himself, just had to have shown him how far he has fallen. This has been my favorite What If so far. The dynamic between Kenobi and Maul has always been one of my favorite things about Star Wars.

Even if it was intentionally emotional, and as much as I imagined a Maul's redemption arc, as with every other potential character, your delivery is very poetic and peaceful. Good story, but my god. I lost it at "Vader is a little snitch." That line fucking killed me.

I havn't seen everything yet, but i find this idea poetic, one master corrupted the other's apprentice, brought him to the darkness, and one master redeemed the apprentice from the dark and gave him a chance to feel the light.

This both cured and caused my depression! Great story! Also loved how confused Anakin was the entire time seeing Maul haha. Now excuse me I need to go buy some more tissues cause I'm not crying you're crying! lol

I always thought of maul as a child. His childhood was so messed up that he never matured properly. His story was so sad and he may have been evil, but evil isn’t birthed it is taught

Maul's redemption journey maybe he could be there for Ezra in a new light this time around with balance instead of darkness

Honestly this episode made me emotional. Everything that happened between Ben and Maul on Tattooine got me and Maul being accepted into the Force with Ben and Anakin really hit hard. Especially since knowing Maul’s story, easily one of my favorite “What if” scenario

This is deeper, and more well wrote than anything disney star wars has produced in the last 10 years.

This is amazing! Watching Maul's development and tragic yet bitersweet ending made me feel emotional. I love his and Obi-Wan's brotherhood and the latter's death almost made me emotional. I felt bad for Anakin realizing his children cares more about Maul, but he has ultimately chosen darkness, despite how he was groomed by Sidious since the age of nine and his tragic backstory.

What if Ahsoka joined Vader on Malachor? What if General Grievous was force sensitive? What if the Jedi deleted Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith? What if Anakin alone arrested Palpatine/Darth Sidious after learning he is the Sith Lord? What if Thrawn was a Jedi?

An epic alternate outcome. I don't have the words to describe this. I had to listen to it 3 times so I can envision in in my head as an audience member in a theater. THIS WOULD HAVE WORKED. Maul's path of vengeance evolving to a path of redemption. Love it.

Another brilliant tear jerking masterpiece of a tale, I've got some new questions based on this one 1. What if Obi-wan and Qui gon jinn brought Maul to the light in the phantom menace? 2. What if Obi-wan brought Maul to the light before he killed Satine? And my usual request What if Thrawn became emperor? What if the Jedi council fell to the dark side not Anakin?

I've some ideas for What If: - What if Palpatine wasn't elected the chancellor of the Republic in Phantom Menace? - What if Anakin's bombing run managed to kill Grievous on Malevolence - What if it was Saw and not Steela who died on Onderon? - What if Anakin killed Dooku in their duel during the Rako Hardeen arc? - What if Tarkin died in the Citadel meaning there would be no Tarkin Doctrine for the Empire? - What if Qi'ra joined the Galactic Empire with Han perhaps becoming an ISB agent? - What if Han killed Darth Vader during the battle of Yavin? - What if the Ashmead's Lock's prisoners succeeded in assassinating Mon Mothma meaning that Leia would become chancellor and the New Republic wouldn't demilitarize?

If ever there was a villain that deserved more it was Maul. It’s stories like these that show just how great of a redemption story he could have had. As one of my favorite characters I always enjoy seeing when he gets some kind of a happy ending

The first part was emotional! Nice story. It reminds me vaguely of the what if story where Yoda crashes the Death Star into Coruscant

This was really good. Its one of the two scenarios I've always pondered, those being either Maul or Dooku surviving to go on to meet Luke and help defeat Sidious. Maul is certainly easier to pull this off with since he's younger and outlived Dooku. The only way I can see Dooku living to that point is something like him entering a force trance before Anakin beheads him and playing the long odds that a secret medical droids team he has on standby might successfully evacuate his body to a secret base, reattach his head (His force trance having preserved brain function, then he remains in stasis a few years, planning to wake later and ambush Sidious only to meet Luke and find redemption.

That...that hit me in the feels...I could almost hear Maul trying Kenobi out in anguish.

I always wondered what would happen if Obi Wan didn't kill Maul there. It's probably one of the most interesting "What Ifs" scenarios Star Wars has, at least that hasn't been done in a thousand verses by a thousand voices.

Got me right in the feels, this did. 😢😂. You should have given Maul the chance to return as a Force Ghost, the same as Anakin and Ben Kenobi. A final scene could show five Force Ghosts, including a young Maul without tattoos or the yellow eyes of the Sith and sporting a jubilant smile, next to a young Obi-Wan at the time he and Maul first crossed blades, looking to each other and laughing joyously next to a young Anakin Skywalker, he also chuckling next to a smiling Qui-Gon Jinn, and Yoda who looks at all of them and nods sagely with a mischievous grin.

I can honestly say that the ending brought tears to my eyes. Very well written and we'll narrated. Thank you and may the force be with you, always.
