This is CAP. If you go based on feats alone it won't get you anywhere. 1. Tengen Uzui is the 2nd physically strongest hashira. In DS physical strength is very important as it contributes to overall power and control. Its the main reason why Gyomei is so strong. 2. Tengen Uzui is the Fastest hashira in running speed. People keep saying that running speed doesn't mean anything in a fight. But overall Running speed, means faster physical movement, faster reaction time and endurance. It was stated that Tengen Uzui is so fast that Tanjiro and the others though he disappeared. 3. EXPERIENCE. This one is very important. It was officially confirmed that Tengen Uzui is the 2nd most experienced hashira and most experienced in overall combat. According to Obanai, His experience is the only reason he was able to dodge so much of Muzan's attacks and has such good technique. This is also the reason why Muichiro lost so easily. Experience = overall speed, reflexes and reaction time. This is again why Gyomei has such good reflexes. Tengen Uzui has for more experience then Rengoku. Senses - Tengen Uzui was confirmed by Gyutaro to have otherworldly sense because he's a shinobi. Kyojuro has really bad hearing because of his fight with the flute demon. Tengen can move without making a sound. It would be really hard for Kyojuro to predict his movements. Reflexes. I already talked about this from experience, but besides that, Tengen has extreme muscle controll, probably the best besides Gyomei. His Muscle controll is so good that he could stop his heart to slow the poison. Muscle control - reflexes. Tengen was also the one to teach Sanemi how to close his wounds. Skill. Tengen Uzui is probably the most skilled hashira along with Gyomei. Tengen was training from a child and is extremely skilled due to being a shinobi. In the official databook, their was a panel that showed what the demons thoughts were on the demon slayers. All of them said that Tengen's movements were very accurate and precise. Durability and endurance - Bigger body + experience = More durability and endurance. Stamina - Tengen has the best stamina among the hashira. He was in charge of the stamina training in the HTA arc. He was also confirmed to have a freakishly large lung capacity in one of the light novels. Breathing - Tengen has arguable betetr breathing than Rengoku. He was confirmed to have a freakishly large lung capacity. AS makamo stated, a large lung capacity is the key to becoming stronger with breathing. Breathing Technique - Flame breathing is probably the closest breathing technique to sun (besides moon breathing). Kyojuro even made his own form. Sound breathing is the only non demonized breathing technique that is visible to the human eye. This is because it is used with small bombs which greatly increases the attack potency. Tengen's blades are also coated with a powder that causes explosions with the friction against the air. Special ability - Tengen easily takes this. MST (Musical Score) is easily one of the strongest abilities for a demon slayer. Tengen analyzes his opponents fighting style, turns it into a song (musical notes) and counters it. It was stated that he can read and predict all attacks while doing this, even in blind spots. It also allows him to create an attack from himself that's a direct hit. So by stats, Tengen is superior to Kyojuro. And is the 2nd strongest hashira due to these reasons (unmarked). The reason why Tengen was loosing was because of the poison. Tengen stated multiple times that if he didn't get poisoned, he couldn't be in that mess. The poison made Tengen significantly weaker. Gyutaro's poison made Tengen only capable of dodging his attacks, thats why he needed Tanjiro to decapitate Gyutaro. Tengen got poisoned mainly because he underestimated Gyutaro at first. When he went to attack, Gyutaro quickly went for the kill and Tengen deflected it to his head. Tengen beats rangoku. Sources: Manga, Databooks, Light novels.

Id say Uzui because ppl often make the mistake of just using how they do against demons and saying thats how it would be 1 on 1 which isnt true and especially in a duel Uzui is superior physically and his weird fighting style with his two swords would catch another duelist offguard like it did to Gyutaro. Id also say a Gyuotaro going all out and not messing around is more impressive than an Akaza who's just clowning around. Those bombs would also be devastating especially to a human

I feel Tengen with all his abilities but none of the nerfs, both hands,eyes, and musical score technique wins

I like how we downplay that Akaza nearly died to a weaker opponent and practically groveled his way out of danger.

A thing I think is worth looking at is tengen was poisoned during the entire fight nerfing his ability to perform at his best. while at the same time having to protect tanjiro at many points holding him back from fighting at his fullest. Imagine if he wasn’t poisoned which would’ve probably prevented his arm being chopped off while using musical score I think he could’ve pulled off the win personally. He’s also a trained shinobi so he’s probably more skilled at killing people

majority of the fight though, Tengen was poisoned too. then after stopping his heart beat and losing his hand, he still fought on par. i dont think he got clapped

I think a lot of people downplay Uzui’s speed. The only reason his strikes didn’t seem so insanely fast is because Gyutaro’s speed is also impressive. The guidebooks offer some real useful info for powerscaling, and state that Uzui is actually the fastest hashira, which makes sense given his ninja past, his breathing style, and his weaponry. But also, Rengoku is a beast. 50/50 imo

You don't think musical score is important? basically ultra instict! as a muay thai fighter this was the best thing in the show for real life. No one's going to wait for you to breath in a fight but to dominate with rhythm is world class

Bro u didn't mention nezuko in 3:16. even if they would won, they would have been died by gyutaro's poison, but nezuko saved their lifes. So, nezuko also plays a main role ryt there. And also didn't underestimate gyutaro's power man. To most extent Muzan is correct about gyutaro because gyutaro's only purpose is to protect daki, u can see gyutaro also give a eye to daki for more power and keep an eye on her. In my opinion gyutaro can climb upto uper moon 4 if he wants to. Gyutaro has so many deadly attacks even tenzen faces a hard time for overcome gyutaro's poison even tenzen has a high tolerence of poison in compare to any other hashira. In my opinion tenzen is lil bit ahead to rengoku in 1v1 battle because tenzen has a lot of extra weapons, but if we r talking about pure sword fight rengoku takes a win. . . . . . only my opinion

you forgetting that tengen got poisoned at the start of the fight which hindered his abilities, and you definitely down playing gyutaro because you put rengoku against gyutaro and he is getting finished with in seconds via poison. Look at how fast the poison acted on tanjiro, someone without poison resistance at the end of the fight. Tanjiro got poisoned at the end of the fight and minutes later he was on the verge of dying

Tengen was a senior in Hashira long bfr Rengoku recrutement, however he really look up with Rengoku. And not just because of he always give positive vibe, but the way he praise also lean to his potential and power. That alone show that Tengen know how strong was Rengoku, because he is one of the Hashiras along side with Sanemi that mock Rengoku when he want to replace his father's place in Hashira (Gaiden). About fighting Hairo Lower 2, that was his 1st mission. On his 1st mission able to defeat lower 2? Think again. And if Rengoku had more time to train, for sure he will be top 4 or 3 in Hashiras. And Akaza trying to convince Rengoku multiple time to join Demon side was a great representation of how strong he was and can be. We also need to know that Uzui already trained himself long bfr Rengoku join the club. Plus, he continue to train after Rengoku's Donut. So its not a good comparison to do between Rengoku Akaza fight and Uzui Gyotaro fight since Uzui have gone through various trainings and improve a lot.

Tegen takes strength,senses, skill, experience and special ability. Rengoku takes the rest. 1. Strength- I do agree tengen is most likely physically stronger. 2. Overall speed- Tengen most likely does have the fastest running speed but saying that running speed implies faster reaction time and endurance and physical movement is completely false. How does running faster mean you can react to things faster and have more endurance. Running faster might help the physical movement of your legs? but they swing swords not legs. Rengoku has been shown to keep up with akaza's movements and speed blitz more then 3 carts on the train. Not to mention he speed blitz and caught up to the fast demon known as the Slasher. Rengoku takes this. 3. Experience- I do agree tengen has more experience because he used to be a shinobi. 4. Senses- I do agree tengen has better senses, hence the fact he was a shinobi. 5. Another really good reflex speed is that he dodged literal bullets from Hairo. 6. Skill- I agree tengen is more skilled since he is a shinobi. 7. Rengoku has more mental and physical endurance he had smashed ribs damaged internal organs and a smashed eye a pierced solar plexus and was giving it his all which just shows pure will power, dedication, and more phsyical and mental endurance. Tengen quit when he lost his hand and an eye... 9. Stamina- Him being assigned for stamina training is an irrelvant feat any hashira couldve been assigned that. Him having a large lung capacity doesnt mean he has more stamina. Just means he can intake more oxygen incase you dont understand how the human body works. Rengoku had just speed blitz most of a train and fought upper moon 3 and still wasnt done yet. Meanwhile tengen was quickly losing strength and energy dueling gyutaro. You can say this is because of the poison but the difference between the poison and stamina loss is easy to see. Tengen was literally running out of stamina fighting one upper moon (which is the weakest one) And he had the help of a marked tanjiro. (Tanjiro was the one who cut off his head). 10. Breathing- Irelevant category dont even know why u brought this up in this debate. 11. Breathing technique- Rengoku takes this because flame breathing has offensive move and defensive moves. Sound breathing is just made up of offensive moves. This might not be completely relevant but flame breathing is the closest breathing style to sun breathing besides moon breathing. 12. Special ability/skill set- Tengen takes this because he has more moves like musical score and the bomb dropping including sound breathing. However musical score is his translation of better understanding moves and patterns which most likely every hashira has but just in different ways. 13. Feats- Rengoku has better feats and its not really debatable. He protected all 200 passengers on the train and then right after held off upper moon 3 until sunrise and also killed Hairo which is not much of a feat since he was a lower moon but is still usable. Tengen however almost dies to the weakest of the upper ranks with the help of a mark tanjiro who was arguably low hashira rank or a little lower. To top it all off Tengen wasnt even the one to cut off gyutaro's head. In conclusion, Rengoku beats tengen uzui mid-high diff if we go by stats and feats. Their feats are incomparable, having tengen showing relativity to gyutaro while with a death amp. and then Rengoku literally in base showing relativity to akaza, and were not boutta make the argument that Gyutaro beats Akaza, right? One thing worth mentioning is that Rengoku matched or exceeded Akaza in raw strength, he held him so tightly that Akaza had to rip his own arms off to escape, this was whilst he was dying from a massive hole in his stomach. You could also argue that Akaza mostly held back abilities as opposed to physically, since he in character only respects those that he sees as strong, and he clashed with rengoku before givim him respect. The way rengoku is talked about by the other Hashira also indicates that before the marks started etc he was probably one of the strongest Hashira, Uzui in particular seems to see himself as barely worth the title of Hashira.

I don't know how to put this in the equation, but Tanjiro viewed Rengoku vs Akaza as a blur, he wasn't capable of following their movements. However, he was able to defend against UM6 Rengoku was matching Akaza in speed, while Tengen was matching UM6. Speed is a big thing in anime, maybe that means Rengoku is too fast for UM6? idk...

When you said again Rengoku fought Akaza, you forgot to say again that, he fought an 50% Akaza. While Tengen fought an full out Gyutaro. Also, I see this downplay A LOT, but, before the poison got really deep to affect Tengen, he almost beheaded Daki and Gyutaro both, alone. When he extended his swords. Later on he lose in a 1vs1 with Gyutaro. That makes clear the presence of the poison, but most people choose to ignore some details.

I think the main reason why Tengen relatively got destroyed by Gyutaro was because of his poison. Akaza just uses pure strength to subdue or kill his opponents, whereas Gyutaro strategy is to poison his enemies and fight them until they either drop dead from the poison or himself. Without the poison Tengen would've contented much better

Theres a whole canon thingy stating tengen is the fastest hashira. I'm not even trying to gas tengen up but the author herself deemed tengen as the fastest of the hashira.

Rengoku is featless. He has litterally no battle feats. He was destroyed in 3 manga pages, and akaza blocked his strongest attack while laughing. Tengen has way better strenght, speed, intelligence, durability, stamina, endurance, abilities and sword skills. There is no debate here, tengen statements (2 physical strongest, 1st in running speed, used as an example of high durability and tecnique speed, and stated to be one of the smartest hashira) are 1000 times better than rengoku's.

It's really hard to see who's actually going to win. But I'm leaning on to Tengen. Rengoku fights for honor. Tengen fights for survival. Rengoku fights like a warrior samurai. Tengen fights like a quiet assassin ninja. Rengoku will fight heads on and analyze throughout the battle. Tengen will analyze from a distance like batman before he makes his moves. It's like samurai vs ninja. Both have ups and downs. So it depends where the they fight, in an open field or close quarter, etc.

The reason why we argue allot about who is better is because of the sh*t writing. How a man with insane speed and insane physical prowess, coupled with shinobi training etc... lose to guy like rengoku? Tengen can literally read his opponents style and predicts what he'll do next, doesn't make sense.

The reason why he said his sister would be holding him back is because he'll try to feed his sister humans, and won't try to get stronger. If he would have eaten all the pillars, he would have gotten stronger then the upper 4 or 5 not going to lie but the sound pillars, really not that powerful when it comes to physical Iq his wife were literally the main reason why he survived half of the time😅 She used poison till we can him, both as soon as he grabbed the poison out of him, he slapped the sound pillar it's the main character, didn't have one, it goes poison things near him, he would have died by the upper 6 and defender breathing user wouldn't get up fast enough for him because he would have been dead literary, they got almost killed when the sound pillar went down the 2 other slayers went down, one that got stabbed in the heart almost, and one got buried in the rubble. It didn't the main character with his sister we're helpless until he used the last of his strength to hold them down until the sound pillar hold him down it was really hard to say that the sister Ashley killed the pillar by herself since, as uer brother said, he helped her kill them so the main reason why the almost died is because of the brother😅

Bro when will the Tengen downplay end Dude Tengen was fighting under extreme circumstances, he was caught off guard by Gyutaro at the start which resulted in him getting poisoned, he had to protect Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and his wife while being poisoned. He also had to decapitate both of them at the same time. You really think that Rengoku would even survive under those circumstances

There’s no need for a video, Rengoku is miles ahead. 1st: Tengen admired Rengokus strength “how would you fight” “Perhaps I can’t do what u did” “Even Rengoku lost to an upper demon” 2nd: Tanjiro confirmed, after seeing the 2 in battle “Rengoku was the strongest guy I knew” chapter 131. 3rd: Rengoku contending against Akaza and forcing him to use annihilation, perhaps his strongest ability is an insane feat.

Why you downplaying tengen and boosting rengoku up like that

in my opinion I think tengen barely stronger then rengoku that's only bc in the manga it states that gytarou would have been ranked higher if he was not taking care and protecting daki also it says he could have challenged akaza but that could've gone anyones way

4:05 I get your point, but I think it's misunderstood. Muzan isn't saying that Gyutaro could take on all 4 of them and win. He's saying that, if Gyutaro fought from the start, he would have won. Bottom panel: "If Gyutaro had fought by himself from the beginning, he would have won." By start, he means as soon as Daki started fighting. Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Tengen were all separated. Zenitsu was captured. If Gyutaro was fighting instead of Tanjiro, he would have killed them one by one. When they all got together, Daki was definetely useful in holding off 2 of them, but Gyutaro STILL didn't need her. Here is why: Bottom panel: "He shouldn't have fought after poisoning them, but..." Basically, as soon as Gyutaro poisoned Tengen, the battle was over for the demon slayers. After that, all he has to do is run and wait, and then Tengen will die. Then he can just come back and kill the other 3 easily. Though to be honest, Muzan's speculations don't really mean much, since Muzan is missing one key detail: Gyutaro DID win. He DID defeat Tengen, stab Inosuke, and rescued Daki, letting her wreck the whole place. Gyutaro's biggest failure wasn't that he had Daki by his side, or that he continued the fight. His biggest failure is that he didn't finish off ANY of the main heroes. Just killing ONE of them would have secured his victory. Tengen and Tanjiro needed eachother. Zenitsu and Inosuke needed eachother. If any one of them died with a simple stab to the head, Gyutaro would win.

i always wondered what would happen if Rengoku unlocked the demon slayer mark? would he catch akaza off guard and decapitate him? would he hold out long enough for the sun to come up? heck he would even stand a chance of maybe even beating him? since i would most definantly scale rengoku with the mark above most marked hashira. at least easily giyuu who Akaza at least had to use 70 to 85% of his strength to beat. its an interesting concept

This is the second video I have watched on this channel downplaying Rengoku's feats against Akaza. I understand the need to highlight Akaza's prowess as an upper-rank demon, but in no way shape or form was he having fun fighting Rengoku. He barely made it out alive, so lets drop all that Akaza using 50% of his power narrative. Its kinda stupid and bad optics to go into a fight at 50% and barely make it out alive, running like a coward.

I just watched demon slayer but from what ive seen and heard its comfirmed tengen is faster and stronger than rengoku and as the video said he has better fighting and abilities i get everyone loves rengoku but just because he fought akaza doesnt make him stronger than tengen you have to think tengen was fighting a demon who actually wanted to kill him cause tengen attacked his sister while rengoku was fighting a demon who wanted to recruit him two different reasons if akaza was to go all out from the start he wouldve killed not only regoku but tanjiro and the others only reason he didnt is cause rengoku asked them to stay out of it while tengen was fighting with them and defending them if it had been tengen solo he wouldnt have gotten poisoned or lost an arm and eye protecting his wife and tanjiro

So i would like to tell mu opinion about rengoku and giyu akaza couldnt do some moves to rengoku cz they where in a big area he cant just do close range moves and with that said and seeing in the manga giyu getting abliterated with one move easily and with tanjiros help while rengoku on the other hand almost defeating akaza its hard to bulieve that giyu is stronger than rengoku

Rengoku is my fav pillar but Tengen just outclasses him in all categories. The ONLY category Rengoku takes the win in,is a more effective breathing style against demons but that alone does not allow Rengoku to be Tengens rival or anything like that. Against Gyutaro,Rengoku would get folded faster than what Akaza did to him(and NO this is not me saying Gyutaro>Akaza so shut up cry babies).

bro do you honestly hate tengen?? tengen was poisoned and all and i guess you can say tanjiro and the others helped but also keep in mind tengen had to protect all of them including his wives and it was also stated gyutaro could be upper moon 4-3 level without daki not to mention tengen alone was going toe to toe with gyutaro until he got poisoned and got his eye injured and arm cutoff and he was still fighting bro?? im a fan of rengoku and tengen and it would be a close fight but what is rengoku doing against tengen's musical score technique?? tengen is also the fastest hashira and the second strongest in physical strengh after gyomei but rengoku has better breathing control and other perks and they would have a fun and intense prideful battle but i'd say tengen would come out on top.

Awsome video topic lol these two are arguably fairly close but I actually think this fight favors tengen, not just due to his bombs but other factors like for one, his experience, hes second only to gyomei in demon slaying experience and has even greater combat experience due to how he was raised, meanwhile rengoku is on the lower end of training and experience as he was trying to fill his fathers role training himself far later than uzui did when he enter the ds core let alone fighting in general, this is especially backed up by rengoku when he says how he could never be like tengen, and that his sword skill were a thing of beauty, implying tengen has greater sword skills not even counting musical score, which mind you could probably effect flame breathing much more effectivly as breath styles are much more choreographed than the demons other than upper moon 1, speaking of tengens musical score, the buff is VERY GREAT he went from fighting barely on par with gyutaro to pressing him with a missing arm/ tremendous blood loss/ even more time with the poison in his system, but back to skill, While I think rengoku is very skilled and powerful especially going against 50% akaza the main difference between him and giyuu or sanemi isnt power but HOW they fight, its not so much unmarked giyuu is far stronger but that water breathing is so much more defensive that of course giyuu was able to sustain less injuries until he could use his demon mark just like how sanemi obtained a fuck ton of injuries because wind breathing is pure offense and he trained his body to close wounds better so he could use his intoxicating blood which is why i actually think sanemi get dog walked by gyutaro, speaking of gyutaro, muzans prideful loner / selfish mindset clearly affect his opinion on the fight cause daki being there made it so that no hashira would be able to kill gyutaro regardless of skill unless they cut her head off too, but yeah I think tengen wins despite rengokus feats, as impressive as they are, great video
