Well if they all knew they were far too weak to fight against Buu, they could have always befriended Buu like Mr Satan did. The only reason Buu felt the need to fight against them originally was because they shot at him first and then Buu wanted to play. Let's say they don't here just because of how far out of their league Buu is. Or it is possible Babidi never would have went to Earth because he was originally drawn to the Earth by the power clash between Cell and Gohan. Either way you shake it though, Beerus is going to be far too bored by the Saiyans and will likely wipe out the planet unless Goku in otherworld training endlessly is enough to entertain him, but I still highly doubt that.
